Thank you! People that use their influence may have a bigger impact than us rescue folks. All my rescue dogs have been throw aways, retired mill mamas (turned over to rescue) or shelter dogs. Most loving and thankful dogs ever.

I am in floods. You saw how thin she is. They yearn for love and attention and even in the good shelters, they are overcrowded and don‘t always have enough to eat and also, are too stressed from the noise. My husband and I I were also so emotional when ours arrived. It is an amazing feeling. She lives with our two cats now and it‘s wonderful.

Always adopt. And don’t ever discount older dogs. Them especially. They’ve been through a life of crap and deserve a good final few years.

Thanks for doing this video. We did exactly this with our girl and she is the best dog. We love her dearly. A dog doesn‘t have a good life in Romania. Wish people would do this more often and not go to breeders. Thank you so much.

Although it is nice to see, it leaves a bit of a sour taste in my mouth when I see humans treat dogs 10x better than their fellow humans, especially fellow humans who may just be of a different religion, skin color or gender.
@Martin No, I don't need to look after homeless people. I already treat humans better than dogs. If I don't take in homeless people, I for sure will never take in homeless dogs. I always have the ratio correct, humans > dogs.

It was the best thing we ever did rehoming our spaniel Alfie, such a loving and amazing dog.
We have a frenchie from puppy who is the most amazing personality, and rescued another French Bulldog from a Puppy Farm, Ava was 9 months old, had never been on grass, taken for a walk, had no clue what a dog toy was, and for the first few days shook uncontrollably when approached, also it took three months to properly house train her, she is now the most amazing confident little dog, our Male Finn and her are inseparable, but she absolutely worships my Wife...a rescue dog is unbelievably rewarding, well done to the pair of you..

I've never seen so many faux Tudor homes in my life. The dog looked terrified at the beginning, but after just a few minutes of interaction with the woman, the dog's tail started wagging, and a big smile broke across her face. The woman is a genius dog whisperer!

Well...... that totally ruined me....... sitting here at work steaming wait tears....... she's beaut guys. As a family, we've rescued dogs since I can remember, some from the kill houses and some from rescue centres. They've always been the most loving things ever, you'll have a blast! ❤
Love to see this. Adopted 2 dogs from Greece and 2 dogs and 3 cats from Romania myself, feels amazing to see them happy after the life they had on the streets. Best of luck with Connie, I'm sure she'll have a great life now! Let's hope this video makes people adopt more rescue dogs!

Romanian rescues can be difficult but it’s so rewarding! Mine is an ex street dog with a broken tail and his heads got a bulge in it from being hit but after nearly 2 years he’s improved so much with trusting people! Good luck and hope she has a happy life 🙂👊🏻

Was in Bucharest many years ago there are loads of strays everywhere its good you decided to rescue from Romania .
Such a wonderful thing that you and Ianthe are doing adopting a rescue. I lost my boy a week ago to cancer . We rescued him 14 years ago and he brought so much love to our home and I know that Connie will do the same for you. Great thing to use your influence for to bring awareness.

So so happy for you guys! What an amazing video & message. Me & my family have always adopted either homeless cats or family friends’ and rescue dogs (homeless animals was/is a more prevalent issue in my home country, Latvia, and even worse Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Romania ), but we have always stuck to the same approach here in the uk too.
As you correctly pointed out, rescue animals, young or old, have an incredible soul bond with you if you treat them right and make them feel loved. They’re no different to any other dog or cat, they just went through more than those that went straight to great families.
As correctly pointed out, there’s nothing wrong with buying a cat or a dog, but often than not they are bred in horrible conditions, their parents exploited until the very last moment, and in light of COVID, dogs are stolen to be bred in even worse conditions (all fuelled by people’s desire to get a dog, without really worrying how the seller got it).
Adoption of rescue dogs & cats is a slightly longer process compared to outright buying, but I believe it’s what will steer us in the right direction, where much fewer commercial dog & animal breeders exist, where animals actually enjoy their life.
Paw prints is a great dog rescue charity it seems, and it makes me feel so proud that more people get to know and use charities like these.

My god this is the most wholesome thing ever, and the fact you obviously care more about Connie already than the (admittedly amazing) material possessions you have just shows how genuinely good you guys are. We adopted a rescue 7 years ago and then got given another dog a year later and Ianthe is so right, the rescue is the most loyal doggo ever
