I agree too! But as a result of being ambitious, there was so many bugs with their content that did finally release. I personally LOVED SB but did come across a lot of bugs with the initial launch, we literally got one that soft locked us and it meant we needed to start our game again. ;_; But Ruin came out and afaik was flawless, I didn't come across a single bug in that - and I haven't heard that many others have so that's great. I do wish we could've had even more of this cut content implemented though. Some of course got added when Ruin released
It wasn't just deadlines (they literally had 2 and a half years which should've been plenty of time), but overambition and just overall incompetence. Most of the bugs that they didn't have time to finish they just compensated with poor design choices that created even more bugs in the process. It's honestly kinda insane to me how people still praise the game. To each their own, I guess.
I wish Steelwool had extended their deadlines because I literally believe what was in the trailers vs. what we got is so different. The gameplay in the trailer was so different. I feel like yes, Roxy, Chica and Monty would've chased Gregory but Vanny and Venessa really had a bigger role.

it's still baffling to me, that you can never see all animatronics stare at you, in the game I never saw it myself, but up until like 1 or 2 years ago, I was 100% convinced, this was a part of the game and just really hard to get. Fnaf 1 hoaxes were fun, it's kinda nostalgic, looking back on them

I would've loved to have actually had the go-karting mini game in Security Breach. I feel Roxy's decommission sequence is super rush, especially compared to Chica's. At least with Monty you do have that "mini game" of having to shoot the balls into the baskets, or w.e., that get weighed down and pull him down... Roxy has the go-kart go towards her, sure, but I just wish we were actually in control. Taking place in being either chased by her in her kart, for her to then get impatient and jump out and land in front of us (getting shattered) It's such a shame they had to cut so much. Having Vanny be more of a prevalent enemy and/or even playable would've been amazing as well. I'm so in different about her, I want to like her but there just wasn't enough in the game about her to get me super invested. She's super cute though!!! Great video, the editing is insane. Roxy has unused voice lines where she actually angrilly mentions a "3 2 1, GO!" signifying that you likely had to race her and you had to disable her kart and only when you did that would she attack you on the course, leading to her decommission.

Spring Bonnie texture looks like channel packed image you would use for materials. The way you make them is you package multiple texture maps into RGB channels of an image. So for example the red parts would determine the roughness, green metallic, and blue AO. When you view the combined image it looks like the one in the video but when you view each channel separately they look like normal BW images - the lighter the color the stronger the effect you get. It's just a way to package multiple texture maps into one image and reduce the number of images (and size of the game files). For more info, I recommend "What Is Channel Packing? | Channel Packing Series" by Get Learnt w/ Chunck
18:47 That's what texture images usually look like for games. After modeling a 3D object, you need to UV-Map it so that textures will line up properly. Think of cutting and flattening a paper model, except you have to get it to fit in a square. You can shrink/enlarge parts to increase/decrease the level of detail within a given space and some can overlap to reuse and mirror something for the sake of symmetry. Additionally, some models use more than just one texture image. To add the illusion of depth or surface volume, you might see a normal map or height map. An albedo map relates to colors whereas specular maps are black/white and determine a surface's shininess or reflectivity. There's so much more to it, but if you're curious, look up PBR and non-PBR workflows for texturing 3D models.

