Wrothgar is 1 of the best because it was the old team who put lots of little touches to it like a troll under the bridge and such....by todays standards it would be considered a 'chapter' but it was back before they realized people would pay full game price for dlc 😅
The design philosophy and quality differences are stark. You can see the same thing with classes that had original vision vs no original team involvement. There's a soul to those maps/classes that you don't find with the newest stuff. I think the dungeon team are the exception in the past few years.
None of the starter islands are worth going to if you are trying to get crafting materials, all of them are infested with bots swiping them the instant they spawn
Riften is honestly useful because it's easy to travel across, so low mount speed people can use it. The vamp/ww shrines IMHO are much easier to get bites at, and there's easy cultists to feed on. If you are ebomheart you can rush the simmur quest for free skill points, and access to the coldharbour starter.
Hi Jake, great video as per usual. How about doing a video on ranking 4 player dungeons sometime. I would have put Deadlands in the S-Tier. Reason being is I'm a Deadlands fanboy.
Rivenspire has a a decent overland spot, a good Public Dungeon and a very good Delve for powerleveling alts, it drops one set that actualy sells pretty good, one of the best basegame fishing spots and one of the better material farms. Doesn't make it S-Tier, but a pretty decent zone overall. Rift, well, I like it. Good story, end of the Pact storyline, good material farms, a decent overland grindspot, fishing/pelts/herbs all around the lake, nice scenery, and Riften is a good spot for bank/deconstruct/cooking/alchemy/enchanting. I would rank the Rift higher, but, personal taste (I'm a pact player at heart. Blood for the pact!) I think my favourite zone of them all is still the Gold Coast. The Dark Brotherhood storyline is amazing and the Blade of Woe is too much fun, especialy with my Nightblade it's a must have. And I simply love the scenery, the mediterranian flair. I think they did a really good job with this zone. It's a bit small though.
Hi Jake! Do you have a Patreon page? I cannot think of another content creator that provides me as much useful information as you Brother. Take care and stay safe!

Jake, Thank you. A wee bit ago I was moaning about my CP300+ character getting shredded by zombies. Essentially you said to gear up. I can continue quests for a while but it is really disheartening to know all I'm capable of is questing. I did want to thank you Jake for responding and trying to help.

