Handler: What is your plan for eliminating this threat? "Super" agent: I'm going to swing through the glass on a line while firing on full auto with one hand. Handler: Seems legit.
How so? Bourne is usually compared to characters like Ethan Hunt and James Bond, and the movies have been very successful and generally well received. In the world of secret agent action heroes, he is not underrated.
Not just that but ran into an open field 😂 idk why bro even took that silly lookin pipe off the rifle 😂 hunting suppressed is common in Europe not suspicious at all.
He had a rifle, yes, but it's an accurized variant of the SIG 550 that was designed for marksmanship (shooting from a rest/bipod most of the time) so it had a heavier, longer barrel, and just had more heft in general compared to the standard 550 rifles. It's front sight posts are missing as well, he would be limited to point shooting which is only really practical for close quarters and not at all ideal with a heavy, long, and cumbersome rifle.
@@Slim_Ch4rles Ain't no way on earth that swapping for a tiny pistol is better. I may not have shot this particular rifle, but the concept is beyond obvious here. Edit: Also, why would he bring an unpractical weapon in the first place?
@@Overwatch9 I agree it's poorly written for a character that's supposed to be a "black list" assassin for a US intelligence service. Solely talking about which option is better to go with, you could make an argument for either imo. The pistol has sights for one, and I think the director was conveying that he has to react/move quickly against Bourne who he knows is armed and gonna have the drop on him soon. But I agree that setup in particular was 100% a poor choice since the scope can only be attached if the front sight post is removed. Im not sure if there were other mounting/scope options available for the 550 that would allow for backup sights, but that definitely should have been a consideration.
What makes shaky cam work in the Bourne films (the first two do it the best, imho) is that the cuts are chronologically aligned with the action. They add to the kinetic frenetic of the scene and aren't "extra", as seen in the Taken franchise. It's still disorienting, which is sort of the point, but it works because it flows with the action.
I think Jason Borne and Robert McCall(Denzel incarnation) are of the highest tier when it comes to(human)hand to hand combatants in action films. Not counting The Matrix movies as they're too many variables to take under consideration.
The first fight scene was the best ever much better than the other two films. Less shaky Camera stuff. Although dropping down the stairs on the back of someone was a bit Hollywood! 😮
DC And Marvel Characters that Matt Damon should play in Live Action Green Lantern/ Hal Jordan Captain Atom/ Nathaniel Adams Orion Commander Steel/ Citizen Steel Daredevil/ Matt Murdock Captain America/ Steve Rogers Iron Fist/ Danny Rand
i didn't realise at the time but the sound the punches make are ridiculous. are those edited into this video? they sound like something out the 1960s batman 😅
I was looking for this comment because if someone else didn't say it, I was going to! I don't remember the punch sounds being so laughable. Has the sound been redubbed or something? The punch sounds take me right out of the movie!
5:00 I just noticed - the “assassin” has never fired a rifle! If he pulled the trigger with his eyeglasses tight against the scope he’s gonna drive that scope right into his eye. If the glasses lenses are plastic he gets a nice full-circle scope cut. If the scope shatters the eyeglass lense, he gets fitted for a glass eye. He’s getting killed by Bourne anyway.
Love the stock reloading sounds for the final fight 😂 Enjoyed these movies a lot but one of the biggest things i never understood was, we clearly see him reload before he does his swan song and falls with the body. He shoots stock sound dude running up the steps once. He lands on big boy and then immediately reloads. Did he only have one bullet in his magazine?
There is once a time in our lives that when coupled with good health and shape we were all capable of doing some incredibly awesome things riding a mtb is one oof mine
154 Million Dollars grossed - I wouldn´t call that a "Bad" Movie. But People that aren´t even in the Movie Business, need to Complain. The First three Bourne Movies were Masterpieces, Period. And Matrix 4 had the same Problem; after that, Reloaded and Revolutions looked good in Comparison.
Well first of all yes several times and this never gets less odd. Ok there’s grass to give some cover but someone on high ground could see movement in this. The trees high up would give better cover. Secondly stop assuming everyone else is a d”:knead.
It's rather simple and he gave the answer.....he knows Bourne is a trained assassin like him and knows how he thinks in terms of training(we all work alone like you line) so he knows he'd think like him and expose the high ground by using distractions to make him make a choice.....either give up the high ground and move and try to intercept his move because the distraction is to get closer to your position to even the field or stay there and let Bourne continue to come to him.....he chose to move
I don't recall the fight scenes having such ridiculous campy foley work. Was considering rewatching because the espionage/intrigue aspect is top notch, but the sound work is completely immersion breaking for me
Maybe the most astonishing thing in this video is how Bourne manages to take a man out with one shot while plummeting down the spiral staircase after taking a series of punches.
The headbutt pistol whip spinning elbow combo was cold AF. I wonder what kind of martial arts training gov assassin's undergo. Probably a baseline combination of arts
Hi everyone! What grade (out of 10) would you give this video?
One of my favorite movie series. We need a remake with Jimmy Kimmel as lead. Matt Damon sucks. 😅
Unless there’s the Matt Damon puppet from World Police in this segment then it’s a Zero for me

I've always loved how Jason watched the guy sail off the balcony and immediately checks his watch !! LOL

As I get older and older, watching this he looks younger and younger.

Probably one of the last serious action movies to use those fighting sound effects
90 second fights with 350 camera angles. I don’t miss this filming style.

The Bourne Conspiracy video game was my favourite back in the day.
Best action trilogy EVER.
4 movies.

Imo, the 1st one was better than any Bond movie and by far. However, the other two were not even close.

Him flying down the stairwell riding a fat dude will never not be funny 😂
That first guy he literally beat the crap out of him!

Great scenes from a great franchise! 10/10
Ah those lovely JB 1 and 2, where protagonist is still a human, and not a physycs - defying Terminator...
The 2nd dude switched rifle for a pistol in an open field? Yeah, clearly the top lvl agent, the best of the best.

Lots of stuff like that in just about every movie. But hey, his rifle had no sights on it either!

Yes, but Bourne has a better brain. 👍🏻🙂
It’s pretty straight forward. Lol The one who hits his shots wins. Doesn’t matter when the guns used were invented. You could win w a bow ffs. 😂
Nope. It's astonishing that the first guy just jumps out of a window to die. And her face after. My favorite Bourne movie
Technically, there are no heavy weapons involved.
