"As a new owner of Kia Telluride i can say that it is a fantastic car indeed!" That's the problem; there are not many old owners of Kia and Hyundai around.

T L biased list? Based purely on price, resale value and performance. Sorry 250lbft is not good enough for a family hauler. Figure you’ll add 1200lbs+ with passengers and stuff. And a trailer? Good luck going ANYWHERE.
T L Large Kias have a horrible resale value! Worst in the USA for non luxury vehicles In fact (cadenza and k900) Also long term reliability absolutely the ford Toyota and Honda are far better than the Kia. The Dodge is debatable. But the MASSIVE performance of the dodge makes me look at it more. It’s got 360hp and 390lbft! Vs kias what 270hp 250lbft?’ Same reason ford is up there. 300hp 310lbft! (And that’s the base engine!)
Woo #1 Winner Telluride!! I've really been waiting for a good comparison video, but jumped the gun (and glad I did!) last week and bought the Telluride here in Canada. I've had it 4 days now and super impressed!!! Drives just as good as my husbands Mercedes!
Good god! Thats BS your talking. Europian cars dont last as long as their asian counterparts. Just keep feeding your ego with paying expensive maintenance cost. Its better cos your paying more lol!

The Telluride is awesome. I’ve owned a Hyundai car in the past, and a few people in my family have Kia cars and they are both great. I recently bought a Subaru, however, and could never go back. The all wheel drive system on Subaru is completely unmatched by any other in snowy weather.
Best review one can ever find on UA-cam... His English is just precise.. Like newsp report.. 34 Mins I have been listening to him.. Never got annoyed.. Clear pronunciation.. Not too fast not too slow... Amazing job bro.. Kudos.. Appreciate your hard work...
A couple of problems with this review..... 1) The Atlas has 5 trim levels where the Telluride has 4. You compared the 2nd highest trim level of a Telluride with the mid level Atlas. Trim for trim, the Atlas has 99% of the same features as the Telluride with the exception of cooled rear seats 2) you don’t have to go up to the highest trim level to get the digital cockpit in the Atlas, you can simply go up to the 2nd highest being the SEL. The SEL Premium is the highest. 3) “Lane keep assist” isn’t standard on Atlas’ 4) The R-Line package as well as the SE w/ Tech package are not new for 2019, they have been available since 2018, albeit slightly more difficult to find. If you want to save even more money on an Atlas, pick it up in the 2.0 4 cylinder turbo engine. It’s not as “sluggish” as the VR6 engine, gets better gas mileage, and is $2000 cheaper.
Yeah...also the dude said that the VW is disappointing because the 3rd row isnt 3 seats...but... the 2nd row is 3 seats. Arent they all 7 seaters??! I dont get AT ALL how the telluride and subaru have just 2 seats in the 2nd row. Why is that a thing?? If you actually need the full boot you have a 4 seater car. Thats a big big restriction. And if you have 5 people riding, 1 of them is forced in the back where if you are taller than 170cm/ 5'7 its pretty goddamn painfully cramped to sit in the 3rd row. And its not like more comfortable you just get useless arm rests. Why are americans fixated on arm rests?? Oh... My bad. I just realized that the cars are like that because americans are huge and barely a kid would fit between the 2 seats...but at the same time they put a 3rd row with 3 seats that small? Btw its also the first time ever ive seen a reviewer talking about the sound the door makes when its closed? Is that really something americans care about?? Sure my Peugeot 5008's doors i just bought feel just like the bmw m6, mercedes class S, bmw x5, porshe 911 my dad had, but...i saw that when i test drove it and it was literally the last thing to come to my mind. Either way the kia looks really good but the VW is the better car by far. Its so weird how some car manufacturers just upped their game so mich in the last 5 to 10 years, so much so that they compete with much more expensive "classic good" cars, like bmw, mercedes, lexus, range rover etc... I mean i bought a Peugeot 5008 gt line instead of a BMW X3. Paid 15k $ less while the Peugeot has just 15 less hp, its bigger, has more space, the inside is prettier, the x3 didnt even have android auto, it has adaptive cruise control and lane centering just like the x3 (its the lvl2 automated driving like the tesla). For 15k $ less i got basically the same car but bigger, except it doesnt have a bmw badge. Same goes for a KIA sorrento or a hyundai santa fe. Who would have thought korean lame cars would become so good. Or even Peugeot used to make lame low cost meh cars, mostly minivans and hatchbacks. And then they come out with a suv 3000 line with premium insides and they look AMAZING. Same goes for old man cars like volvo and their XC line, beautiful cars especially the XC40. And VW comes out with a freaking luxury car with the touareg, which competes with freaking bmw X6/X7 and audi Q8. Mindblown.
@@beyondtherhetoric good but the point still stands. The dude is complaining about the seats when they are standard in the entire world because otherwise the car is just 4 seats and they arent even more comfortable because you have arm rests on the doors and you can lower down a compartment in the middle seat to get arm rests with cupholders on....basically every single car ever made since the 90s at least.
Nope, no problems on cvt on the ascent. Check the fourms, at least subaru has reliable and proper engines unlike kia whos engines explode and cause deaths and injuries.....
I’m not saying the cvt has problems. The cvt does help with fuel economy on the AWD standard Subaru. But imo, pairing a turbo and cvt is not my cup of tea. Lag off the line and the engine wailing and buzzing at 6K RPM from the cvt. The same thing I notice in the Altima now. I prefered the V6 and cvt combo. For some reason, the only exception is the Honda Accord 1.5T
