    I can't have fun with necromancer because I was so excited expecting, well, a minion class like classic necromancers lol. Just completely gated my chance to like it

      That’s what the Spirit Mender and the Skeletal Arcanist/Marksman are for. You’re meant to summon them when a body is on the ground for the benefits and to use their corpses for your other spells, you’re supposed to cycle through the death like an actual Necromancer. If you’re just summoning them and ignoring the corpse mechanic then you’re not going to feel like a Necro and you’ll be bored.

      @@OccultEclipse I've leveled 2 necros and one of my regular healers is a necro. What you're describing doesn't feel like a minion class. Neither does sorc for that matter.
      It's not like ESO would be the first game to implement minion heavy classes that are fun to play.

      @@swanvonmane8533 What I’m describing is a Necromancer, you raise the dead and they fight for you. That’s the entire point, that’s the class. You seem to want something that a Necromancer isn’t and was never going to be.

    Right now I'm having way too much fun with the various nature builds a warden provides. Being able to switch from a winter tank to a summer healer on the same character is beautiful and becoming fast favorite overall class. I can't wait to try DPS; I'm thinking Dark Elf raised in skyrim as a viking, with 2H/DW with lots of animal conpanion/fighter's guild abilities/crit and bleed. Stamina Netch and the bear fit for thematics. It's gonna be fun to see with the new patch.

  • @DanielECulbertson

    I'm a pretty casual player who also suffers from "alt-itus", so I was always switching to different classes and characters, but Arcanist was simple and fun enough that it got me to stick with one character long enough to get to CP 200 (my other characters haven't even reached level 50 yet!).
    That said, now that I've reached max equipment level with one character, I'm feeling the desire to choose another class and level it to 50. The problem is that I like most of the other classes almost equally (except necro; I just haven't had as much fun with that class). I'm thinking either a sorc or a nightblade for my next push to max level.
    Edit to add: Keep up the great content! I always look forward to your videos! They make me feel motivated and excited to log back into ESO! 🙂

    My mag sorc non pet build is my main. My second is a stamina arcanist. But I've always wanted back to my sorc. It's super tanky with a one bar. Max health, no need to max magic out. I have high 40k health , 5,600 k damage, and a ton of pen in pve

    I have 8 healers and my favourite is probably my sorc overhealer. I run Maligalig and SPC 5 pice sets and the monster set from Bloodroot. What makes this build so fun is the aim is to proc the buff from SPC but in because that comes from overheating it also procs the lighting damage buff from my other set damaging enemies around the healed target. Then I have my CP so it procs my monster set causing cleansing and then an aoe heal. It's a really straightforward build. I either spam my Twighlight or throw frags to overheal myself. I do also have Healing Springs and Combat prayer, orbs and alter on my bars but I find the aoe healing pulse morph of surge is pretty good aa it has a decent range and can heal people you haven't targeted. My vamp NB healer is another story but I really enjoy that character too.

      @@135Jaeger531 I'm currently running Stonetalker's as my body set with Undertaker as my weapons and jewellery and Lady Thorn monster set for thematic reasons. My restoration staff bar I run Healing springs, Energy orb, Healthy offering Sated furry (vamp skill) Phantasmal escape and Bolstering darkness ultimate. Shock staff bar I run Refreshing path, Impale, Exhilarating drain (vamp skill) Overflowing alter, Funnel health and Aggressive war horn ultimate. You could swap the Stonetalker's for something else but the Undertaker is what keeps the build together as it's another way to add lifesteal to any attack you do. The only reason I run Refreshing path is for the passive hp buff the NB gets from each shadow skill equipped but you could run Elemental blockade if you wanted in its place.
      Hope this gave you some ideas if you wanted to make a vamp NB healer.

    my favorite class was warden, I use main and did so since it launched, but the Arc has made it obsolete for me, imo every class needs a major rework to bring them upto speed with how fluid the Arc feels and its combo point system. The older classes all feel the same as one another just with different colors and ZoS needs to change them up a bit

