Hey everyone! To make this brief, I am just a simple Elders Scrolls Online UA-camr and hey maybe I’ll expand within the future but for the time being, my focus is to help beginners, returning and veteran players to be informed about many things within the game whether that is events, money making guides or even builds! I hope y’all find the videos useful and don’t ever be afraid to leave comments with either suggestions or criticism! Oh and some of ya might want to do the research and find things on ya own, if that’s the case then give the links below a try!

To help justify my position so you guys don’t kill me the reason I dislike dragon knights for solo in addition to the reasons in the video I directly said are the gear they use generally require you to do dungeons trials pvp etc and I have to take that into consideration 😅

Thank you for covering solo PVE AND PVP! Videos like this are usually 1 or the other. I've mainly done PVE over the years but lately I've been looking more towards PVP. I want to do both kinds of content on the same character. Your content is always good and I appreciate ALL you do for the ESO community!
(PS Ive mained a templar for years but im looking to switch it up to a new main...happy so far on leveling my stamsorc! Chose dunmer so i can switch between mag & stam)
My comment was going to be practically the same exact comment down to the Templar for years but switching it up. I’m still undecided but I’m split on khajit sorc or Dunmer DK so I can switch between mag and Stam too 🤣I have an arcanist and it just doesn’t peak my interest

Necro: Bone Tyrant: Death scythe
Both these let you heal for damage done, so when things start looking bad, just keep swinging. DONT RETREAT! RELOAD!
Orc necro was my first character and is still arguably my fav, represent!

I mained Stamplar & Magplar, but when I returned to the game, I switched to StamDK. But I’ve got 5 Sorcs so I totally agree on S-tier 100%!
Stamina night blade with dagger&sword dual wield every other hit crits great single target damage and with those nightblade abilities that heal on kill helps compensate for low health

I have all the classes and I always think of myself as a Templar-stan. I've been playing a stam Arcanist since Necrom and really enjoying it. I'm 100% in agreement, it will get a nerf at some point. Oh well. Because of the XP for Witches Festival, I went back through my alts and wanted to complete off weapons skills and general skill completion (to 50 and IV). I had a Mag Sorc Healer that had a lot of gaps, so I ran him hybrid for most of the festival, got his skills and weapons rounded out and because of the nice Armory Station now I slotted in a Mag DPS version of him and have been playing him the last several days. I have been super happy with him. I'm regretting sleeping on Sorcs for as long as I did. I 100% back your S tier for Mag Sorcerers.

It does seem to depend a lot on the meta I’d say though focus on vate ice master duel wield master resto maelstrom fire
My first character in ESO was a Templar, but I wasn’t a fan of the class at all and it felt very counter-intuitive to how I wanted to play the game. Once I switched over to a Dragonknight, everything kind of fell into place and I was immediately comfortable with playing the class.
If I stuck with the Templar, I probably would have given up on the game after a few months. It’s because of the Dragonknight that I’m still playing ESO all these years later.
For the record, I play as a hybrid stamina/magicka DK and I mostly just quest and explore the overworld.
I also do solo on her. I have soloed dragonstar arena several times.
Necromancer and warden desperately need a buff, even if it’s just a minor buff.
Necro definitely needs to be reworked and buffed a lot. But no warden is beyond broken.

Warden doesn't have as much build diversity due to most warden builds not being viable unless built an extremely specific way, the class has alot of fans and should be buffed 100 percent. I don't play necro but I was under the impression

A fine tier list, very agreeable, aged quite well too. I wonder though what you meant when you said that Stamsorc requires more expensive food, and that it contains Perfect Roe. (You bought a horse Tony, in this economy?!) What buff food did you mean, and why does Stamsorc require it where others do not? :)
I have a synergy necro build. Use maw of inferno and defiler and Medusa heavy. Most pen and crit. Finally can kill world bosses that aren't to crazy solo
I love my magical based necromancer. She's my main character I use for vet dungeons. I use 1 bar oakensoul ring build with her and Sargent's Mail/Deadly Strikes. I may not hit 80k+ dps but I hit nearly 60k and stay alive.
I find playing a non magicka character the best for me. I also find an archer to be my best character. I do like this video.
I'd rank the DK a little bit higher but I agree with everything else.
What about a solo StamDragonknight Werewolf build? I'm thinking of running it with Ring of the pale order, Briarheart and maybe Hunding's rage. Do you think thats a viable solo build? Or any other recommended gear sets/monster sets for it?
After arcanist what is the best class for pvp i looking for opinions. best for pvp and useful in pve, like trial, for play in group... i wandering if Nightblade is that class. or anothers

I play as a Magcro. People have told me to switch to an Arcanist. Eventually, I'll do this. However, not before I reach the CP cap in the game. At the time of this writing, my Magcro is CP 1745. That doesn't happen overnight. Thanks for the video Jake, much ❤

Jake, would you be able to explain why stam builds are recommended over mag builds? I've searched for articles that discuss this topic, but to no avail.
Stam builds can push out more damage, and the best defense is a strong offense. They also have more stamina to roll dodge, which may be necessary for some PvE content. However, magicka builds can use restoration staff, and most class support skills are mag-based, so mag builds are tankier with better survivability and group support.
Medium armor gives more mobility when sprinting, but you can wear medium on mag classes too so I don't think that matters as much. Maybe the set bonuses of med armor benefit stam a little more.