@@naveenthemachine ummm no, Nissan is obviously known for terrible cvts but Subaru? No, they are known for there reliability. According to consumer reports. Also, it has 5 star crash test ratings on iihs.
We just bought the Telluride Night Fall Edition! The car is truly amazing! Love the tech and safety features! It’s got a high end classy interior! Threw it in sport mode and it takes off like a sports sedan! Love it! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
The Palisade is smaller inside. Curious how the transmission will be compared to the Telluride. Layout is not bad but overall better materials and infotainment in KIA. The loss of space inside is due to the style of it. Also not a fan of the pug esk face they did in person
Palisade is selling so well that Hyundai underestimated the demand by 50%. This larger end of the SUV is selling well over 5,000 units per month for the past 5+ months. For me, I prefer the Palisade over the Telluride, so I am looking forward to how Palisade would perform in the US. BTW, the Ulsan plant is now producing the US export version, which will accumulate large enough volume for the next three months. Expect to see this in the US market starting from August.
A word of advice. I absolutely love the super detailed notes on each vehicle, but I would have loved to have seen stats up on the screen when talking about length to compare to the other models, similar to what you did for the engines. I know it's a small thing, but it would bring the quality up THAT much more! Thanks for a great video!!
I'm not even a car person but I love the reviewer. He actually kept me interested through the whole video. Thanks UA-cam for putting this in my recommendations. Now time to go through the rest of the channel 😂😂😂
Not sure how you can make a level comparison on driving/acceleration/handling using the FWD Atlas compared to AWD on the other two, especially considering that you have to try pretty hard to even find a FWD/V6 Atlas package because dealers known everyone wants the AWD model.
This guy is not a Vdub fan at all. Its truly an unfair comparison. In this video he show the competitors with the upscale models, and shows us the mid to low end on the VW. Non sense. He does a similar review comparing the golf Alltrack wagon to SUVs, He clearly doesn't know how to do his job.
Kia knocked it out of the park this time with the Telluride. A fully loaded Toyota Rav4, yes a Rav4, is 40 grand. And a fully loaded Telluride, a bigger, more powerful, MUCH MUCH more luxurious 3 row crossover, can be had for just 6 grand more. Good job Kia.
@Mentally Challenged Viking ok what car do you talk about then. Viking car? I drive 2 bimmers, a Volkswagen, and a Toyota. No kia on my driveway. But that doesnt stop me from seeing a good product when it's out there.
Hamer Player I dont know how reliable the Rav4 is but one thing I sure about it is that I would never buy a other honda, especially CRV. I had accord coupe, odyssey mini van and two CRVs. And mini can and two crv has transmission problems and I traded in mini van and fixed one crv at transmission shop($3300) and the other one Im wondering what to do with it. Bad experience and for me say goodbye with honda. I don’t care if they improved now. Must have something else will go wrong.
Nice review. I am due for a new car. I have 3 Subarus and love these cars. The Teluride got my attention when I saw it at first. However, following your review I am not going to go away from Subaru. Thanks.
I work for Subie and can say that the Ascent is very clean and handsome in person, especially in profile. It's a well-done vehicle. The Touring trim adds saddle brown leather and woodgrain trim to the interior, as well as forward facing cameras and a rear-view camera mirror. That would've been a better comparison to the top spec Kia. The little 2.4 turbo in it is an overachiever....smooth, punchy and refined. It really moves once it's on boost. Customers say "it has a 4cylinder?!" but test drives quell their concerns. It's also selling very well. (One pricing note - the Ascent Touring stickers for $44k, but Subaru adds a lot of accessories to almost all of them, so it's hard to find one for less than $46k - crossbars, auto-dimming side mirrors, LED interior light "upgrade", all-weather floor protection, etc.). Having said that, Kia knocked it out of the park with the Telluride. I'm a single man, just turned 30, have no need for any of these vehicles, and yet I still WANT a Telluride (specifically in that color combination) because it looks so cool. The Volkswagen does nothing for me. It looks okay on the outside but the interior looks cheap.
Yeah. We drove everything on the market with a 3rd row. The Ascent won walking away if you're in it for a family vehicle and not as glorified trail wagon. I have a built Tacoma. Not trying to make the family ride into a bad version of an ORV. Creature comforts and the ability to modify every single damned option via the infotainment system was the difference. Well, that and resale value. We'll see what all these Telluride honks are saying when they go to trade em in, lol.
@@bfee20021 Acceleration is acceptable for big SUV. Even with the turbo 4cyl, it's geared low so it can tow and that makes it pretty torquey on the low end. Turning radius blows away the turning radius of the Accord we traded in on it. Very easy to park. Getting 18 mpg across the board, mostly city driving. Got the LED lighting upgrade, makes a huge difference in interior. So much so, I swapped out all the interior lights on my truck for LEDs.
Thank you for the great review. We ruled out Ascent right away for CVT. We test drove the remaining two. First was the Atlas, then Telluride. It was close but went with a 2021 Atlas 2WD in racing green and captain chairs. My wife loves it!
This could have been my comment! XD ... I discarded the ascent the minute I learned they had a CVT, we got twin vehicles, same trim and color! Very happy 🙂
