    Many have asked if I would do a realtime (actual speed) video that takes time to go through Nomad sculpting a bit more step-by-step. While I hesitate to do that on a more advance sculpt as those can easily take 5+ hours or so, I'm attempting to do that here in a more basic sculpt. Joined with my production partner (my son), I tackle sculpting a cute cat drawing from my other son. Hopefully, this video will demystify more of the gui and techniques involved in a simple Nomad sculpt. Enjoy and Happy Sculpting!

    I wasn’t sure at first about this tutorial after having no success with others (either too boring or not simple or not too brief to even understand) however after watching this and with your son asking questions all the way through it’s been incredibly useful to me! This one video has taught me the many basics and operations of Nomad that I have been looking for as a beginner :) thank you so much!

    I ran in to the image import issue also, and my solution was lifted from the Nomad forum: Open Photos and Files split screen, and drag the image in to the Nomad dir, and then import it as a file back in the app. Might save folks a step.

    I got Nomad Sculpt just a few days ago and had still no idea how to get started with sculpting at that time (I didn't know about adding primitive shapes, I thought you'd magically form something good looking out of just one sphere lol) but thanks to your video I was able to follow along the whole process and the result looks actually pretty nice for my first attempt! Oi! É... Eu pretendia comentar em Inglês, mas com certeza eu não iria saber me expressar direito com meu Inglês do Duolingo ksksks (Risos). :] É sobre como eu faço para transformar dois objetos modelados no Nomad Sculpt em 1. Pois, quando seleciono a opção: (Simple Merge) para unir os dois objetos, e depois uso o: (Smooth) para aliviar onde os dois objetos se colidem, acaba que eu não consigo mexer, sem que um dos objetos saiam do local. É como se ainda estivessem separados, e por causa disso eu não consigo fazer uma junção perfeita. :( Me ajuda por favor! E me desculpa se eu não soube me explicar direito. :>

    Do you think nomad can be used to make cosplay weapons? Something big. I have never 3d modeled or printed, but I'd like to start. However, I do not want to spend money on this app if it cannot support what I am after.

    • @eric3dee
      @eric3dee  Рік тому +1

      Absolutely it can. Though it isn't a cad modeler, so if you are after precision, you may want to take the time to learn Blender. But if you are after something sculptural, Nomad is pretty inexpensive for such a great sculpting solution.

    How do i make things smooth I’ve been trying for hours
    Im ready to give up

    • @eric3dee
      @eric3dee  2 роки тому

      I'm not quite sure what your specific issue might be. A couple of thoughts - make sure the "Relax" option on the smooth tool isn't turned on. If your voxel mesh resolution is too high either consider lowering it (lower resolutions smooth more easily) or just use the flatten tool. The flatten tool doesn't smooth exactly but it can definitely be used to help smooth dense surfaces.

      The Paint All action I'm doing at that point in the video is only to adjust the Roughness value, so I have Color unchecked when hitting Paint All. Sorry I wasn't as clear there

      I don't do commissions too often as I typically don't have the time. If you are hiring someone else, I would expect to pay several hundred if not more depending on the character. Consider the amount of time it takes x the artist's level of expertise.
