Very proud to have known Pete Brown quite well in the '60's - he introduced me to Graham Bond, & invited me to the Edinburgh festival in '67 to accompany the 'First Real Poetry Band' with a 'light show', (this group included John McLaughlin, (guitar)Laurie Allen, (drums) & Malcolm Cecil (bass) (who went on to become Stevie Wonder's musical director) - with Pete on trumpet, and songs byDavy Graham! - later he introduced me to the members of Cream, at a party held by Robert Stigwood, after their Albert Hall 'Farewell' performance - Happy Days!

Hearing White Room in 1969 opened the door to fifty five + years of music. Everything began with Cream for me and I will remain eternally grateful to the band but also to the Bruce and Brown writing team that opened my ears and mind to great music and lyrics.

I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Cream in RI as a teen. Blew me away. Since then saw Jack with Jack Bruce and Friends 3 other times in RI. Always jaw dropping musicianship from Jack and everyone else. To this day I always credit his influence on my bass playing. Thank you Jack for your music and unmistakable vocals and Pete for your beautiful poetic brushstrokes which painted masterpieces…especially Theme for an Imaginary Western!

Cream was my group back in '67 and on. I had the opportunity to see them live in Vancouver, BC, Canada, and was so impressed with Jack. I love all the Bruce/Brown songs, from Cream right into Jack's solo career.

Yessss! This is a treasure for sure. The interviewer was obviously the host of this late 80's show, probably born many years after Cream's break up...unfortunately. A more experienced interviewer could have brought more finesse and respect to this. It's OK, I am a professional.

Good thing Jack & Pete took control over the interview with their humor. They saved it.

Jack Bruce and Pete Brown are connected just like John Lennon and Paul McCartney were, only difference is that Jack, Ginger and Eric are (were) far better musicians, than Paul and John.

Cream were my favourite band but disappointed how much of an ego Pete Brown had. It always rankled with Ginger, how much the lyricist made from the record sales as opposed to himself. The look Jack gives the interviewer when Brown says, "What we have achieved" says it all@ 9.mins 40 secs.

Lyrics are so important. Deep Purple could have used a poet like Pete Brown.

Paul Thompson... do your homework before you do the interview. ESPECIALLY with these two. And stop interrupting them

The interviewer did not need to sink to lennon's ("more popular than...)level with that shit. You can tell, right off, Jack and Pete were not smiling at that. They were superior to the late hypocrite , musically and in personality.