Have you ever used a glove box lined in felt? They suck. All your stuff gets covered in black lint and it makes t hard to find stuff because it’s kinda sticky if you know what I mean
In my opinion: VW Atlas for handsome exterior looks, with many tech options trickled down from Audi Subaru Ascent for no a frills, reliable, vehicle that will never let you down Kia Telluride for best overall package, and best interior (of these 3)
I agree, that would really put the Telluride in a class of its own, unfortunately I don't think Hyundai/Kia plan to put the 3.3T V6 in anything FWD-based for the forseeable future.
I think the suspension will not handle this gigantic body with v6+turbo. But I like this idea! Hope some enthusiasts will make this swap project come true
I’ve been watching your reviews for years now. Hands down, you give the best, most comprehensive (in terms of what the typical consumer needs to know) reviews ever. Thank you thank you thank you!
So glad I waited for the Telluride and didn't buy the Atlas, bad news is they sell the first week at the dealership. I tried to buy one last weekend but could not find a SX trim one anywhere near me in Georgia.
I had to drive a long way just to test drive one. None of the local lots had any. That dealer said they're only rolling 80 off the factory floor each month. Nobody would even take an order for an SX with the prestige package. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
They picked one of the lower level trims. The SEL is the sweet spot as it brings all the driver assistance minus 360 camera, power front seats, heated steering wheel, navigation
Totally undersold the Atlas by using an SE model. If you look at the trim comparison between the Atlas and the Telluride, every Atlas looks great which you can’t say for the Telluride. The LX trim is fugly. Also VW has some of the best rebates and dealer incentives compared to 0 from Kia.
You picked the premium trim on all but the Atlas. Go get an SEL Premium w/ captains chairs and compare. Much higher end interior feel then an SE R line.
The Ascent looks bland , the Atlas is well......a Volkswagen (Nuff said) , the Telluride reminds me of the Tahoe's from the early 2000s design wise , which probably explains why I like it a lot.
Absolutely great review! I really love these side by side reviews. They offer the best way to directly compare competing vehicles. I'm sure it's much harder to organize these types of reviews, but the results are worth it. Thank you so much for this valuable review!
you're wrong about the VW atlas, here in the UAE i drove the highest trim and the dashboard had a big screen and the other screen with the navigation so how can you say the VW atlas isn't "fancy" looking.
Family has three Acents. Great vehicle. Not everything needs to be digital or touchscreen. Sometimes it’s nice to have a utilitarian feel buttons and knobs go along way.
Just bought my wife the Ascent Limited. Considered the Telluride and Atlas. I was dissapointed with VW (whom I have long been a fan of) with a recent vehicle, and my wife thought the Telluride was ugly (I like the style personally, and the 2 Hyundais that I have owned never gave me a single issue, but this is her car, not mine). This is our 3rd Subaru, and the reason that we keep going back is definitely not the looks, its the AWD system. Here in the Pacific Northwest, Suby's eat up the snow. I was worried about a turbo flat 4 mated to a CVT in a three row SUV, but I got to test drive it, and was shocked how much torque that powerplant puts down. The interior may not be as plush as the Kia, but it is the most upscale vehicle that we have ever owned. The 14 speaker Harmon Kardon stereo is really nice too. It may not win any beauty pageants, but it is a great car for us. And my wife has the same confidence in the snow as Outback, but can fit our three kids with hockey gear now much easier. Now for the important discussion. When the hell are any of these brands going to bring back manual transmissions to vehicles larger than an econobox sedan!?
The Telluride is an awesome Vehicle with all the features it has for a great price and so much room awesome job done on the Review Definitely looking at the Telluride SX that would definitely be the trim for me
I departed from the minivan crowd several years after purchasing the Nissan Quest in 2005. I moved into the smaller CUV and picked up the 2011 KIA Sportage which I have to this day. Not the best to offer, but it was functional and had a nice look. I definitely needed to move into something larger and the mid-size SUV was on my radar for the last few years. Enter the KIA Telluride which I first saw at the Detroit Auto Show and OMG! It was hands down the sexiest mid SUV I’ve seen. I was hooked and my search went no further. Well, it was nothing short of impossible to get your hands on one here in Northern CA in 2019. When 2020 hit I was on the hunt, and the model trim I wanted in the color I wanted landed and I was notified. Let me tell you the luxury, the feel, the options are amazing!! I wanted to wait for the SX with Prestige package, but that may have never happened in 2020 as rare as it is to get a hold of one. I am not disappointed with jumping in on this fully loaded SX! To be able to obtain such a luxurious hi-tech feature packed SUV for $52,000 is mind blowing. I even picked up from a dealer that offered me the only 20yr/200,000mi warranty in California. KIA hit this one out of the park!!!
Doug Demuro: Boring handling unremarkable, but it's not the point with this car Sofyan Bey: You will really enjoy this thing on your favourite backroad!
Did you get the SX trim with prestige package. Where I live it's so hard to find the Telluride period because they are selling. Kia did a fantastic job with the Telluride I plan on buying the SX prestige package. I want the black copper one.