One of them was from fnaf 2, for some reason it felt different, it was like the demo version because there was only two nights and the puppet didn’t work, and mangle and balloon boy never moved. But the weird thing about it was that I remember was whenever toy bonnie moved, he did the same toy Chica did for some reason. His snout would be gone and he’d have a little creepy mouth part like Chica did. And I swear in the main menu it showed all three of the toy animatronics like that. I don’t personally remember seeing toy freddy move, but I still seem to remember seeing him like that too. And then the other time was a year or two later and I was heading into school and saw two older kids playing what looked like fnaf 1 on a tablet, but it’s hard to describe what it was like. The building seemed to look different and it seemed like there was a different layout, or at least different looking rooms. But the weirdest part was the animatronics. They were the fnaf one animatronics but they looked- sorta different? I got to play fnaf one for the first time like literally the same day and it was different than whatever weird version they were playing. But the animatronics looked sorta like the withered versions from fnaf 2 but before they were withered? Or like some kind of older model? Sadly I only saw a glimpse of it unlike how I got to see the weird fnaf 2 demo played a few times, so I can’t describe much about them. I remember Chica the clearest, her being the one I saw them looking at the most. And for some reason her beak was different, almost larger and wider, and her head and body looked a little different. The biggest difference was sorta their texture, I don’t know how to describe it but it was almost more realistic than normal. It had this weird fabric looking quality to it, almost like fred-bear but more-so? It was weird. Another thing was I swear I remember them looking at some camera that looked like it was in a kitchen, which makes no sense as that camera shouldn’t work in fnaf one. Now that was back in like 2015-2017. I had no idea fan-games even existed until later, and I have a feeling that weird fnaf game was some kind of fan-remake. But I have no idea how they got it on a tablet. That and in all the fnaf and fnaf fan games I’ve seen and watched people play, I haven’t been able to find those two weird versions, or hell anything even remotely similar to being a weird-looking off-brand fnaf.
The staring at camera on stage in fnaf 1 was in the game files but never used, however, there is a rather high amount of sources of people saying they encountered it on the mobile version, even after it was discovered it was unused and people were just remembering wrong; it would make sense for a Mandela effect to occur of thinking it appears in game if it does on a specific version of the mobile version (as there were two mobile ports, one from Scott himself and another from something called Clickteam), where because of how fast the animatronics are on mobile where on high difficulties Bonnie effectively dashes or teleports, it would be hard to have it trigger even if it is very rare, we'd think it'd appear in the pc version
looking at the spring bonnie texture from 18:40, it looks to be an RAOM map, standing for Roughness, ambient occlusion, and metallic. when you export textures there are typically three images that you get: the Base colour, which shows what colours you put on whichever object you made. the Normal, which is typically blue but comes out more UV looking, this map deals with parts of the texture that work with height. and the Ambient occlusion, Roughness, Metallic. this map deals with having multiple materials such as metal, wood, leather, etc.
Hi! To answer your question at 18:47, this appears to be an ARM/MR texture. Instead of having three seperate image textures for a models metalic, roughness and ambient occlusion/emmsion, many developers choose to use each color chanel of an image, to contain all these black and white textures. Typically, the Red channel is used for Metalic, the Green for Roughness, and the Blue for baked in Ambient Occlusion or Emmision values (or other stuff, generally the blue chanel is used for whatever). Judging from the fact that the majority of the texture is orange however, I would speculate that Steel Wool used the Red chanel for Roughness and the Green for metalic or A.O. Hope I answered your question!

Im pretty sure the Community is partly at fault for rushing Security Breach(for example see MatPats video how theories influence development) but damn it could have been the best title in the series given another year of development. Vanessa has a totally different personality in the final release and vanny is seen once? in the entire game! Even the end where vanessa says "You deserve a prize! Check the mainstage" is still buggy/missing. Theres nothing at the stage. Tbh RUIN could have been part of the main game as a consequence of certain things you did. I mean half the ruin contant is just cut main game stuff. I really wish we would have gotten a survival mode, Vanny meter and grittier game. Even several Multiplayer mods were in work. Instead it softlocks you after giving you a choice where to go next, when you took the wrong direction. I really hope we arent completly done with the SB universe cause Glamrock Freddy is the best and Roxxys RUIN ending just terribly sad. My honest opinion is that the trailers are the best thing about Security Breach.
I totally agree, personally I really like SB, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a buggy mess at launch, it was. Another years development, and it would have been even better!
Not to mention the entire concept in both the main game and Ruin of whether there could have been a redemption path or a good/evil option for corrupting Freddy with the parts scavenged from his friends vs some true ending option for leaving them intact. In Ruin Chica's Voicebox is even obtainable but nothing comes of returning it and it's just like it's a fragment of leftover material from a path we will never see. To my knowledge it dead ends aside from an easter egg of Monty's legs existing behind a stage but being unobtainable and various eye themed AR hallucinations around Roxy. Even the cutscene of shutting down Roxy feels like it should have been where the option to return her eyes would have made narrative sense, and better fit with her showing up to save Cassie from the Mimic soon after.
I'm pretty sure the Security Breach universe isn't done yet. I haven't played any of the FNAF games, but it's possible that the DLC's ending is setting up a sequel where Cassie finds Gregory with Freddy and Vanessa and they reveal that the mimic was Mimicking William Afton in the Burntrap ending. Not to mention they could reveal that Vanessa is William's great niece and her father is the CEO of Fazbear Entertainment. Yet that would set up the notion of those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

