I noticed you changed the name of your channel. When you use your name like that then your content can be anything! Sorry if people were hassling you about it.
Yes, but do it when you're ready. I had a friend who lost her ❤ dog & was really grieving. She quickly adopted another dog & after a month, almost took her back because she wasn't ready for someone new. Quite a few of us talked her through that tough time & she kept the dog. It's all better now, and she loves her new girl, but still misses her boy.
Doggie suffered a loss of loved ones, her humans. You suffered a loss, your beloved dog. So you both now found new love, and can live together overcoming the pain of a loss.
The threes rules…..3 days to decompress; 3 weeks to relax and establish a routine; and 3 months to fully be comfortable in her new situation. Congratulations!
So sad that an elderly lady who is dying had to leave her 2 dogs at a shelter! That would kill me! I’m glad you gave her a home! It sounds like it worked out for both of you! ❤️🐶
The similarities to Lilly aren't because you were trying to replace her, they were simply a sign that Georgie was meant to be yours. I truly believe our animals are chosen for us and find a way to be with us. Congrats on your "new" baby.
I adopted two children in the 1970s. The procedure I went through to adopt a dog in 2008 was far more intensive than for my children. I lost my doggie last year…she was 18. Just adopted another pooch..privately…he’s older, but then, so am I. We can be geriatric together. If everyone would adopt, there wouldn’t be any strays.
I just kept smiling through this video. I trap, spay and neuter cats, and re-home them. I love dogs, but as a senior I know cats are better suited for me. So glad you adopted Belle. She will be so good for you, as you will be for her. A true win win for you both.
older dogs are so overlooked but they are wonderful for people like myself that are also not younger and they suit my quieter lifestyle. Enjoy your many years with your lovely little pooch.
I lost my dog to CHF in August.. he was 16. he was a shelter dog. I dopted him when he was 6 months ...the pain was real. I was devistated...I decided to adopt again and I went on pet finder because I needed a new friend. He was a foster. He such a great dog. Sometimes you need a new buddy..thats his name btw. I'll never get over Eddy but my new dogs helps alot. I needed something to love again.
My precious little Lucy hugs me with her head and neck. She's a 6Lb chihuahua who was given to me when I was going through a divorce after 30 years. She was born on my birthday in 2016 and is an angel in a dogs body. God used her to revive my will to live and restore my soul. I now have 2 more chihuahuas and they are so precious!
Chihuahua’s are great dogs. I grew up many years ago with a chihuahua and a Kerry blue terrier . The Kerry blue terrier was older and eventually lost its hearing and couldn’t see very well .. Frito, our Chihuahua, become our Kerry blue’s seeing eye dog and would wake Tara, the Kerry blue, up to go bark at the door and kept Tara able to navigate outside and in the house . It was a beautiful relationship between the 2 .. I miss them both as my youth was very difficult and they made it easier to survive
PS: she’s going to have a GREAT life with you as an “only” pet who will get tons of attention and live in a quiet home with travel adventures galore. Thank you for adopting a shelter dog- she’s a sweetie!!❤
If you are looking for a specific age / size / breed… just be patient and keep looking at the shelters and rescues daily! Your perfect match will be there eventually. Adopted dogs are the most grateful creatures ❤
Congratulations Georgie on getting a new mom! She is sooooo precious. Amber you are noticeably a happier person. I wish you all the best with little Georgie!
I've lost my Sonny 2 yrs ago..adopting is the only way to go..but will never change to fill my heart from losing Sonny . 💔😭..he was my everything, my soulmate!
So sweet. I know how special it feels to see an adopted pup transform from a fearful, unemotional creature to a playful, funny, loving companion. You and Georgie are meant to be. I’m happy for you both.
Georgie looks so much like our Charlie we adopted from a no kill shelter. He was such a cuddle bug and much loved. Here's to many cuddles with your new furbaby.
Amber, I cried through this video. I am so so happy for you and for Georgie too, you are both blessings to each other. I’m so glad it worked out with her. Somehow I bet Lily led you to Georgie, she just seems perfect for you. I notice you removed Story Chasing but you really are still creating stories and probably always will. 😃 No matter how the content changes, I will always watch. Looking forward to seeing more from you and GB 🥰❤️
I think it was smart to wait until you were ready. It’s always difficult to move on, but Georgie is beautiful! I’m so happy for you. Congratulations!! BTW, the adoption agency that worked with you sounds amazing and so thorough. Okay, one more thought. How lucky is that sweet baby to have found such a loving home with you as her mama. ❤️
Me and my boyfriend (had been living together for 5 years at that time) tried to adopt and not shop, but the shelter told us we weren't married, and because we were considered a young couple (under 30), they said it was too high risk we were going to break up in the future... We still want to adopt in the future, now when we both are 30+. All dogs deserve a loving home and I'm so happy more people are adopting from shelters and not shopping.
