Download our original song "H O M E" on soundclout: soundcloud.com/chingsling/finalfinalhome My brother and I have been into indie music lately and decided to drop a song of our own. I'd like to thank Tuan Nguyen for mastering/mixing the track and Joseph Nam Tran for his advisory. In the near future, we hope to make more music as the band urban children. All Rights Reserved. This is a compilation of videos I have posted on my instagram page (@neighborhoodman323), where I combine Indie Music and Fish Keeping. Enjoy! I am currently trying to apply for Medical School, so I still may not be as active as I'd like to be. However, still expect the occasional upload!

Plastic Storage Container Pond UPDATE: Finally Adding New Fish!
Переглядів 15 тис.5 років тому
After 5 months of letting the system balance out, I am finally stocking the tank with 12 Panda Corydoras and 1 African Dwarf Frog (plan on getting 3 more ADFs). This plastic storage container pond experiment is going quite well I'd say! Thanks for watching, and I hope you enjoy, Fish Friends! Just a quick video of my new tank additions in my 29 gallon. I hope you enjoy! This is not an in-depth care guide, more like a overview. I would not ever teach others how to care for a fish species that I just got. I FINALLY organized all my fish tanks into one area. This video was more VLOG-styled. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoyed the process of setting it up. I will make a video on what I will put in the bottom shelf, so stay tuned! It would make my DAY if you commented what you thought of my video!

My vertically recorded performance of Étude Op. 25, No. 12 for the Mr. Central UCO Pageant. I cut it short to reach the time limit for the talent portion. Pretty sloppy, I know, but it still got me the talent award :)

What's the larger fish in the video, and is tit peacful??
I wonder if he's still keeping fish?
Hey! Yes, I am. I have a 40 gallon with a blood parrot cichlid and a 20 gallon shrimp tank with otocinclus catfish. It's all I can manage right now since starting medical school. I wish I could have kept up with the video making, but it takes a lot of time
@@neighborhoodman323 Oh my, thank you for answering. Glad you still have fish, and wish you the best with medical school.
Really great videos on your channel. Hoping you come back soon for more video updates. Cheers!
Would a heavy duty work? I'm thinking of doing one for my patio for the summer qnd and take it inside for the winter
I’m not sure what heavy duty entails. I know a lot of people have been making ponds out of those Oval shaped watering troughs made for livestock with great success
Nice
Can you give link from where i can buy container like this
about the max limit of most plastic bins is about 20 gallons, using the top with cuts in it to serve as a brace. Anything more you'll need rubbermaid bins, simply due to their durability, and they can hold a lot more, but you can't see through them, only from the top. Another saver is getting playsand from hardware stores, which will run you about 8 bucks for a 50 pound bag, and is also sterile. You can mix in organic potting soil as well, layering aquarium gravel at the bottom for stability of a root system, the soil layered, with playsand on top to get a similar aesthetic. Obviously it still is murky, and the potting soil will mix a bit with the sand, but it gives a bit of a pond bottem feel while stll allowing live plants to be put in
I have 4 of these on order. I had ordered gold lasers, but they were out

