Love the attention to detail and the fact you two didn't give up when the arms didn't work as expected. Sometimes the convenience features of something, adjustable arms in this case, work against you. As far as I know, the mechanism behind this is 2 shallow angle crown gears pressed against each other with a bolt and spring. If you're not able to disassemble the shoulder to replace the spring, or tighten the bolt, maybe driving 2 screws into the shoulder would provide another option, albeit a less adjustable one.
I love that y'all share the mess ups and changes in plans that you have to make at times. It is so genuine and authentic. I know y'all probably curse behind the scenes but you do a great job to keep level heads when things don't turn out as expected along the way! Thanks for your fun and spooky creations. You both are so very talented and seem to work together well!
I’ve considered making a life size Springtrap (non-moving) for a while now and I think that this gave some ideas of how the parts could be made! Great work as always and thank you for the inspiration!
Tbh the reason I think his intestines are on his ankles and arms is cause the suit like compacted his body so after the process of being crushed and his body loosened up his guts kinda flew all over the place around the suit, so it’s kinda like one of those satisfying crushing videos
Painting the bones red kinda makes sense in terms of him being "trapped" by the suit. Living bones are usually pink, and the implied fleshiness works really well in terms of bring the appearance of the game model to the real world. All that said, THIS WAS AMAZING! You really pulled off a last-minute victory from the jaws of defeat! I cannot wait to see where you two go as you move into DIY animatronic designs in the future. Hopefully you can exploit your fellow Austinites to find assistance in getting the control coding for future systems working. You picked a great time to get into robotics, the power and cheapness, as well as the porting of simple programming interfaces, in modern microcontrollers has never been better. I am so excited to see how this all turns out!
Love the building process @WickedMakers Thank you for showing the trial and error parts as well. Goes to show that not everything comes easy and gives a realistic view into the creation of your great designs.
Watching you guys build this suit for Springtrap has me wanting to make my own suit for a convention one day! I love watching how cosplayers or builders like you guys make stuff like this and I've been meaning to learn how to use tools like eva foam to create props. I'm unsure which animatronic id go as but if I had to choose, I wouldn't mind Springtrap or one of the Withered animatronics from FNAF 2!
We love copyright free upbeat music playing in the background as 2 people make the rotting corpse of a child serial killer stuck in a human sized bear trap

This is my most liked comment on any video! Thank You ❤️
“Where are his bones?” Replaced. The endoskeleton replaced them when the spring locks snapped into place in the suit. Literally every part of his body was forcefully merged with the endo. What a gruesome death. Metal as fuck.

THANK YOU for leaving all of this video intact. Today I just finished decorating for Halloween outside. We ran into all kinds of problems but we persevered. Normally I would have decorated for Halloween the last week in September. However, we had all kinds of issues. Watching you struggle, pivot, struggle, pivot again shows me that even the professionals have unexpected issues. Great job on this animatronic. It looks worthy of an amusement park!
This is honestly one of the coolest Springtraps I've ever seen! You could almost imagine him coming to life from how accurate and realistic he is 😁! Every little detail shines through perfectly from the faintest stroke of a brush to the brief highlight of a piece of metal 👏 Really awesome!!!! Having a piece of the suit would really be special, especially from how high quality it is and from the love that's been put into it :) Really inspiring!!!
I’ve just found this channel but I’m definitely sticking around for more - this looks amazing!! And I just love that you showed all the bumps you had to push past and what ideas you came up with, all to not give up - it’s really inspiring!
This is hands down one of the best that I have seen. I’ve seen a lot of cosplays of this character and this really brings the character to life. Also love the fact that he is slightly on the smaller side😂. The movie has William Afton as this tall intimidating figure, but now I see him as a lean man that was just below average height and it makes me laugh especially with how intimidating his character is meant to be. 😂 love it
The way a springlock suit works is the animatronic parts are retractable, but they're held in place by springlocks, which aren't very reliable. And springs like, well, _springing,_ so it just kinda... shatters your bones and sprays blood everywhere when the animatronic parts spring back into place. William got ghost immortality juice, though, so he didn't die.
Gosh this is so cool. I've never been the craftiest person besides basic woodworking and sketching, but I've recently found myself greatly interesting in modeling and costume making. My favorite part in these types of videos is the failures and seeing how people problem-solve and improvise their methods. You're a great team, this guy came out fantastic.
I can't stop coming back to this video. It doesn't matter if I've watched it a million times, it's still as amazing as the first time I saw it. This is absolutely incredible, and I can't even describe the joy it brings me to watch it all come together. Great work, guys! Keep it up! ❤
right before the painting part he looked so fuzzy and friendly but then after he actually looked like himself it's amazing what a difference painting can make :D
You guys should do sun and moon!! That would be really cool, you could do it for your making your own animatronics, you can give it a spinning head, and like a "huggy wuggy stance"
This definitely inspired me to make my own Springtrap suit. I learned a lot of methods from this video that I'll probably use from my own. I actually made a Spring Bonnie helmet from some print files I found online with 3D printing. Maybe y'all could send me one of your arm pieces as inspiration for when it comes time to make my own? 🤔 Y'all did a killer job with this though. It's really cool to see something this creative. I hope to see more FNAF content from y'all soon! PS if y'all do happen to send me a piece I'll definitely be incorporating it into my costume and featuring it on my channel when it comes time for me to film my Springtrap video😁
What I love about your videos is that you guys do an excellent job of making these high quality conversions look doable for entry level makers. It really makes me want to scratch that creative itch and make some of my own stuff.
Me and my brother just finished about a 2 week long process of making all of the 5 fnaf character heads out of cardboard, foam, lots of hot glue, and felt for the movie. Can truly say we would not have gotten them done without the inspiration from your channel and the drive for success. Thanks so much and I cant wait to see what you guys make next!
Absolutely insane work. I've been active in the horror/music mask scene and this might have given me the push I needed to make something fnaf related on my own. Definitely wouldn't complain about a few extra arm pieces, even if I'd rather display them just for the sheer coolness factor. Great job you guys!