Georgie is adorable! As a previous chihuahua breeder I am confident that her initial screeching at being picked up, is not necessarily a sign of abuse, but more a sign of being nervous of new people. So unless she has other signs that you haven't mentioned, it may be just that. It's so wonderful that she has a good and permanent home now!
Welcome to the SC community little Georgie. Nice to see you smiling Amber. This has been a good reset for you. Blessings to you and your new little fur baby.
OMG!!! I’m crying before I even watch this video! She’s beautiful! I love her! I feel the same way about getting another one after my Daisy died in January. She was 16 & was my heart! Georgie was meant to be your new baby! Bell being her name when that was Lily’s middle name is a definite sign & her being good for an RV is definitely another sign! My Daisy was a chihuahua. I love them! My niece wanted a chihuahua when we got a dog & I wasn’t crazy about chihuahuas but love them now after having sweet Daisy! I decided that I’m going to rescue senior chihuahuas when I’m ready but not ready yet! A friend rescues chihuahuas. He doesn’t know their names so he names them old lady names. He has Sadie, Gertrude, Hazel, Peggy & Sally. They are all so cute & none of them look alike! I am so happy for you & Georgie! Love her name! You just hit the dog Mommy lottery Georgie! ❤
Sandra P 😊 Oh Sandra, I know it's touch after they pass and your sensitive heart is feeling it too. I'm glad Georgie can offer up a little happiness for you until the time is right for your rescue. Keep me posted.
Kelli 😊 I think we both do. Except she'd love to go on walks like every minute of the day. lol. I get out a least 4 times a day with her for a good walk.
Precious!!!!❤❤❤❤ Adoption Always....yes!!! I lost my soul dog last December at 15+. Devastating. In February a local rescue sent a flyer of 9 dogs needing adoption. One reminded me of my sweet boy..a week later he was mine. I feel my soul dog sent him ❤
I’m so happy for you. I recently lost one of my chihuahuas on Easter Sunday. It’s devastating and while we cannot replace our beloved dogs, it’s a tribute of our love for them when we share ourselves with another deserving pup! Missed your videos and IG posts and hope you’re doing well.
Well there you are! Been wondering about you and missing you. Georgie looks like a perfect fit for you ... and of course, you for her! So glad you have this little ray of sunshine to fill your days with love. Looking forward to more updates and CONGRATULATIONS!!!
When my calico Fifi died I was unconsolable. But then I found myself looking on pet finder every now and then. And of course I gravitated towards calicos. About 10 months after Fifi died, I adopted Coco...another calico. and she's never going to be Fifi, but she's just as sweet and loveable as Fifi was. I think Fifi would be pleased, as will Lilly be pleased. They'd never want us feeling alone.
I'm happy I found your channel, ki like you lost my jack Russell Maddie 7 months ago September 15th and I feel this is the time to adopt iive begun the process. I'm so hoping to find the second love of my life.
Hi Amber and Georgie! I'm so glad to see an update from you as I was thinking about you today since it's been awhile....I even went to your channel to see if I might have missed a video! You look so happy and I'm happy for you!
We have a chi weenie named Princess who looks very much like Belle. We adopted her from Operation Kindness in 2014. Someone had dumped two puppies into a dumpster and left the mama running around the outside. A volunteer with Operation Kindness just happened to see the mother dog and was able to rescue the puppies. When they were ready to be adopted OK posted them on their website and my husband saw it and called me at work and said he had found our new puppy. She has been a joy.
Amber, so glad you opened your heart to another dog. She suits you and you can tell she knows she’s in her “fur-ever” home. Best wishes for many happy days together!
I rescued a "cocker-weinie" almost 12 years ago. His favorite place to sit is on the back of the sofa so that he can guard his property! Georgie is adorable and will bring you so much joy!
Congratulations on the new addition to your life, i'm a foster parent and I have a foster dog who does the same screaming thing even when I'm not touching him just trying to put a harness on him, took him to the vet to make sure he didn't have an medical issue's, just behavioral also discover he's epileptic, seizures brought on by sunshine he's on meds now and no more seizures yeah.
What a cute little dog Georgie is! Giant eyes and I love how she runs about. Sunning herself in rocks that she disappears into!😂 Congratulations Amber.
Been a shelter volunteer. There were many times when an older lady would come in with her daughter to find a dog to replace one that had passed, same with cats. They would tell me the family would push them and I always told them that they would know when they're ready. Georgie (Bella) had traumas but you gave her a chance to adjust and it looks like it worked out great. We always try to match personalities between the pet and the adopter and you typify that match, enjoy each other!
She looks so much like my chiwini Sisu. Sisu had a lot of trauma before me. I’ve had her since 2016 and she’s a total LOVE!!! Georgie reminds me so much of Sisu! Sisu loves to lay in the sun!! Congratulations 🥰❤️❤️🩹