I did not expect to see stamplar on S-tier. But yeah, I like to solo dungeons and Khajiit magplar is definitely the way to go. And yes, (Khajiit) Arcanist is also insanely good.
Bro just breath of life and you are good. Other classes require a hit or channel to get a very easy simple heal.
@@sneakymitchell7802 breath of life is very expensive and as solo you want to do damage, not heal. Mag jab, beam and PO should suffice as your heals. Also, Warden's equivalent is imo better and can be incorporated into a solo build.

Have you done all the hardest solo content? Some things here spot on and some wayyyy off the mark.
I’ve done the arenas I haven’t dived too far into infinite archive tho
I like NB as my main. They heal. They tank. They DPS. They do those things fairly well, depending on your style and build, but they do one thing exceptionally well that no other class really can without using potions... stealth. It allows you to harvest without being harassed, skip bad guys on the way to quest objectives. It just speeds things up. I gives you access to content others have difficulty doing.
I think that with free armory we should get rid of stam/magicka division in tier oist becouse you can easy swap
As someone who mains a stamden, I can definitely see why it’s not a top choice. I have to rely more on weapon skills than actual class skills, and while I can make it through hard content in the game I know for a fact that the damage output isn’t the best even with the right gear and rotation.
The sustain is also horrible. Most of the abilities cost a lot of resources, so I had to decide which ones to morph into magicka or stamina in order to make it work. I know that this is common for other classes too, but I feel like it’s worse on stamina wardens. I have to do the same on my healer warden, but not to the same extent. I feel like the stamina version was an afterthought tbh.
I hope Stamden gets some love I mean there is so much why a Magden is better than Stamden with the Frost Skills etc

Hit a score of 433k on maelstrom vet tonight and noticed the top 100 on the leaderboards were solely arcanist. ALL. 100. 😅
High-Elf Oakensoul Heavy Attack Sorc has got to be the easiest and most powerful PVE build in the entire game. Gear is from easy base game dungeons....I mean, it's so easy. Hit 55K heavy attacks are you serious? Just hold mouse 1 and out DPS most people in the game. 2 pets, 1 of which heals you on demand. Arcanist is high investment by comparison to what I just described with sorc.
Now this is one we can agree on … magsorc to me is the best class and always had been does everything so well
Stamsorc has always and always will be the best solo class. Built right it has best overall dps and survivability. Slap on pale order and briar heart and you'll never die while dishing out top tier dps. Only 2 needed and slap on choice of other set, monster set, or arena weapon and your golden for any content on any difficulty

Ty for the post. I do agree the Arcanist is long over due for a nerf. As much as it makes trails and 4 man and the endless content a lot easier it makes the game very lopsided. Your list looks good and yeah the warden is like the little train that couldn't and the necro is a pita for rotations. 1'1'3,2,1 swap 2'3'4,1 1 and skip the 4 on the second, skip the 3 on the third lol madness. I do agree with the Arcanist. I set up a magica Arcanist and quickly swapped all stat points into stamina because the sustain goes away quicker if you base everything on mag. I'd say build into the mag base play style but definitely have higher stamina so your main attacks will play on this. But watch out for running everywhere. Definitely Arcanist is very Solo and easy to run. But keep your pools broken up. Heals and shields on mag. Dps runs on stamina.
I like mag warden in A tier based on the ice skills and ice staff dps boost. If your not an ice warden I agree with it being B tier.
I think Templar for me is a really slept on class. I just don't like how locked into one style of play they are.
Necromancer is unless they get some real love next year. Always going to be D tier. The skills and clunky play style is just hard to overcome.
DK for me is either S tier or B tier depending on how you run them and how you set them up. After update 40 with the class set if they do not change the set. Is an extreme SSS tier.
templar is locked into one style of play? please dont tell that to my templar buddies in my guild! who btw all play very different templars! :o
@@raafmaat what I mean is most Templar is played with jabs and Jesus beam. There isn't many tanks dew to not lack of group buffs. Only having one pull outside of sets and Templar healers ( are good but in my opinion can't put heal a Warden ) that's why they have a class passive to help. You can make any toon play any roll but it takes more effort and more complexity to make it work. I wouldn't rate Templar as high as most because of this. ( Play Templar DPS with out jabs or beam. ). See what I mean

I thought for a long time about playing for DK or Arcanist. In all the videos they say that DK is the best pvp class. But God, how many DKs I killed with my stamina. arcanist))
It would be nice if they actually buff certain classes instead of nerfing others. Its nice to have classes that players enjoy without taken that away, instead making those classes falling behind more fun to play and balanced.
I hope you're not talking about the arcanist. It's almost unbeatable in BGs. Especially if you are against more than one. People who are not wanting the arcanist to be nerfed just wasn't good with anything else.
What is the best on solo pve? i'm playing nightblade, is that good or bad on solo pve?
For pve overworld content I love it, for dungeons and arenas it can be more difficult

