- The best Mercedes Benz ever made in my opinion is the S65 AMG Coupe and I now own one! This car is absolutely insane and it's the full package, better yet.. the best car in the world! V12, Luxury, Sound, Tech.. it has it all
This specific one has the the bengal red interior along with carbon fiber trim throughout the car and it just looks so good, it's the perfect spec that I was looking for.

I kinda grew up with a couple of base level Mercedes, they really are awesome cars..: just not when they age lol but we had them in the family back in the early 2000s, ML 350 and C240. They were smooth and had great road manners. Lasted till 2012 and the repairs got wildly expensive.
I would love to get any of them with the M156 engine and bulletproof it lol

I promise, as long as you don't let the car take a drink. Stay away from revving it up in the flash flood water, I heard that those turbo intakes can suck it up. A hydro locked AMG is a bummer, from what I've heard... 😜

As a European I am always mega amazed about how normal it seems - in many parts of the USA at least - to just ¨drive 200 miles¨- and back.
For us, 400 miles in total is unheard of unless we are going on a holiday :)
My daily commute into Miami is 180 miles round trip
I could reach three or four different countries by driving 200 miles. Greetings from Germany
Commuting 100km a day isn't too uncommon.

Benz tech here. Just typical oil leaks, occasional cam/timing issues. But depends on the year and which eng it has. Small complaints here and there. I don’t really see many v12s. But the v8s aren’t bad. ABC suspension faults are expected as well
@@TheBaccaClench how does the muffler sound so loud in a turbo charged v12? How many resonators does it have? I test drive an older s65,07’ same sound, grumbling v12 , loved it. I have a w12 naturally aspirated Audi a8, super quiet!😢
That interior was before it’s time. That’s why it still looks so good in 2023! It came out in the S class first and then it slowly rolled out to the other models.

Also, for the screws in the front bumper, there’s a company called bumper plugs or something that makes paint matched plugs for those holes. My grandpa got them for his CTS-V and you can’t even see them from a few feet away. They make them in just about every color. Congrats again!

You’re the first person I’ve heard on UA-cam actually rev out the S65 Coupe lol. I have a 2018 S63 cabriolet and it’s a shame how little known these cars and how they are basically the perfect vehicle. Now that you have one I am excited to see the C217 platform finally get the shine it deserves 🙌🙌
2017 S63 Coupe owner here as well. First Merc I ever owned, got it during the lockdown. It feel like it is the most slept on and underrated car in the automative world. For me it is the perfect vehicle of performance, speed, comfort, luxury and even space. The trunk is huge. I can't believe ppl don't know about this car either. I'm also shocked at how well the digital dash has kept up and looks like it could have been released in 2023.
@@suk6806 Great car, unit a repair is needed. Costs a fortune if you only have it serviced by an MB dealer. Had new and Cert. pre owned MB's one owner low teen miles only. Never, had the heart to ever even consider an 4 owner one, especially without a pre-purchase inspection.
@@whereisthedollar You bring up a good point, but to be fair, that's why I bought mine pre-owned, low miles and MB Certified. Mine had be very reliable so far. Also I do have a connect with a trustworthy 3rd party mechanic. Anything I had to do so far was 1/3rd of what dealership was asking for. So to your point, ppl who do not have options in the auto world will pay more to have dealer do anything on the car.
@@suk6806 The car is an absolute monster and joy to drive. Everyday I'm mind blown a car that size moves the way this car does. Folks will never understand until you actually get to drive this car. I was one of those folks that thought all Mercs were the same. I was proved very very wrong after driving and owning this car. AMGs are different animals.

Seriously it's my dream car because is a S Class ! Just imagine you drive it listening to V12 engine sound and Ambient lighting in purple , and the view at Sea ! OMG ! It's deserved every single dollar! And I wish the good luck for every one to get his dream true 🙏

That thing is gorgeous! Wheels were definitely a risk attempt to start a trend. The drivetrain is like two 2JZs side by side, sharing the same crank! What a beast! After some slight turbo and valve train mods, a Borla exhaust, and a tune, she's breaking the 1,000 mark...💯

Wow congrats man! Been around since the fusion days, and it’s amazing how far you’ve come! From C63 to F12 to R8 to TRX and now this S65. Of course there are more vehicles, but still! Extremely excited to hear an exhaust on this car! Keep it up!
Congrats man! I owned a 2014 CL65 AMG back in the day and man I’ll tell you that thing felt like an airplane taking off. It pulled SO SO hard yet so smooth. I went with a renntech tune on mine but didn’t mod past that. I sold it fairly quickly because I was young and it was too refined for me, now in my 40s I wish I still had that car.