Great it's finally official and She's a head hugger, like my dog. ❤️👍🏾 Love her response to taking, what my dog know as, "a piece of walk." Same level of excitement.😊
Australian Shepherd and Schnauzer mix. She was a purchase puppy from a local breeder I used to work with. I actually chose one of Her brothers, but She won me over with the head hugging.🥰
You hit the jackpot Georgie. Congratulations Amber. All of our furbabies have been rescues🐾 We had to return 2 dogs (Dachshunds) b/c they looked at our cats as prey. We finally found the perfect Doxie at a local shelter. He and our older Doxie and the cats all got along. Looking forward to you and Georgia’s adventures💓
Maggie09 😊 Oh wow that's crazy about the "prey". Glad you found the one that fit and get along with the other fur babies. There's a home out there for the 2 you returned.
Dear Amber, so wonderful to see you and gorgeous Georgie. YEA ... here is to thriving! Those amazing beings do rescue us. Much love, adventure and everlasting hugs to you both.
She is just beautiful!! What a sweetie! It hurts to lose our precious fur babies, but it is such a good healing experience to open your heart to give another deserving doggy a good home. All of my pets have been rescues, and l am always so happy to hear when someone adopts and can provide a loving home for them. They bring so much love and joy to our lives and l know you two will have great times together. 🐾💕😊
Such a cute dog. This is not meant to sound insensitive but lost my perfect 5 year old dog a month ago and was torn apart purchased a new puppy the very next day. Still miss her dearly but so so much better to have another to get through the pain
It’s my first time commenting here but I’ve been following you for some time now. I’m so happy you and Georgie have found each other and supporting each other! It’s a perfect match. Rescue fur babies are the best - I have one myself. Looking forward to more videos. Welcome back. 😊
Georgie looks like she’s got some Corgi in her - specifically the ears. She’s beautiful 😍 so happy for both of you. My rescue is from Texas too 😊 but shipped up to me in New England.
Rescues can be challenging but if you have patience they are the best. My mom had a sweet cat and when she died he became my baby. There was no way in hell I would take him to the shelter...he was a part of my mom. Selfish families make me sick almost as much as breeders. Bless you for giving this sweet girl a second chance and sharing your story. All my babies are rescues and they are wonderful! 😻😻😻
Omg I just adopted a furbaby today. Shelter dogs are the BEST!! Her name is Echo. So very happy for you. You guys will have so many amazing adventures together ❤❤
Okay, I just watched the Georgie video for the third time because I can't resist watching her! She's so darn cute! You aren't trying to replace Lily just like I won't be replacing Daisy! They can never be replaced! Lily and Daisy are in our hearts forever and they will never be forgotten! Europe isn't going anywhere! I still think you should ship your van to Europe and then Georgie can go with you! Aren't you so glad you have subscribers that can tell you how to live your life? lol My heart is exploding with happiness for you! It's great to see you smiling again! Warms my heart! Okay, I have to get some work done now! :)
Congratulations! So happy for you. I'm glad you waited. We need to grieve and then we can give our love. You BOTH look very happy and I look forward to a travel video
How wonderful for you and Georgie. We just love our fur babies and they fill a void in our lives . Thank you for sharing.I was concerned I had not see you but figured you were resting and settling into your new home.
"Playing" with anybody is like kinda fight about a ressource for SOME dogs. They do not want to play about a severe matter. Toys can be such a ressource. My dog I had her for 13 years never "played" at all. And her respect of thing that she may see as ONLY mine was enormous. In return I respected things that she meant being hers. In spite she NEVER was aggressive in whatever but very timid. Her first 3 years were on the street and she was a high sensible little shy person. She was my heart😢. Thank you for giving little Georgie whatever she needs.
Good to see you and your new little love in your life. We found a rescue cat (no dogs allowed in the condo) during Covid and she’s an important member of the family. Good update.❤
Thank you for sharing ❤she’s been through so much. It had to be really hard for her to lose her “elderly mom”-thank you for taking her in. Praying for you and her and her previous “mom”. Can’t imagine being older and knowing you are dying and have no one to take care of your dogs…
Welcome Georgie. So cute.I can't have a dog But enjoy watching your little one. I'm a disabled senior and ex RVer. What fun to ride along with your family.😊😊😊❤❤❤
I lost me Chi of 16 years a month ago. The pain was terrible. In my case one week later we got a 2 1/2 year old Chihuahua that was a former show dog but timid. We went through similar things as Georgie but 3 weeks in my Bailey is doing great!❤❤❤
Say hello to Georgie and leave us a comment. I've missed you all!
Welcome to the never ending Story Chasing Georgie. ❤
Welcome back! 🧡
Georgie is absolutely adorable ❣Have missed your videos also.
I noticed you changed the name of your channel. When you use your name like that then your content can be anything! Sorry if people were hassling you about it.
Hello Georgie! You’re a pretty girl😊
The best way to honor your really great dog, is to give a good home to another really great dog.