hello mr neighborhoodman i shall do this and make THE ULTIMATE BUDGET GOLDFISH POND and no one can stop me to prevent the bin from bending i shall solidify it in concrete (or another thing) 👍 its going on my floor that's tile so it should be fine
Panda corys are so cute!
That looks good!
Very creative
Definitely gonna do this
Great review on the rack! Did that rack last?
Nice couple god bless you
What size is that plastic container?
Where did y'all get the shrimp bowl
Where dem fishy boyz????!
I got 6 weekend they are lovely fish to look great going to get another 6 or so then ill breed them later on
Hey, does anyone know if this would be good for neon tetras? Like a very large container for tons of them? Also, will they get caught in the small thin lines in filters, because I used these types of filters for my betta.
Would love to see more container tank vids
Wheres the fish?
Hello, I was cycling it at the time. You can see an updated video posted on my channel!
In the beginning of the video he said to get the lid but at the end of the video he didn’t have a lid on.? Did it bow?
Screw the tank....give us a look around the girlfriend
❤️
Hi Alan, you're cute! And I loved your plastic pond. 🌸
Love your video
Bruh that dog is dead !!!
Wow, this is no joke my dream tank. 😍
Hey, i have the exact same rack as you do how funny.
Nice! I got mine at a hardware store. I found the wood it came with was prone to water damage. I had to cut out solid wood boards to use as the shelves instead. I hope your shelf stays stable and safe! -Alan
I create outdoor container pond, what will happen if i dont use filter ? Or its fine.. Thanks
Hey, Thanks for commenting! So, a pond without a filter IS possible, but it can be a bit more difficult to maintain. IT can be possible with enough pond plants to keep the oxygen levels good and for waste conversion. You'll probably also need some type of aeration device like a bubbler. This will prevent the water from going stagnant where biofilms from oftentimes harmful bacteria can build up on the surface of the water. You'd probably have to also do more water changes as well. If you can get a filter, that would be your best move. Hope that helps - Alan
@@neighborhoodman323 thanks for answer, i think im gonna make some DIY filter using aerator. Thanks anyway
Zena Sound for sure! I made a sponge filter with some PVC and some sponge and some airstones. Best of luck
Update needed!
I haven't had time to record at all. What I can tell you is I decided to move the panda cory's to my 59 gallon thrift store tank! The tub is currently inhabited by snails and orange neocaridina shrimp culls. Sorry to disappoint ya!
This was bada$$! Thanks for the idea! That is beautiful. And I’ll do the lid cut out, love that idea to keep its shape because I want to put fish in mine and will be a deeper tub.
Can you put dwarf frogs in something like this
Graham Bielby definitely. Just make sure you use the lid. You can cut out the inside of the lid for top viewing just make sure the sides are covered so they dont jump out
That's a good and cool a idea
Plz come back
I'm still around! Just a bit busy with life. Thanks for watching =D
How long are you using tank for and what tank type too get thankyou
It's still up! So probably 2 years now. I got it from home depot/lowes. I'm sure you could find this in any hardware store. I've seen it at walmart, too
Ok thank you so much uk
neighborhoodman323 please, we need another update!!!!
Great vid!! Subbed.
Alan I don’t if you’ll ever see this but I’m Andrew, I’m am one of Landon’s friends from Clash of Clans. I hope you do well in med school and when you finally become some kind of doctor or something I hope you’ll remember us and Clash of Clans. Lastly I hope you become UA-cam famous. Hey, Andrew! This was one of the nicest messages I've read in a while. I miss you and Landon and the boyz. I will always remember the fun times I had on clash of clans. I don't have time to play anymore and CWL was too stressful for me haha Would you or landon want my account? I wont be able to use it anymore and would rather it go to a friend
Email me at dangswagger14@gmail.com so i can give you my account info
neighborhoodman323 Thank you so much for the great times we had. Landon doesn’t play CoC much anymore but knowing him he’ll probably start playing again. Despite this Jojo, my brother, and I are still active every day and would be immensely grateful if we had your account. The three of us (Landon, Jojo, and I) would share the account and not fight over it too much 🤣. Sincerely, Andrew

Beautiful set up! I have panda Cory’s myself they are amazing 😎 Giving me great ideas for when I have to bring my fish in from the mini pond after the Summer
Thank you for the kind words! For this specific tub being only max 14 gallons, I actually wouldnt recommend adding the cories in. Although it provides a lot of surface area, they were still too shy and did not thrive IMO. I recently moved them into a 55 gallon tank and they are very spontaneous now! You could use those larger, more structurally sound tubs though! What has your experience been with outdoor ponds? I'm not sure the area I live in is suitable for tropical fish
neighborhoodman323 Cory’s can be pretty shy if they are not in a large enough group and if they don’t have enough plants, driftwood, and rocks to hide behind. The mini pond experience had been beyond amazing! I keep fancy guppies with pepper Cory’s who can handle lower temperatures. The tub is about 40 gallons. I have water hyacinth, and floating anacharis and black lava rocks. I live in the Northeast. Gets pretty hot during the Summer and cooler at night time. I run a heater at night. I’ve been getting beautiful colors out of my guppies breeding during the Summer. I bring the live stock back inside in September. So far it had been a wonderful experience
@@Mr345696 Oh, man. Thanks for sharing. I totally want to do that in the future.
neighborhoodman323 you’re welcome. And what type of substrate did you use? Looks like a mix of play sand and pete gravel?
Frank Fazio I used pool filter sand from a local pool supply store! Usually don’t have to rinse them out much
Can I ask what filter u used Cuz I have the same kind of bin its long in width but small in height and I can never find a filter that fits
I recommend a low laying sponge filter such as this. I ran a hang on back filter and had to cut down the length of the intake and cover it with a sponge. Eventually i took it out because I was tired of the sponge being jammed up with gunk too often. Here is a link to the sponge filter I have :www.chewy.com/hikari-bacto-surge-high-density-foam/dp/183419?Hikari&gclid=Cj0KCQjwrIf3BRD1ARIsAMuugNto2ZyAOT0Dv0SkVXgtd0Mcdve2gov6sd8JQxNYI2K7g0aKzADBjAAaAsV6EALw_wcB

Best video I’ve ever seen no cap
TGG Zephyr haha no way that’s crazy. Appreciate it!
I'm using plastic storage containers and I have problems with bowing and with scratches in the plastic. Gonna try the toothbrush.
I ended up placing the lid frame back on but cut out the middle to reinforce the container from bowing. And yes, try a tooth brush!
6:01 Nice video. Being a small UA-camr is hard but you are doing great. Thumbs Up 👍