Question as someone kind of new and learning. Why was the rift so bad? So far, I'm partial to ebonheart pact and know that's one I'll be going through soon. Thank you in advance for the information.
Cyrodiil is avoid for me. It’s too big, too empty, too samey. The pve is all generic fetch quest stuff, and some towns send you ridiculously far away for what they want. True fast travel is disabled (for no good lore reason) and the fast travel you do have depends on the pvp standing of your faction. I would actually put Imperial City above Cyrodiil for pvp, because the tight environment and constant npc threat makes it a much more intense, dynamic experience imo. For me, AP grinding and the Golden vendor are the only reason to visit Cyrodiil outside MYM.
I don't get the appeal of farming potion mats in the Hollow City. They're so spread out and so over-farmed that literally any other zone provides drastically better results, in my experience. I'd also argue that telvar is...amazingly profitable, in a very quick fashion, for a similar reason. The potion mat satchels are stupidly easy money. There's also gear you can buy for Telvar that sells stupidly well on PCNA. Not to say the same isn't also true for AD sets, but imperial city is, honestly, a much faster, much more profitable farm, at least on PCNA. With the side benefit of being able to do it solo, without having to engage with any of the PVP mechanics beyond running like your pants are on fire if you get around other players. On the subject of Betnikh... It has some of the densest nodes of any base game zones, which makes it one of the best, if not THE best base game zone for farming materials. I consistently get better profit, per hour, based on actual mat value farming Betnikh than I do Craiglorn. 80-100k+ per hour difference, (craiglorn floats around an average of 460kph profit, Betnikh is about 540kph profit) and that's without figuring the Aetherial dust drop i've gotten there. You're sleeping, hard, on one of the best farming zones in the game. There are some DLC zones that provide better profit per hour, (Aminos island, Telvani penisula both do markedly better) but they don't have a chance of special mat drops, like Aetherial dust or Nirncrux. If you want other things, specialty style materials, high value alternate drops? No, but if you need mats, in a hurry? It's a beast.
true, Bethnik is also botfree (xbox EU that is), I never seen a bot farming there. If Bal Foyen is crowded and I'm in the mood to farm mats, I always go Bethnik. I too had Aetherial Dust drop there ;-)
ngl when it comes to zone stories, Daggerfall Convenants are way superior, second the Aldmeri Zones & Last the Pact zones, *Note* this is coming from a EP player who played all zone stories several times
Hey Jake, im pretty new to this game and ive watched a few videos on the best methods for farming gold but i dont have alot of time to do that, i also hear that buying gold is against the rules now. I dont understand why that is, but do you know if there are any workarounds? Surely if i am spending my money on crowns it should not matter what i spend those crowns on right? Thx for the vids man 🤙
Heya - I can help clarify when it comes to trading crowns for gold that is totally fine with the devs. What isn’t allowed is buy gold from third party sites And thanks for watching!
I think galen should be low S tier since you get some really good structure furnishing plans that don't requrie special style mats AND the Firesong and house mornard motifs look awesome and sell for a decent price Even though i dont sell the motifs (mainly cuz i cant be bothered to sell anything under 50k) from what i experienced they sell decently fast and theyre not very hard to get
I choose what zones I play based on what races/cultures I find interesting in the Elder Scrolls universe. I love all the Khajiit zones (Northern + Southern Elsweyr, Reaper's March, Khenarthi's Roost) because I'm a diehard Khajiit fan. I also like Auridon and Summerset a lot. Bosmer, Argonian and Dunmer areas are really cool as well. Humans areas on the other hand don't interest me the slightest bit, I have never even been to most of the human areas in ESO because I just don't care about them.
I farmed the living piss out of the Vile Manse for the stupid mora whispers lead. Took me around 8hrs playtime, over 150 chests, endless speed running and mob killings. Must have made around 300k gold or so and tossed some exp coupons to take advantage of the lvling. Became so intimately familiar with the place I could just run it eyes closed… I absolutely hate that dungeon now…
Sorry for disagreeing about Bleakrock I think it's a good zone not for story but for how fast you can scroll thru the quests, I can have bleakrock done in about 2-2 1/2 hours as a starting toon but for beginner my daughter had it done in 6 hours so I guess your assesment is good for the average player but for someone like me it's good for fast skill points
So far Wrothgar is my least favorite zone. Then again, I farmed the one ring. If I never go back it'll be too soon. Unnecessarily difficult bosses/dungeons. Necrom is no better.
Wrotham was set up to be a harder zone, like craglorn, the bosses were originally meant to be conquered by groups of 16! I hated doing bosses there, but I like the zone, the way the courtyard changes between rocky, snowy, green, I really feel like I'm travelling
Wrothgar and craglorn were the last zones that eso was trying to have people form groups to do stuff for longest time. ZOS says they didn't do well which was why they stopped but that also caused ppl to be angry since it was originally actually more difficult content which lead to the one tamriel where everything is easy in overland. People also really liked the storyline and also it straight up tells you what to expect in next dlc which leads to the whole clockwork, morrowind, and summerset. Which I believe they are trying to recreate having multiple stuff be connected in the coming updates.
I know I'm late, but Bleakrock rock deserves a bit more, get done with the tutorial, pop an xp scroll, and go in a counter clockwise circle, and you will hit lvl 10, and be done with your first random dungeon, before Bal Foyen.
true, as an old Pact player (Blood for the pact!) I can confirm if you go counter clockwise, Bleakrock is probably the fastest starting zones to finish.
did u know stygian give u a slightly bigger weapon&spell dmg buff then vampire stage 2 passive? i always recommend people getting vampire over having stygian, its like a 59 weapon&spell dmg diffrence and there are way better sets for any build that uses invis.
My top tier zones (the zones i like more, the zones where i most farm, the zones where i just hang out and chill): 1. Vvanderfell, 2. Murkmire, 3. Blackwood, 4. Coldharbour, 5. Fargrave-Deadlands, 6. Clockwork City, 7. The whole Greymoor and Arkthzand cavern area. My bottom tier zone (my gosh, they are crappy, they are ugly, farming is awful, design went old fashioned, i barely own the house(s): 1. The Rift, 2. Wrothgar, 3. Wester Skyrim and The Reach overland, 4. Stormhaven, 5. Rivenspire, 6. Glenumbra, 7. Gold Coast [This is a shame cuz I LOVE OBLIVION GOLD COAST)
eso is showing its age even wow a game that came out in 2004 has received several graphical updates and their next expansion is going to get another one what do the eso devs do let their game die while they make another mmo. i dont see much of a future with eso its getting to old.
ESO doesn't pull the same subscription numbers as WoW and has a much smaller dev team than Blizzard. Also WoW is 10 years older than ESO and absolutely needed the graphics overhauls so it didn't looks so 2004. ESO is still holding up pretty well for being 9 years old.