I'll bet you've worked in a shelter or rescue!! We say those words all of the time to get adopters to understand dogs take time to adjust!!!!!!
Thank you for that formula. Been struggling with this exactly.
So sad that an elderly lady who is dying had to leave her 2 dogs at a shelter! That would kill me! I’m glad you gave her a home! It sounds like it worked out for both of you! ❤️🐶

Beautifully said!!

I am older also and intend to adopt older from now on. I would love puppies but there comes a time.
Amen to that Sharon. Adopt, Don't shop!
Which is why adoption is a joke
I lost my dog to CHF in August.. he was 16. he was a shelter dog. I dopted him when he was 6 months ...the pain was real. You are such a good parent. Lots of walks, healthy food, lots of affirmations and affection. Perfection!

💔😭..he was my everything, my soulmate!
Awww... she's one lucky little girly pup! She found her forever home with you. Congrats to the both of you.😊
So sweet. I know how special it feels to see an adopted pup transform from a fearful, unemotional creature to a playful, funny, loving companion. You and Georgie are meant to be. I’m happy for you both.
❤Welcome sweet Georgie ❤ We all love you 🎉
L S 😊 awww...I told her before the video was posted that she already had a prebuilt in fan based and she's going to get so much love. lol
Georgie is lovely, well done, greetings from Cyprus. 🐶🐶🙏🙏💙💙
Georgie looks so much like our Charlie we adopted from a no kill shelter. He was such a cuddle bug and much loved. Here's to many cuddles with your new furbaby.