The .fbx render file (usually gray because it is missing its materials, aka the color mat), the models mat (a square with crammed in colors that may not make sense at first look, but it is actually mapped to it's original rendering model since the .fbx contains color map script data to line up all that color on the material ... it's very specific and won't work on other renders very well), normal maps (these determine depth and specific deals ... like a worn down pipe or exposed flesh ... the .fbx is still solid and smooth), and finally the shader (it is used to determine how light reflects off of an object ... you can see pores on a characters face from both a normal mat and how the shader reacts to the lamps light intensity).

And they should add a nightmare mode where the lights would be off when the nighttime sequence starts it would actually look cool and make the game enjoyable. In Security Breach go to video settings and crank down the brightness to zero, crank up the contrast to max, and keep the gamma in the middle. There’s your nightmare mode. Spring Bonnie texture looks like channel packed image you would use for materials. The way you make them is you package multiple texture maps into RGB channels of an image. So for example the red parts would determine the roughness, green metallic, and blue AO. When you view the combined image it looks like the one in the video but when you view each channel separately they look like normal BW images - the lighter the color the stronger the effect you get. It's just a way to package multiple texture maps into one image and reduce the number of images (and size of the game files).

18:47 That's what texture images usually look like for games. After modeling a 3D object, you need to UV-Map it so that textures will line up properly. Think of cutting and flattening a paper model, except you have to get it to fit in a square. You can shrink/enlarge parts to increase/decrease the level of detail within a given space and some can overlap to reuse and mirror something for the sake of symmetry. Additionally, some models use more than just one texture image. To add the illusion of depth or surface volume, you might see a normal map or height map. An albedo map relates to colors whereas specular maps are black/white and determine a surface's shininess or reflectivity. There's so much more to it, but if you're curious, look up PBR and non-PBR workflows for texturing 3D models.

I think the reason as to why the life counter still exists in other fnaf games while being long scrapped is that the games weren't made from scratch over and over, with many assets re-used.

@@stoxness5763free versions? Can you maybe explain some of these other versions because I personally have seen some other kids playing some weird version of fnaf when I was younger. One of them was from fnaf 2, for some reason it felt different, it was like the demo version because there was only two nights and the puppet didn’t work, and mangle and balloon boy never moved. But the weird thing about it was that I remember was whenever toy bonnie moved, he did the same toy Chica did for some reason. His snout would be gone and he’d have a little creepy mouth part like Chica did. And I swear in the main menu it showed all three of the toy animatronics like that. I don’t personally remember seeing toy freddy move, but I still seem to remember seeing him like that too.
And then the other time was a year or two later and I was heading into school and saw two older kids playing what looked like fnaf 1 on a tablet, but it’s hard to describe what it was like. The building seemed to look different and it seemed like there was a different layout, or at least different looking rooms. But the weirdest part was the animatronics. They were the fnaf one animatronics but they looked- sorta different? I got to play fnaf one for the first time like literally the same day and it was different than whatever weird version they were playing. But the animatronics looked sorta like the withered versions from fnaf 2 but before they were withered? Or like some kind of older model? Sadly I only saw a glimpse of it unlike how I got to see the weird fnaf 2 demo played a few times, so I can’t describe much about them. I remember Chica the clearest, her being the one I saw them looking at the most. And for some reason her beak was different, almost larger and wider, and her head and body looked a little different. The biggest difference was sorta their texture, I don’t know how to describe it but it was almost more realistic than normal. It had this weird fabric looking quality to it, almost like fred-bear but more-so? It was weird. Another thing was I swear I remember them looking at some camera that looked like it was in a kitchen, which makes no sense as that camera shouldn’t work in fnaf one. Now that was back in like 2015-2017. I had no idea fan-games even existed until later, and I have a feeling that weird fnaf game was some kind of fan-remake. But I have no idea how they got it on a tablet. That and in all the fnaf and fnaf fan games I’ve seen and watched people play, I haven’t been able to find those two weird versions, or hell anything even remotely similar to being a weird-looking off-brand fnaf.

