All those crashes and the airbags in the Charger never go off? Oh and why does the SWAT truck always have a perfectly fine front end in every close up no matter how many times it crashes into other cars?
I think they tried with the "Treadstone" TV series from 2019. It's on HULU right now. Only one season though. I thought it had some potential. But was never as good as Jason Bourne himself. And that's probably the problem. Matt Damon nailed the character.
Jeremy Renner wasn't Bourne and was never meant to be. He was Aaron Cross... God, please say something like, you know how this correlates with the books. Please!!
Paul Greengrass set up a solid foundation with The Bourne Identity. Then shaky cam stirred up the franchise with lots of mixed reviews. Stuff settled a little bit in "Jason Bourne" but still left audiences jarred, feeling like they could have been offered dramamine at the box office window. A bit of a shame, given the great start of the franchise. Giving control back to Mr. Greengrass, might help to cement things for this modern spy genre classic.
Why do they have to jerk the camera all over the place, do they think it makes the movie more exciting? 15 minute car chases are a little too much also.
What a joke HOLLYWOOD Car Chases have become... with autos being so badly built and designed to fail these days, Damon would be lucky the car he's driving survived one crash, let alone dozens! These chases are totally comic book, totally absurd and CGI-ed to death. My late friend Robert L. Relyea produced the most iconic car chase of all BULLITT... despite its misgivings, the chase looked and felt real, plus it had the King of Cool driving it most of the time. BULLITT pioneered the realistic chases of THE FRENCH CONNECTION, VANISHING POINT, RONIN etc. The split-second editing of the chases detracts from the chase and the stunts involved. The action is one big blur, and you know Damon never has to worry about killing or injuring anyone along the way...
anyone else saw snickers chocolate commercial here? I was waiting for the punch line "when you're not feeling yourself..." and then he turned into a nice little ol' lady
It seems as if the evil criminal's 8 ton Lenco SWAT truck corners and accelerates better than a 1200hp Ferrari F1 open wheel race car. Since Victor Cassel appears to be the best wheel man in the cosmos, why doesn't he give up his life of crime and become the F1 world champion instead? (worth $100 million in sponsorship deals). Being a violent criminal is so stereotypically 1990s. He'd be much happier as a famous racing driver, with a gorgeous 5'10" girlfriend, a mansion, a Lear Jet and a Bugatti Chiron.
On the one hand, you have demonstrated that this scene can be performed. Perhaps the only way it can be done. On the other hand, you did it by stealing a $45,000 Dodge Charger and driving it in such a manner that it may never be roadworthy again.
Terrible- they did not show enough of the chase’s Las Vegas location. Most of it felt like it could have been anywhere. Check out Diamonds Are Forever.
O que voce pode fazer pela União Soviética? Estou assumindo como território Alemão, tenho oficiais do Exército com o mesmo linfoma. É preciso ser rápido na produção de medicamentos, a Pifzer cuida disso, basta manter a produção. Obrigada!
Jesus...I loved the mini chase in the original but this looks so stupid. A SWAT vehicle ploughing through 10 parked cars at 40kph or so and sending them flying though the air, torn to scrap metal and fibreglass. Then being stopped by a couple of slot machines? Might as well be an addition to the Fast and Furious franchise!
@@pee-buddy Well I figured he might as well drive through the back wall. 10 kph should have been plenty of momentum for what was evidently a 200 tonne vehicle.
This chase is overdone IMO. C'mon Paul! Too close to the Hollywood formula: fill in what you lack in acting/script with lottsa crashes and blown up sxxt. Matt Damon might save this film but I'm not even sure.
The first Bourne movie was very good, but they have gone downhill since that one. This Bourne movie unfortunately looks like a typical hollywood action movie with fast cuts, lots of noise, and indecipherable mumbling. More story and less mindless action would be better.
That is about the most stupid thing I have ever seen. The complete abandonment of physics is OK in "Once Upon a Time in Mexico," but not in a Bourne movie.
I always hate these scenes. A suped up charger that can go 0-60 in 4 seconds flat with a top speed of 200+ mph getting left in the dust of an 8 ton behemoth with a top speed of 80 mph and a quarter mile time measured in minutes...No different that a Fiat keeping up with a GSXR on a straight run...
Very bad action series, people watch cause no decent action movies any more. shaky camera the whole series. Oh, Buy a dodge or swat truck and no matter what it will still be running! Very bad.
