  • Alex Aguera showing his new style of a Foil Drive board made specifically for the Gen 2 Foil Drive. The built in Cavity allows for far less drag from the battery and housing.
Less drag means more time per session from your battery!
The weight up close to your feet seems to help with leverage from the battery. Notice Alex likes the battery backwards and in the rear position to help keep the board foiling when you get off the throttle of the controller. The battery’s weight in the back helps you to initiate back foot pressure without a huge shift in weight. When you get off the throttle with the battery is in the front, the board tends to drop more dramatically so weight shifting is a must to keep the nose up.
If you want the battery in the back, make sure you order a longer cable with your Foil Drive Unit. Alex has the 60 cm cable but you might be able to use a 25 cm cable but not shorter than that..
This board is a Full Rap Sandwich board so it is strong. It is made of Fiberglass so the signal from the controller to the unit is never impeded! Carbon boards have given us some trouble with the signal getting blocked and you must use foam inside the tracks on the carbon boards at a minimum. With the fiberglass board, you do not need to worry about the foam in the tracks.
The boards are $2200 and built like a high end windsurfer and built to last.
Get the most out of your Foil Drive and more from your battery!
