Our blue eyed soul guys from the 60s. These guys were so awesome when they came out in 1964. I was in high school and fell in love with these guys. So many beautiful memories. These guys have a lot of hits you need to listen to. ❤❤❤

Blue-eyed Soul in action. Bobby Hatfield (tenor) passed away in 2003. Bill Medley (baritone) was still performing at the time Covid hit. I'm not sure if he is still performing. He will be 83 in September. Check out "Ebb Tide" and "You'll Never Walk Alone". This song was used in the movie "Top Gun". No auto tunes back then. Pure talent.

Best blue eyed soul duo ever. Check out you'll never walk alone for more of their shared talent or Hung on you which was the A side of the 45 released with Unchained Melody on the B side. Both did solos thank goodness. More of Bobby can be found in My Prayer and Summertime.
They weren't actually brothers ... that was their stage name. Bill Medley, the tall one, is a bass baritone, and Bobby Hatfield sings counter tenor. Their uncanny ability to blend those two totally different voices gave them a sound no other duo could duplicate but they were also both lead singers who could sing solo. They did swap off leads also and sometimes sang straight harmony. The Righteous Brothers were one of the hottest groups in the 1960s and this song, their first #1 hit, was the most-played song of the 20th century... in fact it wasn't overtaken until 2017. It's also listed in the Library of Congress.

Well you’ve heard the great Bobby Hatfield’s Unchained Melody which is great. Sadly Bobby left us in 2003 RIP. You need to hear their #1 song Soul and Inspiration and how about Rock And Roll Heaven which was a tribute song to stars that have passed. It’s wonderful, you and you listeners will love it. Thx
In the 70's they sang asong xalled " Rock 'N' Roll Heaven" which was a great hit for them also, check it out.
They were having difficulty coming up with a name. After a performance, somebody in the audience yelled, "That was righteous, brother." And that's where the name came from.

At one of their shows somebody shouted that's righteous brother and they kept that name if you want to hear Bobby's voice listen to Summertime at that time you had to have a good voice because if you got on stage and didn't you get booed off and your career was over