I did test drive the Atlas and a Toyota Highlander earlier this year. Recently test drove a 2020 Telluride LX. Oh man what a difference. Luxury feel, and very, very quiet, ride was smooth and drove like a really high end luxury car. Also wanted to correct you about the availability of 2nd row captain’s chairs, they are standard on the S and SX models. Also you never mentioned anything about the amber ring around the headlights. This color only comes on the top trim SX MODEL. ALL THE OTHERS, the LX , S AND EX models have clear lights around the headlights. I don’t like the amber ones. Wish they had not done the amber ones. My preference. Can’t wait til the Palisade comes out to compare it to the Telluride. Will definitely be buying one or the other depending on pricing, ride, and features. The only thing I wasn’t impressed with on the Telluride is that you have to move up to one of the top two trim levels to get an electronic tail gate opener! What?
I agree with your preference on the "clear" vs "amber ring." Not a deal breaker, but it would help me to settle for the next trim level down due to that color clash.
Probly one of the best reviewers out there! On point, no wasted words, very impressive job. Really enjoyed your review and so did my wife. Keep up the solid reviews my man.
My one & only quam on the Telluride is, it doesn't have dual exhaust exits to balance the look. Most upper-end vehicles do. One sided exhaust doesn't do this vehicle justice.
I’ve driven all three also. At first I liked the VW (for the room) but then I drove the Subaru & it was a far better driving experience. I then drove the Kia, and although it looks more upscale on the inside, & also has a coolness factor in the looks department. for me; the long cross country trips would be better experienced in the Subaru. Also, & most importantly for my family, the IIHS safety rating. Good review!
Definitely not comparing similar equipped models. He also has been pretty honest about his bias towards the Kia. Doesn’t matter if they catch on fire for no reason.
I had the forester and with a growing family, upgraded to the ascent touring. I think I love it more than my wife does! Drove it down to CA from WA and back. Was doing 80mph and impressed at how fuel efficient it was even at 80! Super fun to drive, with the turbo! Have yet to test it in winter conditions but I already know it’ll beat most suvs in its class. You should really take it for ride.
We got the VW sel with the golden oak seats and panoramic sun roof. But the Fender sound system is AMAZING! I believe it is a 9 speaker with subwoofer. So sweet.
The Subaru is the best buy here. Will retain it's value the most. Also Consumer Reports No.1 mid-sized SUV for 2019. Followed by the Kia. The VW is not expected to retain value or have high reliability.
Palisade is smaller inside, not as good of materials and infotainment. Curious how transmission will feel compared to the Telluride. The front in person isn't attractive and kind of pug like
@@PHaddaway the instrument cluster can be all digital on palisade, not Telluride. The infotainment system should be very slifhtely better as thry will have more time to improve it (Telluride already released). I'm sure they share a lot of components, I expect some of those internal compone ts to be slifhtely improved due to learning by production error.
The impression I get from video's I've watched is the Palisade has a fancier looking interior, but not as functional. Slightly less cargo room to. I just got the impression that the Telluride was easier to use with more cargo room. While the seats and interior of the Palisade looked fancier.
These are the three best vehicles in their class! This is the comparison everyone should be doing I can’t believe he is the first want to put these three together!
One small correction my man. The R-Line came out for the 2018 model year as the SE w/tech and then in late 2018, was available in the SEL model as well. The only big change between the 2018-2019 models was the Pano roof option from factory on the se and se w/tech.
Every publication I have read show the Ascent has 86.5 cubic feet of cargo volume, not 77. So there is a mere half cubic foot of difference between the Ascent and the Telluride.
I recently went to a Kia dealership to see a Telluride, there are no deals on this ride because the demand is so high. Expect to pay a huge price above sticker in Los Angeles. If you can, wait 6-12 months and see if the situation changes. I would say it does not look as big in person because you imagine an Escalade watching it on video, it’s just right for a long road trip.
I just got a Telluride EX last week and being 6'1" I was sold when I could fit in all three rows comfortably with them all being setup for my height. Very smooth ride and good power delivery, and you can feel the heated and cooled seats instantly. The next generation of the Telluride will be very interesting. 😎
Dude you're a pro. Seriously so many UA-cam reviewers have odd quirks in their personalities that make it hard to watch. Matt M appeals to kids, Doug m to kids and you to actual paying customers. Remind me of a modern John Davis. I wouldn't be surprised to see you appeal to people actually buying these cars instead of kids. Others go for view count where as an ad placed on your channel would have a real impact. You're a badass 💪!
I have a question. Who supplied the 3 SUVs. It seems that your comparison SUVs are the same exact as others have shown. My bet that this was provided by Kia and in my opinion this should have been mentioned. If you all need to compare the 3 you need to compare the same packages. Your 3rd row seat VW comments falls contrary to others who are even taller than you. Please do say who sponsored the availability of the 3.
I want to know one thing honestly - which engine is the best and will run perfectly after 500k or 600k km? Volkswagen Or Hyundai Palisade? Which V6 engine is the best and reliable? I want to know only about best reliable engine so please tell me about it honestly

