Been searching for a solution! This sounded like it for me, but sadly didn’t work. Will definitely keep that in mind for future issues. Also I hope to come back and update with my solution once I find it!
Thank you....wow, I found this video and it help....I save some dollars also. But it seems the fuse bulbs are slight different from the regular tree bulbs
When lights doesn’t work I get a scissors and remove all lights that comes with it plug cords and all and upon removing purchase strings of new lights of your choice like decorating a real tree that comes with no lights and voila, it’s a tedious task but well worth it.
It works. This tree was originally purchased from Lowe’s several years ago. We have found Lowe’s light strings 60 hz work but the sockets don’t fit so we have to pull out the bulbs and keep the original sockets. We’ve replaced about 60
Other bulbs will burn out. However, when they burn out they don’t turn off the rest of the string of lights. The white rimmed plugs are the fuse in the circuit. When that burns out the strings will go out.
I have the same story and clueless. To the point video. Thank you much. 🧑🏻
I don’t have white indicators
Thank you so much! It worked!😊
Glad it worked. These trees are expensive to replace. Bulbs are cheap!
Thanks, will try that.
Thank you for the information! Going to go try it out!
I hope it works for you!
@@Matthewwardlow, worked like a charm!
Thanks a ton . Huge help . It worked.
Thanks, glad I could save your tree!
I can’t find any with the white rim

Check the fuses in the plugs.

Yes, I noticed if you pull the white plastic from the socket that the lights will come on without a bulb.

I might have to do that haha
I have the same tree but this year none of the lights work. I even tried replacing the fuse in the outlet plug. Any suggestions?
Each series of lights have 1 bulb connector with a white rim. If they aren’t working that bulb is bad.
This tree needs its branches fluff out and With a little patience and love it will look even better
Did you ever find the right light bulb??
I haven’t, I just put in a smaller bulb (mini) in the white socket and it works.
Hi Matthew, Does this apply to colored light bulbs as well??🤔 thanks in advance ☺️❤😊
Yes
Where did u find replacement bulbs?
GE super bright. I found them at hobby lobby
@@Matthewwardlow Thank you!
Is this true for LED prelit trees also?
Yes, there will be an indicator on the base.
Will this also cause it to flash / change from white to color lights randomly??
My tree has only white lights.
We can’t figure out how to get the white sockets out

Needle nose pliers will do the trick.
Yeah we got them out. I’m happy!
So only the white ring bulbs burn out? The other ones never do? Come on
Other bulbs will burn out. However, when they burn out they don’t turn off the rest of the string of lights. The white rimmed plugs are the fuse in the circuit. When that burns out the strings will go out.
@Desiree P yes, but the white ring bulbs are a little wider so the bulb will be a little loose.
I found a faster solution. Throw the tree in the trash
Definitely a quicker way of solving the problem.
Amen!