Mag DK is in C and it’s probably S lol. It has corrosive and magma shell, dots that heal you, one of t he best dps and tanks, has a spammable in whip. The execute comment is pretty silly sorc you have S tier and you don’t use an execute parsing for example it’s DPS loss. DK also gives you your resource back when you hit your ultimate it’s nutty
For pvp you’d use the sorc execute

Really Hope Arcanist doesn’t get nerfed. It’s already much lower in its dps ceiling then other classes. It’s just a simplistic more fun rotation and is much better designed in defense. It’s also far weaker then sorc and they refuse to nerf sorcs.

I have a mag Sorc, but it seems so much weaker than other classes. Is it just weak at early game (level 12)?
Early game, everything is pretty weak. All of the classes really pick up by Level 50, and once you have all your class passive skills, Mag Sorc is very powerful!

When the game first came out I HAAAAATED the magsorc. Just felt like they had the skillset that was far above anything the other classes had.
But after all these years, all the proc sets and defencive setups needed for pvp builds now, I'd say Magsorc has become my favourite. It can still go with just resource sets. He doesn't need cheesy procs or crazy defencive sets because of its skillset. Nor does it need to be hybrid.
Yes they arent the best pvp class right now but for the style I like. Love them!

mag necro a c tier? thats simply a matter of not knowing what they can do. you say they are good at survival but that's about it? dude, i run an argonian necro as my main and solo world bosses and dungeons with over 120k on a parse......... granted, it involves learning and using the corpse mech but dam.. Guaranteed you are parsing on a stamina 2h build that you don't use in content so the parse means little. I love necros and they are good in solo content but they are still more challenging than most other classes.
@@MrKeykeylikesit negative. 1 bar mag - lightning staff, and yes i use it in content as it's my main. i know, hard to believe that someone can actually make a necro work by using it as it was designed to be used with the corpse mechanic. as for the parse, sure but it can still break 200k score in endless archive, so i guess i'm happy with it

Putting warden that low is wild, it’s easily the best class in the game lol. Dk that low too is questionable. Really every class is good except necro lol. And for pve most classes use the exact same gear. For pvp warden Templar dk are top and Arianism just punishes bad players is unkillable. Sort and no are super easy yo kite and avoid fights with good single target damage, and once again necro just blows. Done.
DK in PvP solo dropped a lot.
Surely arcanist get nerfed soon. I mean I love it when I tank a dungeon and see two green beans burning s room down in milliseconds but idk how that's fair. It's pay to win at that point.
Dk and Templar are both stronger than Arc in pvp. Dk has better instant damage and Templar has way better survival. Both have better burst heals and HoT's too. Arc works best as a status effect setup of course
NB's are the only class who will kill you regardless because of Spectral Bow being obscenely powerful no matter what you are.
Sorcs have always performed well top tier in every patch since 2016. And have gotten more burst now and QOL bar changes
Wardens can be stupid overpowered if you use certain set combos.
Necromancer is only good if you use arena weapons and proc sets unfortunately. The class skills need help.

Very funny about mana sorc. No spam ability, no execution ability, pet dependent for dmg and healing, half of passive skills are trash, no direct dmg aoe skill. LOL

@@Official_JakeClips if you mean crystals as spam and mage's fury as execute that's even more funnier. Crystal is too slow to cast, 0.8 sec and can't be really reliable coz of 33% chance of proc. Mage's fury has low dmg vs 20% health bar enemy. It doesn't have scaling like Night Blade's or Templar.

Stamsorc is easily S tier. Pale order and briar heart. Since day 1 of briar heart being a set i have completed all content on all difficulty and then pale order made stamsorc an unkillable dps machine. Maybe just the fast pace high dps stlye. But definitely top tier. I also understand stamsorc is more on the harder side to play. But definitely the best. Dont even get me started on pvp. If you know... you know. Stamsorc has been top 1v1 for years. Most are just blinded by "meta" and dont know real power. Also you definitely dont need top buff foods. Stamsroc has been nerfed so many times over the years for a reason. They even made one of our passives and straight up handicap vs others by literally lowering our damage the lower thier hp is. But STILL top class. Just requires that thing most players lack... skill.
The tricky piece is to run the best stam sorc sets you have to complete 4 man content but I do love the stam sorc
@JakeClipsESO mmmmm. Yes and no. You can just rock paraih as a second set and your golden for all solo content. The 3 sets makes you unkillable quite literally. You have to be not pressing buttons to die to any solo content. Group play trials and such sure. You need the 4 man stuff but that can be said about all classes. Pvp just get essence thief. Again that set requires skill because most have no idea how to move in pvp. Let alone fight.
No way in hell you put stam DK in B tier. It should be number 1 S tier. Its the best class in PVP by a fucking mile, and its the best survivability class in PVE, with insane damage.
Problem is the sets you need to get to the S tier require non solo content mostly