It doesn't matter. Honda's. Toyota's, Subaru's that are built in the US are as reliable as the one's that are built in Japan.
Out of these 3 , definitely the Telluride for me. 👍👍👍

T L I don’t get it
T L biased list?
Based purely on price, resale value and performance.
Sorry 250lbft is not good enough for a family hauler.
Figure you’ll add 1200lbs+ with passengers and stuff. And a trailer? Good luck going ANYWHERE.
T L Large Kias have a horrible resale value! Worst in the USA for non luxury vehicles In fact (cadenza and k900)
Also long term reliability absolutely the ford Toyota and Honda are far better than the Kia. The Dodge is debatable. But the MASSIVE performance of the dodge makes me look at it more. It’s got 360hp and 390lbft! Vs kias what 270hp 250lbft?’
Same reason ford is up there. 300hp 310lbft! (And that’s the base engine!)
Just drove the 2019 Highlander and 2019 Honda Passport and then the 2020 Kia Telluride and I am buying the Telluride. What an awesome vehicle.
Did you drive the Mazda CX-9? Probably not because no one looks at Mazda seriously.
Woo #1 Winner Telluride!! I've really been waiting for a good comparison video, but jumped the gun (and glad I did!) last week and bought the Telluride here in Canada. I've had it 4 days now and super impressed!!! Drives just as good as my husbands Mercedes!
It’s no comparison to real European imports, you have no knowledge at all, it’s a KIA !
Terrible impersonator , cheap
Good god! Thats BS your talking. Europian cars dont last as long as their asian counterparts. Just keep feeding your ego with paying expensive maintenance cost. Its better cos your paying more lol!
gord O How is it not comparable to European imports when it’s literally designed by BMW’s ex president at their M division, who designed the 2012 - 2017 Bmw M4, M5, M6, X5m and x6m? You’re literally a fucking Neanderthal when it comes to knowledge on vehicles in general. You drive a Ford Focus bud settle down
Just bought a 2023 Atlas SE w technology! Love it, so comfy
Does that have 360 camera?
The Telluride is awesome. I’ve owned a Hyundai car in the past, and a few people in my family have Kia cars and they are both great. I recently bought a Subaru, however, and could never go back. The all wheel drive system on Subaru is completely unmatched by any other in snowy weather.
So sad people buy cars based on the looks more than utility otherwise Subarus would sell very well

