I love that you listened to the advise of your adoption counselor to find the right fit. As someone who works in rescue people often ignore us and then end up with a dog that is not the right fit for their family that they then abandon. Also a pair getting adopted together can be some of the hardest dogs to get adopted so super amazing to get a bonded pair adopted. Congrats to you and your roommate on your new dogs and thanks for rescuing and saving lives!

Awww Hi Lola! She is so cute. My kiddos are asking for a furry family member but I don't have the bandwidth or allergy control right now LOL and they are toddlers so they can't help in the ways that I would need lol! But, I absolutely love dogs and grew up with furry siblings. SO happy for you and your new baby. Congratulations Mama!

Oh wow! I thought they were so cute just staring out like take me out please. I feel so sorry for all these dogs and to know they will be put down just to make room sad!
My problem was I wanted to take them all home. Luckily in GA they are no-kill which means they will only euthanize if there is illness or uncontrollable behavior like multiple bite incidents that can be dangerous to staff or citizens. I actually volunteer at the shelter I adopted from and they are really great people with the , the animals they receive. They get equine , pigs, rabbits, birds, reptiles , cats... you name it they probably have gotten it lol. They have a great fostering following and weekend warrior program that helps make room when needed😊

They are beautiful dogs. I've been trying to adopt a dog for several months but the shelters in MD are closed. I drove to NC and tried also but not interested in any bully type dogs.

Sydney Rhodes sorry for the late reply! Yes it’s a beautiful mix! he’s a tan color with blue eyes so light they almost look white. His tail curls like a huskies does.... but he also sheds like one too 😂

Those breeds don't need to be dressed up, they can over heat and they actually prefer cooler weather, it can be dangerous for them to dress them up

Sydney, no matter how well trained a dog is there is no reason to ever walk a dog off leash. They're unpredictable & anything could happen. Also how does it work adopting 2 dogs as roommates, what happens if your friendship ends, what happens to the pups?
To each is own. The important things is to learn your dogs behaviors and decide what’s best for you as an owner and your fur baby. My dog walks off leash because that’s my choice. I’m well aware of when, where, and how she will act off leash and plan accordingly should things change.
Also, we adopted the dogs individually and have actually already moved apart. The dogs are just fine☺️ thanks for the concern and for watching💕
Sydney, ummmm no. Safety is never an "to each his own" issue. There are leash laws for a reason, not everyone likes dogs for 1 & it's about respecting other people. There is no reason for any dog to be walked off leash other than to show off on the owners part. You cannot predict what where when & how your dog will react to any situation & you're putting her in harms way with this flippant attitude about it. Her being off leash puts her in a prey position for another dog to attack her, she could get started or spooked & run off into the road, she could run up to someone in a friendly manner to someone who is terrified of dogs. No. Sorry. Cute story & you seem like a lovely person & great dog owner but to let her walk off leash just so you csn show off is not it. Protect your pup & respect others by keeping her on leash ma'am.
I appreciate your concern and input but This isn’t my first rodeo owning a pet. I’m very capable of determining what’s best for me and my pet in any given situation.
If it's not your 1st rodeo then you should know how to be a responsible pet owner & walking her off leash just to look good is not being responsible. You should also know then that dogs are still animals by nature & unpredictable, you can't control them in any situation. What is the purpose of walking her off leash, I'm just curious. To show off & say see look how good I am I trained her to walk off leash. Self serving. Nah. I don't want to see no videos of you on here later talking bout Lola got put down because she ran up to someone or she got killed by a car. But do you boo.

Lola, I've met several Lola dogs but it wasn't until after I got here which was so weird. Her name choice was between Luna and Lola lol

Hi, my roommate actually moved shortly after this video in June of 2020 so they haven't seen each other for over a year and both have been just fine. I think this is due to the us being pretty good dog parents (:

I hate that there’s such shade with the whole adopt don’t shop shit. Who cares if you bought your dog or paid less for a previously bought dog?? With the exception of longtime strays on the streets they’re all pretty much bred regardless. Just not kept. Still a cute video. Intro just triggered me.
The issue is folks are breeding animals and selling them to people who want them based off looks/status symbols/etc. not knowing the commitment that comes with ownership of pets in general (not even just dogs).
Which then leaves the animals either abandon, mistreated, etc.! Shelters are over crowded and over worked and end up having to come to the rescue or put animals down because of this.
So when you see #adoptdontshop there’s no shade, it’s a movement to help eliminate issues people are both consciously and unconsciously making by adding animals to an already overpopulated issue!
