Maybe I missed it, but it seemed that you didn't cover involuntary movements caused by the medication, perhaps I glazed over it. I'm about to start Abilify. But I'm freaked out about some of the possible side effects. I'm really on the fence about taking it. In fact, I've almost decided against it. I'm not sure the risk of involuntary movements is worth the possible benefits.
aripiprazole in shit! Psichitrst forced me to take it. I had it for more of one month and i stopped because i was very bas. I dont take it from different months but i still don t feel good like before to take it
Hy , I am having schizophrenia from last 15 years i was fine on medication , but recently my Psychiatrist changed my medicine from Haloperidol to Aripiprazole . After taking Aripiprazole for 15 days i become manic . I want to know does this Aripiprazole causes manic episodes ?
Surya there is a chance it might cause Due to Haloperidol acts as a D2 antagonist where as Aripiprazole is D2 Partial Agonist due to Hypodopamine by Haloperidol this might be caused.. if you have any insta or Whatsapp id paste it here.. What is the dosage of previous haloperidol ? Further details has to be known to confirm whether is it the cause or not ? Are you still using Aripirazole ?

I have bipolar disorder and I also take aripiprazole. It’s a very good medicine for psychosis.

I have bipolar too, but it makes me feel horrible like I’m going crazy. I can’t sleep either should I stop taking it?