Only 2 minutes into video and I must post how great that Kia looks. Amazing. No contest

@@dushyantx Actually, it's only for North America. The Telluride is not for sale in either Europe or Asia.
A couple of problems with this review.....
1) The Atlas has 5 trim levels where the Telluride has 4. You compared the 2nd highest trim level of a Telluride with the mid level Atlas. Trim for trim, the Atlas has 99% of the same features as the Telluride with the exception of cooled rear seats
2) you don’t have to go up to the highest trim level to get the digital cockpit in the Atlas, you can simply go up to the 2nd highest being the SEL. The SEL Premium is the highest.
3) “Lane keep assist” isn’t standard on Atlas’
4) The R-Line package as well as the SE w/ Tech package are not new for 2019, they have been available since 2018, albeit slightly more difficult to find.
Mindblown.
@@kato093 The Ascent is available with 2nd row bench or 2nd row captain's chairs.
The vr6 might seem sluggish, but that engine has also been around for decades and is known to get 300k plus miles
Easy decision: Kia Telluride.
The ascent has that droning CVT, and the VW’s reliability is a bit worrisome.
Nope, no problems on cvt on the ascent. Check the fourms, at least subaru has reliable and proper engines unlike kia whos engines explode and cause deaths and injuries.....
Easier decision, none

My wife and I drove every three row SUV/Crossover on the market. We wound up with an Atlas SEL Premium and love it!