The staring at camera on stage in fnaf 1 was in the game files but never used, however, there is a rather high amount of sources of people saying they encountered it on the mobile version, even after it was discovered it was unused and people were just remembering wrong; it would make sense for a Mandela effect to occur of thinking it appears in game if it does on a specific version of the mobile version (as there were two mobile ports, one from Scott himself and another from something called Clickteam), where because of how fast the animatronics are on mobile where on high difficulties Bonnie effectively dashes or teleports, it would be hard to have it trigger even if it is very rare, we'd think it'd appear in the pc version

looking at the spring bonnie texture from 18:40, it looks to be an RAOM map, standing for Roughness, ambient occlusion, and metallic. when you export textures there are typically three images that you get:
the Base colour, which shows what colours you put on whichever object you made.
the Normal, which is typically blue but comes out more UV looking, this map deals with parts of the texture that work with height.
and the Ambient occlusion, Roughness, Metallic. this map deals with having multiple materials such as metal, wood, leather, etc.
Hi! To answer your question at 18:47, this appears to be an ARM/MR texture. Instead of having three seperate image textures for a models metalic, roughness and ambient occlusion/emmsion, many developers choose to use each color chanel of an image, to contain all these black and white textures. Typically, the Red channel is used for Metalic, the Green for Roughness, and the Blue for baked in Ambient Occlusion or Emmision values (or other stuff, generally the blue chanel is used for whatever). Judging from the fact that the majority of the texture is orange however, I would speculate that Steel Wool used the Red chanel for Roughness and the Green for metalic or A.O.

Im pretty sure the Community is partly at fault for rushing Security Breach(for example see MatPats video how theories influence development) but damn it could have been the best title in the series given another year of development. Vanessa has a totally different personality in the final release and vanny is seen once? in the entire game!
Even the end where vanessa says "You deserve a prize! Check the mainstage" is still buggy/missing. Theres nothing at the stage.
Tbh RUIN could have been part of the main game as a consequence of certain things you did. I mean half the ruin contant is just cut main game stuff.
I really wish we would have gotten a survival mode, Vanny meter and grittier game. Even several Multiplayer mods were in work.
Instead it softlocks you after giving you a choice where to go next, when you took the wrong direction.
I really hope we arent completly done with the SB universe cause Glamrock Freddy is the best and Roxxys RUIN ending just terribly sad.
My honest opinion is that the trailers are the best thing about Security Breach.
I totally agree, personally I really like SB, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a buggy mess at launch, it was. Another years development, and it would have been even better!
Not to mention the entire concept in both the main game and Ruin of whether there could have been a redemption path or a good/evil option for corrupting Freddy with the parts scavenged from his friends vs some true ending option for leaving them intact.
In Ruin Chica's Voicebox is even obtainable but nothing comes of returning it and it's just like it's a fragment of leftover material from a path we will never see. To my knowledge it dead ends aside from an easter egg of Monty's legs existing behind a stage but being unobtainable and various eye themed AR hallucinations around Roxy.
Even the cutscene of shutting down Roxy feels like it should have been where the option to return her eyes would have made narrative sense, and better fit with her showing up to save Cassie from the Mimic soon after.
I'm pretty sure the Security Breach universe isn't done yet. I haven't played any of the FNAF games, but it's possible that the DLC's ending is setting up a sequel where Cassie finds Gregory with Freddy and Vanessa and they reveal that the mimic was Mimicking William Afton in the Burntrap ending. Not to mention they could reveal that Vanessa is William's great niece and her father is the CEO of Fazbear Entertainment. Yet that would set up the notion of those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

18:45 What you are looking at here is a Material for a mesh. In order for a character to exist in a video game it needs as follows...
The .fbx render file (usually gray because it is missing its materials, aka the color mat), the models mat (a square with crammed in colors that may not make sense at first look, but it is actually mapped to it's original rendering model since the .fbx contains color map script data to line up all that color on the material ... it's very specific and won't work on other renders very well), normal maps (these determine depth and specific deals ... like a worn down pipe or exposed flesh ... the .fbx is still solid and smooth), and finally the shader (it is used to determine how light reflects off of an object ... you can see pores on a characters face from both a normal mat and how the shader reacts to the lamps light intensity).

In Fnaf Vr Help Wanted there's also a full Spring Bonnie model with textures and all, it appeared first in "The Freddy Files" book doing an open arm pose (or just a T-pose) but the model was also discovered