Well, they had to tweak his design. And the skeleton they chose resembles Springtrap's cartoony anatomy, especially the head. I have tried making Springtrap models that were human-based, or tried to fit a human model inside the Spring Bonnie suit, and let me tell you: you cannot make him look like he does in game without changing his design to fit human proportions, or changing the human proportions. To begin with he has a really long neck and really wide shoulders, the head is a mess, human heads are way smaller and thinner, and fit funnily inside the original head. His eyes are too far apart, and the eyes that meant to be Afton's are absolutely huge. And let's not forget about the size of the hands which are huge for a human, even with large hands. Scraptrap supports more of a human-compatible design (although the inner design is even worse than Springtraps).
@@Yes_im.a-lordpeacock Never heard anyone mention it, but someone whose favorite animatronic is Springtrap, and used to draw and model him, and try to make realistic models, Springtrap is an anatomical mess and nothing about his insides makes sense. That is true both for the animatronic and human parts. They are fine because it is barely visible because of the suit.
"Why are there intestines around his ackles and in places they shouldn't be" Well let me give you guys some backstory. In the lore, mainly the books, specifically Silver eyes, he mentions how springlocked felt like. "Within a split seconds, all the metal from the endo-skelaton with drive straight into you." Also, he was trapped in a storage room for over 30 Years. He was only dead for 15. So about have the time. SInce those 30 years, he says, quote, "I ripped out my organs from the suit, it was so painful, it made me want to die even more." So from this, we can say that he was pulling things out from what they where meant to be. So those organs wrapped around his Feet could've been Vital organs. When you're springlocked, the eyes from the suit push into your eyes, causing them to either explode, or pop out of their sockets in place for the animatronic's eyes. All his teeth fell out due to the springlocks jabbing his face. The point being that these springlocks covered every INCH of the suit. So therefore everything in him was gone within seconds. The bone situation. I metioned earlier how Afton was stuck in a room for over 30 Years. His bones could've also fell off. And Fazbear frights? Every single Fazbears Entertainment place was Burned down. Afton was springlocked in the Second Location.. It Was burned downed Then Reconstructed to The Third Location. Afton was also in the second location during the fire. This is what gives the suit it's burned texture.
I am not the best at creating things out of foam but this really inspired me to try to make a clay version its not finished but it might be after Christmas. Therefore, I think what you have done on this video will help persuade others into following their dream into becoming an artist and let them have the opportunity to do something like this also.
Fun fact Springtrap’s bones actually got crushed, and the endoskeleton became his bones all the bones got crushed and fell out of the suit, and then his flesh got stuck to the suit 2. The suit did not malfunction the suit actually got activated by water so in the game it shows that the water droplet touched one of the spring locks.
This is Incredible! I love how despite the fact that things went wrong, like they do, you persisted and never gave up. Motivation, persistence and patience can make you achieve great things and you should be proud of yourselves. Springtrap looks amazing!
I've never seen a springtrap costume translate into real life as accurately to Scott's models as this. Amazing work. Also the eyes in front of the eyes are little slip down mascot eyes for the spring lock animatronics when theyre in costume mode, versus animatronic mode.
Every build I get more and more impressed. This was SO well done! And again, I always love how y'all show the whole process, even the "failure" parts where you have to scrap that whole idea and start anew. It's cool to see the process from start to finish and I don't really see other channels doing that. I bet this animatronic will be VERY popular on Halloween at y'all's place! ❤
I made a SpringTrap suit back in July! And I wish I knew some of the techniques you guys used for your animatronic! If I re-create my spring trap suit, I am definitely using this as a reference!! 🔥🔥

Maybe one of these days I’ll buy a bamboo printer and make myself a costume out of one of the models, seeing you guys wear some of the pieces made it seem like they were pretty compatable for human wearing, albeit with maybe a bit of tinkering 😂

The way a springlock suit works is the animatronic parts are retractable, but they're held in place by springlocks, which aren't very reliable. And springs like, well, _springing,_ so it just kinda... shatters your bones and sprays blood everywhere when the animatronic parts spring back into place. I can't stop coming back to this video. It doesn't matter if I've watched it a million times, it's still as amazing as the first time I saw it.

FNAF Fandom: _"Oh Springtrap's design was too unrealistic how could a human skull be inside..."_
These guys: Yes.
When did they say that?
Yeah when
Well, they had to tweak his design.
@@katamas832 sí Pero viste como el tipo se puso el casco de Springtrap y le quedó a la perfección? QUÉ ACABAS DE VER?
"Why are there intestines around his ackles and in places they shouldn't be"
Well let me give you guys some backstory.
Wow man thanks I never knew about this information 😮
You're welcome.@@CollinSmith-dt5zp

Fun fact Springtrap’s bones actually got crushed, and the endoskeleton became his bones all the bones got crushed and fell out of the suit, and then his flesh got stuck to the suit 2. The suit did not malfunction the suit actually got activated by water so in the game it shows that the water droplet touched one of the spring locks.
That's pretty horrifying.