Definitely can’t wait to see a comparison of the Palisade vs Telluride
The Palisade is smaller inside. Curious how the transmission will be compared to the Telluride. Layout is not bad but overall better materials and infotainment in KIA. The loss of space inside is due to the style of it. Also not a fan of the pug esk face they did in person
Phillip Haddaway honestly agree with you. Palisade def had the shorter end of the stick with these two
Gosh I love both cars but as a personal opinion I kinda like the Telluride more
Palisade is selling so well that Hyundai underestimated the demand by 50%.
Hyundai is Kia's sister company
A word of advice. I absolutely love the super detailed notes on each vehicle, but I would have loved to have seen stats up on the screen when talking about length to compare to the other models, similar to what you did for the engines. I know it's a small thing, but it would bring the quality up THAT much more! Thanks for a great video!!
I'm not even a car person but I love the reviewer. He actually kept me interested through the whole video.
Thanks UA-cam for putting this in my recommendations. Now time to go through the rest of the channel 😂😂😂
Kia is really on a roll the Stinger is Gorgeous the Soul is cool and telluride looks rugged and handsome .
Telluride! KIA hit it out the park with this one. Three across in the third row seems just a bit optimistic to me.
No more so than for other midsize 3 row crossovers.
The telluride exterior is really disappointing in person. I almost laughed when he said you might mistake it for a more expensive car.

@Wapfy $34,700 Santa Fe Ultimate AWD with lots of accessories. Yes it's a bargain and an amazing vehicle. No comparison to a Rav or CRV
@Mentally Challenged Viking ok what car do you talk about then. Viking car? I drive 2 bimmers, a Volkswagen, and a Toyota. No kia on my driveway. But that doesnt stop me from seeing a good product when it's out there.
@Mentally Challenged Viking I was born and raised here you dummy. Learn how to read you inbred.
Jae Lim same thing happened to me but I have a Nissan Rouge
@@jmakc3541 How's the acceleration in the Subaru? Gas mileage as advertised? Any mood lighting? Thanks.

Best Atlas
Kia bad company
That KIA is sexxxyyy. The glove box is damped and lined with felt..😎
😂😂 Yes. That glove box is top notch
Have you ever used a glove box lined in felt? They suck. All your stuff gets covered in black lint and it makes t hard to find stuff because it’s kinda sticky if you know what I mean
@@chocolatewheelchair Then clean your car more often

In my opinion:
VW Atlas for handsome exterior looks, with many tech options trickled down from Audi
Subaru Ascent for no a frills, reliable, vehicle that will never let you down
Kia Telluride for best overall package, and best interior (of these 3)
I agree with Sofyan. The Kia telluride is beautiful inside and out.
If Kia puts the twin turbo V6 in the Telluride it's game over.
dave smith I think they’re saving that for the genesis SUVs
@@SavagexRaccoon that'd be correct, at least I hope

Telluride for me 😍 i really liked the VW too it’s just bad that they didn’t test it in a higher configuration
They picked one of the lower level trims. The SEL is the sweet spot as it brings all the driver assistance minus 360 camera, power front seats, heated steering wheel, navigation
It’s not fair that they didn’t give you the SEL Premium Atlas...
Very true
I guess way too expensive
True!!!! I feel like he was low key selling the kia. The VW leg room is way more than what he was saying.
The comparison was to bring 3 comparable vehicles at or near the same price point, $45,000. Makes you appreciate what KIA offers for the cost!
The VW offers the virtual cockpit on the SEL trim and higher also the 8AT isn’t a VW design it’s an Aisin unit
The Kia Telluride trim/exterior styling/interior quality looks nicer than GMC Denali's
J M V sport never liked the early 2000s Tahoe design lol. The Escalade was handsome though. The 2008 ish tahoe and Yukon was much better looking

Seems you didn't compare the correct VW trim to the Telluride.
Agreed, should have been a SEL Premium for a more even comparison.

