    The level of honesty in the review always sets this channel apart from many others. On the other hand I think the cable guard is quite a significant innovation. The improvement from v3 to vxr is IMO bigger than from vxr to vertix

      I think the angled roller sounds like it will do more than it actually does. We have set up 6 or 7 of them and they aren't any easier or harder to tune than the VXR. Trent is a really good and experienced shooter and he hasn't noticed any difference in the way it aims or in accuracy. Being left handed i haven't been able to get a good feel for it yet because all we have it right handed bows. That being said, i trust my co workers opinion.

      I agree, I also scratch my head when EVERY YEAR people expect ground breaking innovation and change, when archery is close to the peak, and almost as good as it will ever probably get....small changes are all we can and should expect....and even small improvements, are still improvements....

    Its an upgraded VXR and there is nothing wrong with that. I shoot A Hoyt Rx4 and it’s an upgraded RX3. People kind of crap on these bow companies these last 2 years for not coming out with anything revolutionary but the bow companies are doing something great and very smart. When you have a product that’s a really successful platform like the VXR or the Rx4 the smart thing to do is build on an all ready established and successful platform. The worst thing you can do is try to change things. If its awesome just try and make it more awesome. Bow companies putting out similar bows the next year is not a result in lack of innovation, it’s a testament to how good these bows are now and that they are so good that’s it’s hard to make massive improvements.

    I have a V3 31” and it seems like I have less clearance for my vanes. I run the arrow through the center of the berger button hole and nock high 1/16” and have to turn my nocks on my arrow to get it to clear the rollers. If I run my arrow under the berger hole then yes it provides more clearance than the VXR.

    What is the actual draw length on the 30” mod? Still 1/2” over? If so, deduct about 5 more FPS and actual ibo is mid to upper 320s I’m guessing. Especially if it’s set to exactly 70#.

    Hard to get lefty bows and accessories especially here in Australia, apparently statistics say less than 10%of the archery community are left handed, this goes off of sales. When a lefty walks in to buy a bow we have to just accept what is available and a lot of us will just not bother buying a crap bow just because its left-hand, in reality there are tons of leftys and we don't really get into archery much or buy much because there is just not enough available. Archery companies pull ya finger out and make more lefty gear, I know a lot of people who started left and where forced to go right because dealers convinced them to shoot right and they never achieve full potential and I know others who have always shot right hand and changed to left and are a way better shot. I get over this eye dominance bullshit just to shoot a bow that dealers tell you just so you will buy a right hand bow. I shoot a pistol holding it with my right hand and both eyes open and that is right handed but if I do the same with a bow I'm told I'm left hand, makes no sense. Make more lefty gear companies.

    Also, you didn’t mention the redesigned riser. Yes the limp pockets are different and the lower damper is smaller and the frame around it is thinner. The V3 I did see in store had the SCS already on it. Not sure if Mathews threw them on or the bow shop. Would be cool if they just gave us those with the VXR. Not worth the $60 to put them on afterwards

  • @MickyMouseLimited
    @MickyMouseLimited 3 роки тому

    I was looking for a new bow and as you said you were out of the 28 inch mode this is way I didn't buy Mathews. They have amazing looking bow with solid performance but on the end if you have to wait weeks at the time to get the module that you need and you could never test what you are buying since it is almost never available in left hand in any store it is really not worth the extra 5 or 10 feed per second . For me Mathews biggest failure as a bow manufacture is not that they use modules but the fact for over 1000 $ they only ship the bow with one module and then the potential customer has to wait and wait for the correct module and guess if it will fit or not. If you want to be top of the line manufacture with a top $ price tag add a set of modules with the bow charge extra 200 $ and finish the story. We all know that 2 small pieces of CNC machined aluminum do not cost 75 $ and don't take 4 weeks to make. This will add resale value and defiantly attract more customers. Once you are spending over 1000 $ on a bow what difference dose it make extra 200 $ for modules set for different draw lengths.

    • @InsideOutPrecision
      @InsideOutPrecision  3 роки тому +1

    I shoot 60 lbs at 30 inches. I'm concerned about this new tech that allows such a huge range of draw weight at the cam. My concern would be that they had to make sacrifices at various draw weights. For instance, did they optimize overall for a 70 lbs draw and then the 60 lbs mod takes a speed penalty (won't shoot as fast as it would with a dedicated 60 lbs cam). I don't know of anyone that wants to change weights on their bows so much.

      V3 27 is faster shot tighter groups for me. Deader in hand. More silent, little stiffer draw. 2 to 4 fps faster. I bought the V3 27

    If you calibrated the scale to the weight before, and the weight is actually 5.25 pounds...there is your discrepancy. #welcome

      He’s using the Option Sight by Option Archery. He’s made a specific video for that exact sight if you’d like to check it out.

      @@johnmckee7988 It looks to be a great sight. Compared to a Spot Hogg single pin that’ll run you $300, i’d spend the extra cash for the $455 sight with much better components anyway.

    Get a taller guy to shoot these bows so we're not always getting 28 28 and 1/2 in speeds... IBO 30-inch draw 60 lbs... I'm sure there are a lot of guys out here that over 5 foot 6 that want to see something other than these 28in draw reviews