Nice Mike, I have a 10:32 2016 S63 AMG Black with the Bengal Red interior. One thing you should mention at some point is about the double pane windows. Obviously the car is amazing and has so many awesome features that you will be able to show on your videos. But when you’re inside with the double pane windows, it’s just amazing how you don’t hear hardly anything. Truly comfort and performance. It’s the best car I have ever on and I ever owned over 60 different cars in my lifetime. Congratulations again! Love your channel.

My merc is iridium silver. I never wanted that color but after 5 years of owership, it has grown on me so much.

Absolutely agree. The s65 in general was the last real beast and connection to the old big Mercedes from the 20’s n so on.
On a contrary i love the wheels more than anything else on the car those Maybach style wheels are nice imo
They are the proper dish style wheels that v12 benzes have been coming with since the late 1990s early 2000s w220 S class cars. Wife and I think all he needs to do is have them painted the lighter shade of AMG silver. Then it's "French chef's kiss."

I’m not an AMG guy. More of a drivers car like a BMW M….But I’ve seen and driven this car and absolutely love it. Nice car. Looking forward to seeing some cool mods on this.
I absolutely love this car I want one so bad but I'm worried about Maintenance. I've owned other AMG cars before but this is the V12.

I have a 2016 s63 coupe since new. same interior… made it to 220k miles so far. Still amazing. You will love it. It’s the most comfortable car ever.

I have the S500 coupe I bought it back in 2017 and lemme tell you you made the best choice here! 170,000km on the clock and still runs like new and it makes you feel special. I have the same interior as you do and I wish I had the V12 under the bonnet too! Haha. Congrats man

CONGRATS!!! In the video the drivers side quarter panel shows up as a prett different shade of silver than the door and rear bumper so it was probably repainted at some point. Who cares? That probably contributed to the great price and you are going to wrap it anyway, so ENJOY!!!

Those wheels actually have a very long history with Mercedes and especially AMG, so the PO wasn't entirely crazy. But if you wanted to give them away, I'd be happy to make the trip 😜
I don't know who, but someone makes an exhaust that makes these things sound like a pagani Zonda because the Zonda uses this same engine.
Edit: The suspension is hydraulic. There's literally fluid in little reservoirs that cushions your ride. God help you if it breaks, but when it works it's perfect.
Zonda used the older 6.8 to 7.2 l v12. They did not use this engine.

ABC suspension & yes it’s $$$$ to fix. This generation of ABC is fairly reliable thankfully.

I've recently made the S65 AMG a MILESTONE of mine after 2 Mercedes V8's
(E550 Coupe BiTu. 4.7L V8 & S550 5.5L V8) at 24 years old. I'm as happy for you as if it were me with my own, blessings.

3. Save money towards retirement (Roth IRA/401k)

I special ordered a S550 Coupe in Selenite Gray with gray AMG interior and 8:32 with all options. Beautiful car, amazing to drive. Loved the fact that the windows are without pillars. Most unique big MB. The interior on yours is truly awesome with the black piano wood. Know you’ll love your new baby. Enjoy!

As an owner of an Iridium Silver W221 S65 with the same engine, I definitely approve. Cold starts are amazing with this engine!
That speed bump thing was amazing, I knew that w222 had that magic suspension but I did not know it worked as well as you described, I have GL63 and now because of you I am going to try that S class as soon as possible :D

FINALLY, you got the ultimate AMG!!! Once the new exhaust gets on it, the sound is going to be epic along with tune. I’d love to see the S65 with new turbos boosting it over 1000hp along with nicer wheels, lowing module, steering wheel. I cannot wait to see what color of shell will be.
To get the best sound it wouldn’t be smart to just boost it to 1000hp. A Brabus 900 Rocket level tune would sound so much better. That’s bored from 6.0L to 6.3L and drivetrain strenghtened and it sounds incredible.

Reason for extreme pricing is because it was in an accident? Body panels do look replaced - like the driver side door and front, and the rear bumper. Nice ride nonetheless - its a beautiful car.

Even here in Germany you barely see this Car . It’s like an unicorn 🦄 mostly because of its extreme pricetag (when it came out it was about 180.000 €) but as you’ve mentioned a couple of times 😂😂 SOO SICK 👌🏽👌🏽 ah and by the way here it became a bad reputation because it was called "zuhälter Karre"!

I actually just started looking at these also. Then started considering a 2018+ S63 instead, which comes in 4matic+ and has the updated interior and tail lights. Comes out to roughly the same price as a 2016 S65. Which would you rather get?

Reading the comments below, just love the responses. I have the 2007 W221 S65 AMG RENNtech from the first owner upgrades and today currently has 79,000 miles. Great video of this lost car, but, did you know that the time Mercedes AMG built this V-12 Flagship, it was the fastest sedan in the world, and every automaker was chasing to catch up.

W221 S65 is my favorite 4 door version and the W222 S65 coupe is just plain gorgeous awesome choice and congrats it will be cool to see you make it your own.