The KIA has the best rear view, over the ATLAS.
you're wrong about the VW atlas, here in the UAE i drove the highest trim and the dashboard had a big screen and the other screen with the navigation so how can you say the VW atlas isn't "fancy" looking.

watching this while waiting for my wife in my Telluride S model.. :D definitely made me sleep better knowing that it was a worth it purchase!
Did you pay any premiums on top of msrp?

What?
at 3:28 he mentions them stating that the LED headlamps and amber DRL are only available on the top SX trim level.
I agree with your preference on the "clear" vs "amber ring." Not a deal breaker, but it would help me to settle for the next trim level down due to that color clash.

The space in the Telluride is the only reason i will choose this over highlander. besides the back seats are also a little higher and not flat
By the way...your buddies at TFL did a vbox test and the Kia was the quickest of all three. Great review as always.
Just came from their channel lol

Nice comparison. Cannot wait to compare palisade and telluride
Def. they do share techs but they are built differently from top to bottom. No badge engineering.
When the Koreans outdo the Germans at a cheaper price.
👍🏻
Bobby Crypto When Ford out does both for a cheaper price in the 2020 Explorer
@@devinbender8428 cheaper? Where?
@@devinbender8428 Hahahaha FORD sucks dude!
jeremyd2003 the new 2020 Explorer will be slightly cheaper (option vs option) than the Telluride.
One small correction my man. The R-Line came out for the 2018 model year as the SE w/tech and then in late 2018, was available in the SEL model as well. The only big change between the 2018-2019 models was the Pano roof option from factory on the se and se w/tech.
Telluride. Hands down. Especially considering the price points
A little biased on the telluride? The Atlas is huge in the back. I’m 5’10 and fit super comfortable.
Kia has been nailing it here for the past few years
Sofyan....you are my go to automotive journalist!!! Always thorough and you have a great demeanor in your videos. Kudos to you!!
I'm not a fan of any of the brands, although I have owned different VWs and Kia's. By far I would have to go with the VW.
12:57 Іf I could, I would have whistled! The interior is incredible
i want kia Telluride~~
I really appreciate your reviews. We are in between the Telluride and the Ascent and this info makes things a lot easier for us.
The more I look at my 2019 Pilot, the more it reminds me of my parents '92 Mazda MPV....I should have waited for the Palisade.
Its a reliable car. Way more then the Palissade. Good buy have fun with it bro dont regret it 🙂
Not many remember the MPV. Anyway, what trim level of Pilot? They get pretty fancy.
Every publication I have read show the Ascent has 86.5 cubic feet of cargo volume, not 77. So there is a mere half cubic foot of difference between the Ascent and the Telluride.
Super_B 86 Including the under the floor storage.
Definitely love the look of the Telluride above the other 2. Great video!
James Chung Demon isn’t high. Supply is low.
Demand is 3x as high for a Grandcherokee or Explorer
Devin Bender : perhaps you’re right. I did however test drive the V6 Stinger, it was very nice once the turbos kicked in.
Definitely seems like it. The Kia is specced way higher and yes, several comments about the competing cars were outright false.
I want to know one thing honestly - which engine is the best and will run perfectly after 500k or 600k km? Volkswagen Or Hyundai Palisade? Which V6 engine is the best and reliable? I want to know only about best reliable engine so please tell me about it honestly
*As of 2019, the digital cockpit is standard on the SEL trim and above on the atlas.
You can always spray paint the VW Atlas grill black and it is fairly easy to remove it later.
Kia Telluride is my choice.
Subaru Ascent’s seating feels crampy.
I don’t trust VW at all. Burnt once never again.