I too had Aetherial Dust drop there ;-)
TOT is a good add to the game dspite what a few say.
ngl when it comes to zone stories, Daggerfall Convenants are way superior, second the Aldmeri Zones & Last the Pact zones,
*Note* this is coming from a EP player who played all zone stories several times
In terms of quest quality, yes. But replayability it's a struggle, Daggerfall really drags everything out.
yea it do be like that 🤣🤣 @@quinnmichaelson6793
riften hurt just cus of nostalgia but then i remember vc on xbox
Hey Jake, im pretty new to this game and ive watched a few videos on the best methods for farming gold but i dont have alot of time to do that, i also hear that buying gold is against the rules now. I dont understand why that is, but do you know if there are any workarounds? Surely if i am spending my money on crowns it should not matter what i spend those crowns on right? Thx for the vids man 🤙
Heya - I can help clarify when it comes to trading crowns for gold that is totally fine with the devs. What isn’t allowed is buy gold from third party sites
And thanks for watching!
I think galen should be low S tier since you get some really good structure furnishing plans that don't requrie special style mats AND the Firesong and house mornard motifs look awesome and sell for a decent price
Even though i dont sell the motifs (mainly cuz i cant be bothered to sell anything under 50k) from what i experienced they sell decently fast and theyre not very hard to get
I choose what zones I play based on what races/cultures I find interesting in the Elder Scrolls universe.
Love this list
I farmed the living piss out of the Vile Manse for the stupid mora whispers lead. Took me around 8hrs playtime, over 150 chests, endless speed running and mob killings. Must have made around 300k gold or so and tossed some exp coupons to take advantage of the lvling. Became so intimately familiar with the place I could just run it eyes closed… I absolutely hate that dungeon now…
Convert Tel Var to Hakeijo... you can get 10,000g or more per 5,000 tel var.
Summerset my most fave zone.
Wrothgar was the first time a world boss killed me in a while
What is that expensive item fron Vvanderfell?

Excellent.
Lol there are a few that like ToT but I'm not one. Won't punish you for that.
did u know stygian give u a slightly bigger weapon&spell dmg buff then vampire stage 2 passive? i always recommend people getting vampire over having stygian, its like a 59 weapon&spell dmg diffrence and there are way better sets for any build that uses invis.
The uptime is desirable to newer players and it does combine with the vampire buff too - it’s not a crazy good set by any means but it does sell
Bruh the thumbnail tilted me 💀 calling Coldharbor S tier and the Rift bad is wild 😭😭
I’m sorry 😢 it was meant to add some spice haha
@@Official_JakeClips I’m just playin my man! Awesome video, thanks for all the effort you put into your content! Great stuff!
@@Cooperharley0204 phew haha and thank you!!
Me who loves Tales of Tribute *sab gerbil tiktok meme*
My top tier zones (the zones i like more, the zones where i most farm, the zones where i just hang out and chill): 1. Vvanderfell, 2. Murkmire, 3. Blackwood, 4. Coldharbour, 5. Fargrave-Deadlands, 6. Clockwork City, 7. The whole Greymoor and Arkthzand cavern area.
My bottom tier zone (my gosh, they are crappy, they are ugly, farming is awful, design went old fashioned, i barely own the house(s): 1. The Rift, 2. Wrothgar, 3. Wester Skyrim and The Reach overland, 4. Stormhaven, 5. Rivenspire, 6. Glenumbra, 7. Gold Coast [This is a shame cuz I LOVE OBLIVION GOLD COAST)
What is the 700m item you can get in vardenfell

Urn farm for weeks.

I LOVE hews bane.
Only in ESO are we worried about spoiling the story of a 6 year old DLC. The tier rating does seem far too generous on several of these.
The rift is S-Tier just due to the absolute degeneracy of chat.
Maybe 👀
They should have added wrothgar instead of evermore to the dc zones, just a personal opinion
Whats in Vvadenfel worth that much can
There’s a stupid mushroom worth millions
if u put all zones in s tier, u would save lot of time ;-p
Jake likes high isles for ToT??!!🤬🤬
🫢🫢🫢
What item in vvardenfell is worth 700 mil 😅😅😅

@@Official_JakeClips where does it drop from ?
Cyrodiil belongs average
Cyro DEFINITELY not S-tier unless you a Pvp junkie, you can't even do PvE without getting ganked by Pvp azz hats
Bro doesn't like Khajiit.
eso is showing its age even wow a game that came out in 2004 has received several graphical updates and their next expansion is going to get another one what do the eso devs do let their game die while they make another mmo.
i dont see much of a future with eso its getting to old.
Shout out to hews bane, got me from 1 to 7 antiquities in a day and also got oakensoul ring same day.
