Picking mine up within the week! First new Mathews.
Well done video. I'm testing out the V3 and a BowTech Solutions, trying to decide which one is for me. I'm a BowTech guy, never owned a Mathews. Appreciate the video.
Awesome video. Just put down the money for the v3 today. Haven’t put together the rest of the parts yet. Shot their demo at the store today and loved it.
We really liked the V3 31, it was a great shooting bow. I think you will be happy with it for sure.
Love this bow
No Koolaid was consumed in the making of this video... lol
Only Hoyt koolaid… he doesn’t sell Mathews
I like that you guys measure mass weight out of the box.
Thanks for watching
Would love to hear your opinion on the new Xpedition lineup - you are one of the most unbiased sources out there and at least to me it appears they have some solid bows in there this year!
We will be shooting them tomorrow!!
@@MikesArchery Awesome! Xpedition too often flies under the radar.
Im not a Matthews guy, but it’s amazing how quiet they are. Cutting dB by 3 cuts noise in half when going off of a linear scale like Watts.
They are very quiet!
Yeah for sure they’re the best bow
Could u post a decibel reading of bear redemption?
Hey mike! Great videos! How
Would you compare the draw cycle in comfort mode of the solution vs the ventum and Matthew’s?
Seems they dont answer. The V3 31 is amazingly smooth
I’d love to hear your opinion on your top 5 2021 bows first to worst
We plan on doing that after we shoot the Xpedition and the new PSE EVL
Ive already bought a V3 31 Im hoping the Evl doesn't make me wish I would have waited,, it just was gonna take forever to get a lefty at my local place and I love my hometown shop so buying elsewhere isn't an option for me
@@MikesArchery Link to that rundown?
Wth, you watch one video and the guy says the cable guide is very close to fletchings, the next one says it keeps it away from the fletchings??
Not a mathews guy but you by all means don’t have to go to a shop to change out the Switch weight mods. It’s the easiest thing in the world to do. If you’re potty trained then you should be able to do this. Not sure why you are saying you have to go to your local shop.
maybe he mentioned it to have a average archery person feel comfortable, sometimes getting a new bow can be over whelming with the technology today. Plus it doesn't hurt to have a good shop helping you get started. A good shop wouldn't charge much if any for first setup.
Which has a smoother draw cycle... This or the Hoyt Ventum 33? Thanks
IMO the Hoyt!!! Surprisingly enough lol
Depends on which mod you are, #2 is harsh and the #3 is so smooth. Kinda like a bowtech on performance or comfort. The #2 mod is faster at 29” draw than the #3 mod is at 30.
Def the Hoyt. Shot them both today.
Matthews cam is rough but absolutely vibration free which is probably their strongest selling point still
Is that the 28 1/2" mod that measures 29? The 29" mod is going to measure 29 1/2.
It’s a Mathews....yup.
How’s the V3 27 ?
Hi, really good review of a great Matthews V3 bow. However, the comment on not being able to change out the draw modules your self is incorrect. I have done this easily myself very quickly and with the dealers advice. Only require an allen wrench. Thank you for a comprehensive review.
Thank you, and we understand that it can easily be done at home but the point we were getting at is you still need to buy/get extra mods if you want to change draw length, weight or let off. It’s not as simple and user friendly as some other brands. Appreciate the comment!
I have a V3 31 and don't need a mod change to change the draw weight.....?
You use the limb bolt to change the range of weight the mod provides, but to increase or decrease beyond that you just have to swap to a different mod rather than buy new limbs
Why would you need to go to a bow shop to change mods? Maybe to check tune. If you change draw length maybe need shop to retune it.
Do you have mods at your house? Cause the bow doesn’t come with them.
Why are you saying that someone has to come into a shop to swap mods. My understanding is that it’s simply a matter of removing a few screws, sliding out the old mod, and sliding in the new mod. I have a V3 on the way, so curious about the mod swap. Thanks for the info.
It is just a couple screws and is simple to do.. IF you have the other mods that you are wanting to swap. We are just saying that instead of a rotating mod like most companies are going to these days that don’t require additional modules, you would have to have your shop provide you with the additional mods for length, poundage and let off that you need.
Ok understand. From your video, it seemed like you would need the shop to actually do the mod swap, which would be a hassle. I do get that having to have the extra mods and swap the old mod out is more complicated than other makes where you can just move the mod to make the same adjustments.
Thanks again for the informative videos.
A shop will switch out your mods for free because they’ll keep your other one. If you do it yourself, you gotta pay for the new mods and then you get to keep your old ones.
The mod change is not going to be the favorite method of any shop. Especially when people are trying out bows. However it does allow people to get the maximum amount of energy out of their preferred setup. If you listen to Mark Hayes this has been a calculated move at Mathews to obtain maximum performance. Mark has admitted that this is an inconvenience for shops, yet they feel in the end it is justified.
You need to be a Mathews dealer!
I'm an Xpedition dealer, if you're looking for dead in the hand no one has them beat.
We can’t wait to shoot them!
Oh stop
Silent connect system? Am I the only one who figured how to connect a bow with line and hoist it up ? Silent connect? Does that mean I can get rid of my chain that I used to haul up my bow? Lol
Yea definitely ditch the chain! Lol
Did he say mathews has been known for its Dampers since day one? That's false because Mathews didn't have dampers in the beginning.
You have to understand that there is some performance loss on cams with rotating modules and Mathews is avoiding that with this system. It is up to you to decide what is important.
Nice. Not a fast but As quiet as flicking a booger 🤓
That’s one way to put it! Thanks for watching.
The monkey tails is a game changer remove them or apply them to all other bows . That is the game changer ...
A loss of 42 fps?!?!?! From the ibo rating? No thanks I will definitely look at something by Bowtech myself
You obviously don’t know how ibo ratings work. IBO ratings are 30 inch draw and a arrow at 5GPI. So at 70lbs he would need to shoot a 350 grain arrow. Being he’s shooting a 400 grain arrow and a 39 inch draw it’s gonna be a little slower. But I think it’s still around 10fps below it’s IBO rating. Tat bow Should be shooting that arrow around 310fps or so.
Bowtech is garbage
need to learn more about IBO and archery!
@@archer3181 Notice in the outside video that he's speed testing with the monkey tails on the string, that's more weight.
Matthews mod system is far superior to everyone else you can have 2 bows 1 left hand and 1 right hand demo 99% of the world could shoot the bow just by changing a mod try that with another bow
Mathews makes a nice rig but they are so far behind on the mod issue. Very annoying
We agree!
Think you mean ahead. The bow can fit most anyone with the change of a mod and 4 screws. Shops dont have to carry several bows of each limb weight/ draw length, can change it for each customer to test in minutes. Seems like an advantage for shops.
Yeah that guy reviewing this didn’t know what he was talking about lol.
So far behind? Lol. That bow can go from 50 to 75 lbs with a mod change. You can still back limbs out to 12lbs less than max weight, it’s the deadest and quietest bow made, oh and one of the fastest... yeah they’re so far behind... clown.
@@AA-mk4pu learn how to read. Nobody is debating their quietness or vibration. Buying and switching out mods is behind the curve from where Bowtech and Elite are. Just facts. Try not to take it so personal fanboy. Must be a hard life getting triggered by a difference of opinion huh princess?