Had the pleasure of watching the filming of this scene while on a business trip to Vegas
maybe you can see the action unfold when you get there
Won't get tired of watching this over and over
One of the best if not the best chase scenes in cinema. The music, camerawork, editing and lighting are all in sync to create gripping tension.
No way, hahahahha, it was like a dodge tv commercial, it was so far away from the mini cooper scene in Paris and the Lada in Moscow.
The Moscow chase in Bourne Supremacy was better, more realistic IMHO
@@snowgmx1264 It's not funny. You can't mock anything in these movies. They're all realistic
I'm Bourne again , can't wait
"You remember the good and the bad in people" It's like giving a second chance or even five chance's.
Jason Bourne I can watch it over and over again
i Can't believe it.. Bourne is coming back? I've been waiting for a lifetime
WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT!!!! WHERE DID YOU HEAR THIS FROM? REPLY ASAP PLEASE!
This has been out for a couple of years. They're not making another one.
@@ficheye00 yes it's just go and googled
This is one hell of a dodge commercial lol 😂😂😂
It struggled to catch the slow & heavy armored van. It'd be truth in advertising at least.
@@robwoodring9437 ? These are all realistic scenes
I think that he is a fantastic actor I love all his films thank you for a party this one

Hopefully the era of shaky camera work substituting for actual cinematography is nearly over. Ugh.
And also let's bury, in an adjacent grave, nonsensical continuity errors relating to vehicle crash damage.
It's part of the experience
I was gonna say that. This franchise has become a caricature of itself.
Don’t forget 90% darkened scenes because they hire cheap lighting. And, are there any audio technicians in film anymore? Garbage.
Hey give them points for realism at least: the Dodge "muscle car" struggling to catch a slow & heavy van is spot on.
Matt Damon with his "Cuba Gooding Jr." face
And the airbags never deploy? That's concerning....
It’s a dodge. I would only ever expect an unreliable product from them.
It’s a police vehicle yes? No airbags?
All those crashes and the airbags in the Charger never go off? Oh and why does the SWAT truck always have a perfectly fine front end in every close up no matter how many times it crashes into other cars?
Cause it's a movie..
Therefore fake af, like entire Hollywood
Its not just any truck, its a truck with plot armor.
'Mass Effect'.....ahem.
One of the best films why can't they make TV shows with the brand Jason Bourne
I think they tried with the "Treadstone" TV series from 2019. It's on HULU right now. Only one season though. I thought it had some potential. But was never as good as Jason Bourne himself. And that's probably the problem. Matt Damon nailed the character.
Nice to see the real Jason Bourne again. No offense, Jeremy Renner, get well soon!
Jeremy Renner wasn't Bourne and was never meant to be. He was Aaron Cross... God, please say something like, you know how this correlates with the books. Please!!
Get some rest Jason, you look tired.
Hair's a lot greyer too.
Propmaster of this movie... "We'll need 14 Dodge Chargers and 17 SWAT trucks..."
Jason lindo, estão querendo mexer no seu orçamento, não permita. Cada um crie o seu.
Matt Damon has referred to the series as "The Bourne Redundancy"
apparently the SWAT truck is made of 3" thick "vibranium"? It can drive through anything except slot machines?
Slot machines are kryptonite to SWAT trucks, obviously.
SWAT trucks are notorious slot addicts; they just can't help themselves.
Ok, I want to know what suspension/brakes that SWAT truck has. My Runner needs an upgrade...
Must be fun on the movie set. The guy holding the camera gets to be tipsy all the time lol
That swat truck has a momentum of a train
No more shakey cameras please
Only a Casino can stop a SWAT truck!
Preview??? this film came out 7 years ago or something lol
Very odd that they immediately notice that the Charger is stolen but nobody sees the dead SWAT guy and the armored truck being stolen???? WTF.
Only one Jason Bourne.💪💪💪
exactly how I drive home from work when my wife is feeling randy
I found the dialogue difficult to pick up ?

No way this scene ever even takes place! Dodges are not that reliable.
Bourne back !! bourne back !! bourne backkkk !!! ..........
Ridiculous! ) Jason Borne thrown to the Fast and Furious Universe
That does it for me, no more Riviera
Bourne vehicle chase scenes have finally become over-the-top absurd.
What's that SWAT car made of? 😂
Great action! It could've used a bit more of indiscriminate automatic and semi-automatic gunfire.
