- Lots of people want to start a business in Thailand, years later very few are still afloat. Dan Collins and his partner Nina are the exception to the rule. Nina and Dan own and run Margarita Beach Resort in Khanom, Thailand.
Dan's story will inspire you to follow your dream and even more so, chill out and live a happy life.

I met Dan Collins and was introduced to Khanom Beach on January 30, 2024 (Taco Tuesday). By February 15, 2024 I had moved here full time (from Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan). I won’t say it was all due to Dan but he is a warm, smart, welcoming, man who convinced me that Khanom Beach was the place for me. Today, two months later, he and Nina are two of my favorite people in Khanom, Nakhon Si Thammarat. I LOVE it here.
Could not agree more. We live here because of Dan’s hospitality and kindness more than anything else well, except maybe for the beach!🏝️
We loved meeting Dan when we stayed they in August. We are the Aussie couple that stayed at Margarita Beach because we saw it on on your UA-cam channel and we are so glad we did. Margarita Beach as a great place to stay and chill. The staff are all so helpful and lovely. Loved breakfast at Frankie’s as well, they have the best breads and croissants. We are hoping to come to Samui next year so hopefully we can meet to both too. Thanks for your video 🙏🏻
I must admit that I was well aware when Dan brought it up during the video that you guys had stayed. It was a bit of 'acting' there. We of course remember you and our exchanges. Look forward to meeting you guys in person some time soon!
Thanks Ed and Tomo….very well done interview in my humble opinion. I’m a retired marine engineer, living in Thailand, who sometimes thinks about my career choice. My parents tried to steer me towards the Hotel/Motel management field but I choose a life at sea, mainly because I got a days paid vacation for every day that I worked…..100 days on the ship, 100 days off. So, I really enjoyed hearing Dans story. I am one of Got2LoveThailand’s live stream gang, which is where I found your channel. My Thai/American teenage daughter loves the beach and we usually take her to the ocean on her school break. If we make a trip to Margarita we will be sure and tell them you sent us..:-))