Jennifer Deleon Thank you very much! 😊🙏

BTW, the adoption agency that worked with you sounds amazing and so thorough.
Okay, one more thought. How lucky is that sweet baby to have found such a loving home with you as her mama. ❤️

We still want to adopt in the future, now when we both are 30+. All dogs deserve a loving home and I'm so happy more people are adopting from shelters and not shopping.
You can tell from a mile away that is a great dog.

🙏For adopting and not shopping! Adopted dogs know they’ve been rescued and they feel forever great full! Always unconditional love! 💗🙏💗
She's so cute. I'm glad you were able to find another dog to love. I hope you bring each other so much happiness.

@@storychasingAmber, that is awesome!

Bless her little heart. She deserves some loving and so do you my dear.
Happy for you and for Georgie. Helps my mental health to see you doing well.
All of my dogs were adopted, either from the pound, off the streets, or given to me. They are the best!

It’s my first time commenting here but I’ve been following you for some time now. I’m so happy you and Georgie have found each other and supporting each other! It’s a perfect match. Rescue fur babies are the best - I have one myself. Looking forward to more videos. Welcome back. 😊
How precious how she tucks her head onto your neck.
I got my doggo from a workmate who died just after she retired. Her kids didnt want him, he was 11. Hes nearly 15 now and my soul dog.
No raw hide anything for Georgie please
It is extremely hard to digest for them. She is so sweet! ❤
Omg I just adopted a furbaby today. Shelter dogs are the BEST!! Her name is Echo.
So very happy for you. You guys will have so many amazing adventures together ❤❤
I love Georgie Belle. Welcome to the family. Your mommy is the greatest.
So happy you've got a new little girl to love, and she clearly loves you too. How fantastic that she loves to ride. You're the best dog mamma! ❤
That is wonderful that you got a new addition to your family. Georgie is adorable.
She’s adorable and I love her name! She’s one lucky girl!
She’s Beautiful! Thank you for adopting.
Georgie Belle is PRECIOUS! 🥰❤
Congratulations Amber. So happy for you and Georgie.
Oh my goodness, when I saw her head hug my heart melted. You're a fantastic mom to Georgie. It's the perfect match
This just warms my heart Amber, Georgie is so blessed to have you as her mom and the joy she brings you is beautiful ❤
You are a great human being for adopting and giving her a great life.
Where have you been? I hope everything is ok..
Georgie is too cute! Love those ears. You did good. So did she. Wishing you both a lovely life - together.
Awe, she's precious. I'm so happy for you Amber! Having a 4 legged friend to experience life with definitely contributes to health and well being.
Congratulations!! Love her! (And you) ❤️
Thank you for sharing ❤she’s been through so much. It had to be really hard for her to lose her “elderly mom”-thank you for taking her in. Praying for you and her and her previous “mom”. Can’t imagine being older and knowing you are dying and have no one to take care of your dogs…
Lynn You're so welcome and glad you enjoyed it. 😊🙏
Welcome Georgie. So cute.I can't have a dog
But enjoy watching your little one. I'm a disabled senior and ex RVer. What fun to ride along with your family.😊😊😊❤❤❤
Her behaviors are so chihuahua! They make amazing pets especially for a single. Hugs from Olivia. My adopted Chi
Congratulations to you both!
I can see that you’re a fierce dog lover! They are the best thing that ever happened to humans, most definitely.
Dogs are my favorite people!
Georgie is so beautiful how adorable. I'm so happy for you. And it's great to hear from you 😊 see you soon 😊
LOVE this!!! So happy for you and sweet Georgie!!!
I lost me Chi of 16 years a month ago. The pain was terrible. In my case one week later we got a 2 1/2 year old Chihuahua that was a former show dog but timid. We went through similar things as Georgie but 3 weeks in my Bailey is doing great!❤❤❤
