Jack Bruce (Cream) was guest at Rockpalast in 1980 for the first time - on the occasion of the 7th Rockpalast Night, broadcasted to millions of people all over Europe Live via Eurovision. The line-up was called Jack Bruce & Friends: nobody less than Billy Cobham (Miles Davis, Stanley Clarke) on drums, Clem Clempson (Humble Pie, Colosseum) on guitar and David Sancious (Bruce Springsteen, Santana, Eric Clapton, Sting) on keyboards and guitar. It’s fascinating to watch and listen to these four equitable and brilliant musicians in their blind perfect interplay on stage.
As Jack Bruce And Band he presented a further concert in 1983 at the Zeche in /Bochum. Again with David Sancious and this time with Bruce Gary on drums. Bruce Gary was a member of the US-New Wave Band THE KNACK and played live and in the studios amongst others for George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Stephen Stills and Dr. John.
To complete this boxset there is another extraordinary Jack Bruce solo concert from 1990 at Live Music Hall in Cologne.
The Rockpalast bequest of an unique and legendary artist! 2019 is the fifth anniversary of Jack Bruce’s death.

Bin jetzt 76 und seit 1956 Essener.
Bei diesem Rockpalast-Festival war ich live dabei, und es war einfach himmlisch, besonders Jack Bruce !
Ich war mittlerweile bei unzähligen Konzerten, weil ich auch damals in einer Rockband gespielt hatte.
Dieses herrliche Konzert von 1980 werde ich niemals vergessen !!!

Jack Bruce and Jeff Beck- two of, if not the most important people and musicians in my life both gone from this plane of existence is really brutal, but what a legacy they both left.
They played together only once I believe on Cozy Powell's record, so perfect.

I saw that tour. Jack, while I heard about him and Cream, didn't prepare for what I saw. Jack was the greatest bass player/singer I ever saw. I was blown away! I am greatfull I saw him at that time.

Didn’t know Jack Bruce could play piano so well. Love to see Billy Cobham play. I think of the Cream’s “Disraeli Gears” album which I still have on vinyl and the song “Sunshine of Your Love” every time I hear Jack Bruce’s Signature voice. 🎶💯🎶🥰

Jack was the 1st bass player to open the door to exploring the bass. a real pioneer!! I heard the Cream for the 1st time high on great pot in the 1960's. thanks Jack RIP