    I only have found tanking fun. I've got 5 of the classes to Lvl 50 through tanking. My Templar and Arcanist are still about lvl 15 so I don't have a good idea on them.
    I didn't like the Dragonknight as a tank. As you said it just feels very vanilla and bare bones.
    The Necromancer was pretty cool but I just couldn't get past the sustain issues with it.
    My favorite tank is the Warden. I like the class Pull so much more than the Dragonknight chain or Silver Leash because it's ground target so I can pull targets on the other side of a group. Gripping Shards and Arctic Blast are good CC skills to help keep control.

    • @Cooperharley0204

      Warden tanking is a blast. I also see scribing bringing a lot of utility and filling in the holes that classes have to make them feel more fun from a ranking perspective.

      @@Cooperharley0204 it seems to me Scribing will improve other class tanks much more than it will improve Wardens.

    The first person animation of jabs is completely unusable. I did stop playing the Templar because of it. I picked Templar for aesthetic in first person, and the animation not only looks rediculous, BUT ITS BEEN BUGGED SINCE THEY CHANGED IT! After 1 jab, your sword just starts moving like the spear and then stops you from casting the ability at all. Now I’m on nightblade dps, and necro tank. GIVE PLARS BACK THEIR JABS!

  • @SirBanana1992

    My favorites are Dragonknights closely followed by Wardens. I'm a tank main through and through and so I was advised DK to start with and have loved them ever since. Helps I like the general look too. Wardens having a mixture of frost magic and animal companions makes it stand out from a purely thematic sense. Wardens are definitely my favorite DPSs, both stam and mag.
    least liked are probably Necros and templars. I'm mostly alright with necro tanking and templar I'm just not into the theme. I'm fine with templar healing but I ain't much of a healer.
    Sorcerers I wish I liked more because lightning is my favorite natural element but their kit doesn't inspire me strongly, the pets are nice but I wish they didn't strongly restrict bar space.
    Nightblade would prob be a solid third place, did a lot of nightblade tanking recently and brought it in some normal trials with my guild a week ago for fun. I like what I have going for it though it's not built for tough content. Right now probably my second favorite tanks and will only be even better in the next update with the change to leeching strikes/siphoning strikes.
    Arcanists are aight.

    • @atonofspiders
      @atonofspiders 5 місяців тому +1

      Sorcs are still viable without pets! Try out your lightning build; between the destruction tree and storm calling with 5-piece sets, it can get very thematic and be extremely effective. You may throw in a dark magic skill or two, but it shouldn't ruin the lightning vibe too much 😂

    • @SirBanana1992
      @SirBanana1992 5 місяців тому

      @@atonofspiders I appreciate the thought, but my problem is I wish I could be both a bit more freely lol.
      I did have gear sets I wanted to farm for the sake of just homing in on pure unrestrained lightning, I just have focused on other toons more lately (mostly for skill point farming for crafting on all my toons, both my sorcs are already fine on that end).

    Nothing beats dragon knight for me. I think purely for the leap. I miss the days of leaping into keeps and towers, reflecting meteors and whatnot but still. Leap is so much fun and especially playing in a large group it’s the best ultimate as you can use it to get right in the battle. Kill (or not) then catch up to the next batch and roll again. "theres not 1 class in the game thats fun in every role" meanwhile wardens exist 😅
    I also played WoW. And started playing warden cause it reminded me of druids or shamans. That being said, the night blade bow build is much stronger for pvp than warden bow build. (I tried the hunter thing and its not horrible but ita not meta/ S tier)
    Also to me dragonknight feels closer to retribution paladin than the templar does. Because the fosselize stun feels very similar to the ret paladin CC stun. And in the same way i would stun them with my paladin and then break a seal. I feel like the combo of using fosselize on dk and then using molten whip feels veru sinilar
