- Just a quick video of my new tank additions in my 29 gallon. I hope you enjoy! This is not an in-depth care guide, more like a overview. I would not ever teach others how to care for a fish species that I just got.

Great looking fish, Buddy!
Everything I Know thanks! How are your betta fry doing?
nice and interesting, planning to get some myself....
Great looking cories, love watching them school together. New Subscriber
Jadren Aquatics The way they school is what makes them my favorite fish. Thanks for the sub! I am so surprised I haven’t come across your videos yet. Subbed back and will be binge watching them
i breed them, and recently had 2 albinos of them in one batch of young fry.
I got 6 Cory in my indoor pond .. fun fish to keep they have no scale
Loving the content man. Just came from your comment on King of DIY haha
MrChris2Fur Thanks, Chris. That means a lot! Im gonna have to check out some of your old cwalk vids. When did you get into the hobby?
neighborhoodman323 haha it’s all good! I kinda quit cwalking for quite some time now tbh, but some people want me to make videos again. If you’re talking about cwalking, I started about 7-8 years ago. If you’re talking about the aquarium life, I got into the fish hobby when I was young actually. My dad introduced me into it at a young age.
MrChris2Fur Can I ask why you quit? I can understand quitting the video aspect, though. Video making can be pretty tedious at times! And thats great. Are you Viet?
The dance phase just died down as the years went on and no one was really into it anymore. I actually enjoyed editing the videos haha. I didn't do anything to crazy though. And I'm actually Chinese. Are you Viet?
I have 4 of these on order. I had ordered gold lasers, but they were out
I got 6 weekend they are lovely fish to look great going to get another 6 or so then ill breed them later on
❤️
Open sandy areas & petrified wood hardscape. Don't be deceived by the Spartan layout - this man knows his cories! Anyone who has kept & bred corydoras knows how they just love perching atop flat rocks, elevated off the substrate. Very nice tank layout & cories, bruh!
Hahaha I must say your comment is very well structured and entertaining to read. Thanks for the kind feedback. My v cories are super red and teal. it's almost unreal! Petrified wood is sick. It would look even cooler with algae growing on it. Thank's for watching, Saufi!
@@neighborhoodman323 Pleasure is mine, man! It's great to see your love & dedication to making your cories right at home - away from home! 🤣 Btw, your idea to let algae cover those rocks? It'll be a blast! Coz C. venezuelanus is on of the few species found in cobbled streams. Seriously! Where they graze on the awfusch/algae-covered rocks. Why rocky streams? Guess sandy streams went too mainstream for these guys... 🤷♂️
I've been dosing quite a bit of fertilizers in my waters. However, most of the algae forms only on the glass of the tank. How can I induce algae growth on rocks? I love the way algae looks on hardscapes.
@@neighborhoodman323 Easy. According to Liebig's Law of Minimum, if just 1 limiting factor were absent then the desired optimal equilibrium would not be achieved - and in this translates to a lack of light. When all limiting factors are present (light, C, miacro µ-nutrients) but plants aren't, algae takes over. Taking advantage of the abundant resources available.
Therefore, increase your light intensity in terms of higher wattage (not duration) & increase macronutrient levels naturally; by adding more "dirty" fish such as mollies/swordtails. IMO, that ought to do the trick! Chemically synthesized fertilizers can build up in the limited confines of an aquarium & thus, it would be better to err on the side of caution via a more natural approach.
Saufi Suria you are a wealth of knowledge! What a wonderful comment. Do you have background in science? I am currently a Biomedical major in college. When I find the funds, I’ll upgrade my lights for higher intensity :)
What up Alan nice Vid it Super Pig btw
Emily Bogatay thanks Landon!
I've been looking for these for a while. Anybody know of some reputable online sources I can get some from?
Hands down my favorite cory cat. Unfortunately, I do not. I looked up US sources and found azgardens.com. However, they have pretty bad reviews. So to directly answer your question, I unfortunately do not. Maybe ask your local fish store to see if their vendors have any? Good luck!
Aquatic Arts has them in occasionally. You can sign up for restock alerts!
I just bought mine from Aqua Huna. I have bought fish from them before and they came disease and parasite free.
i'm breeding a lighter form of cory aeneus, at least that's what i tought. I had already + 300 young last year, which are now swiming in a lot of different fishtanks all around at fishkeepers' homes. I bred the aeneus under clear white LED light, so i was convinced it was a lighter type of aeneus. A friend of me, who recently took 10 of my aeneus, put them under RGB light. Today i visited him, an I took pictures of the fish, because i did not expect the aeneus to be that orange in front, dorsal fin and back.... I did my research and now i'm sure a have bred the cory venezuela orange for a year or more, without knowing it. Yes i'm one of the people who confused venezuela orange with aneus, the confusion planetcatfish.com also states. I guess i have to reconsider my selling price :)
Why not to make a Biotope Aquarium instead of such mix of fishes? Such corys un its own environment, lives with tetras and plecos best than platys or mollys.
Pedro Martínez I agree that a biotope would be better. I got those two mollies (because they looked cute) when I was first starting the hobby. They definitely deserve a large tank so I just threw them in.
Currently though, the corys are housed with 14 Ember tetras! It’s been a while since i’ve updated youtube on my tanks haha
You dead?
@@KornflakezRandomStuff Pretty much. About to start my 3rd year of medical school
@@neighborhoodman323 I was just wondering because you had some pretty nice videos and then bam, gone. 4 years no upload. But the medical school explains your death. Good luck sir!
