    a sea of candles and applause for Simon Keats...i have been saving my pennies and studding...everything makes sense, a mountain of critical decisions all well made... and i can get my power amp sound in font of my compressor, that's something you can't get with an effects loop...pure solid state excellence, thank you Simon and crew for upholding the option..

    I’m enjoying it running into a slightly crunchy amp to get a higher gain sound. It enhances my amp. And kemper and pretty much every amp I use. It’s clear and concise and not muddy in any way. I found it pretty easy to dial in after watching your videos and others etc. I have the standard.

      Using it with a quad cortex now and amp. Kemper gone helix gone. I changed my name on Utube but it’s me from above. Got the halcyon too. Both halcyons.

    The mid boost and clean blend bypass are brilliant features. Very very cleverly conceived and implemented.

      Thanks, Grant! We took many different prototypes out to jam nights and gigs and found that these were really useful features to use live. Much of the time we just used a RevivalDRIVE and Revival Footswitch for a whole set and it covered all of the drive tones we needed!

    @SIMONKEATS These videos are very informative. I've been hoping something like this would be invented for quite a long time. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on one of these as soon as they touch ground here in the US. Just one more idea I have for a pedal in the future.... Cheers!

      @@OriginEffectsUK im wondering why youtube waited so long to introduce me to this company and its products. will this pedal, specifically the compact version slam the front of my Friedman be100 for some more compressed hi gain scorch or is it meant for a clean channel only? im used to using an overdrive like a tube screamer with the amp at medium gain settings using my picking attack and guitar volume to control my sound. sometimes a pedal can have too much drive and you get more of a fuzz tone. hoping this pedal will give me classic rock goodness with access to classic metal without having to turn knobs?

    Hey man your awesome. Just sold my iridium to get one. I run an amp less rig into a cabzeus. Was just wondering if I’ll be able to get any type of fender cleans with this? Maybe with the blend knob and dip switch set still allow the preamp through? I have a benson preamp I guess after it so the dry signal isn’t to sterile. Thanks man

    So, I just bought the custom version of the pedal which was an extra $100 than the regular one. It kinda sucks that the foot-switch is also an extra hundred bucks after that. It's almost like it's either one or the other for people who can't just drop an extra $200... With that being said, I can't wait to get the pedal in a couple of days!

  • @Davo

    Another happy RevivalDRIVE user here...a question. I want to buy the footswitch. It attachs to the pedal in anyway? (I´ve seen photos where it seems to be "locked" to the pedal in the lower side) and if so, in the Custom model where the added eq options are, it doesn´t cover it up, not allowing to manipulate the controls while the footswitch is attached? Thanks!

    What exact value of bright cap are the 3 positions made to work with? I know a blackface Twin is 120pf, and a JTM45 is 100pf. Not sure about a Vox, but a Blackface Deluxe is a 47pf hardwired. I'd love to get the technical low-down on this.

    Hi - I use an old 70's WEM dominator mk3 as my main amp for cleans, i was wondering if the revival drive standard would be appropriate for it as it's similar to a marshall 18 watter? Great pedal by the way, looking forward to trying it out!

    • @OriginEffectsUK
      @OriginEffectsUK  6 років тому

      Hey, Tom. Yes, it should work well with your WEM. I think that the RevivalDRIVE's EQ2 setting will have the right re-amp EQ for this amp.

    Just curious, why did you guys switch to a pro reverb instead of a twin for the valve side??
    Also is it fair to say that simon's favorite speaker is the JBL120F???

    • @OriginEffectsUK
      @OriginEffectsUK  6 років тому +1

      We used the Twin Reverb earlier to show off the ghosting as we found that the Twin ghosts a lot.
      Yes, Simon has quite the collection of JBL120Fs!!

    Such a great pedal! Every detail is there to create a near perfect sound, which is more amp like then any overdrive pedal i've heard sofar! The ghosting, the blend knob, the eq possiblities etc.. incredible!
    Why o why no seperate in/outputs for both sides (like the Wampler Dual Fusion has), in order to be able to switch between the two channels with a pedalswitcher? Or midi?
    It feels a bit like building a perfect car, like a Mercedes 600 S, but don't put electric windows in it.

    • @OriginEffectsUK
      @OriginEffectsUK  6 років тому +1

      Hey, Andre! Thanks for your comment - I'm really happy that you like the tones and features. We've designed it to sound like a vintage tube amp so I'm glad that you're hearing this.
      We'll pay attention to the demand for external channel switching after it's in players' hands and possibly employ it in a future version if possible.

    This thing is insane, but really it just has 1 tone and you can dial it in on a minute level. Pretty crazy

    • @OriginEffectsUK
      @OriginEffectsUK  5 років тому +1

      The restricted range on the controls is there to avoid any bad settings - once you have the REAMP EQ set for your amp, you can go crazy with setting without making it sound dreadful!

    A question to people who own this thing and to Origin Effects: from these videos I hear that ghost thing like a humming tone...is this what actual amps do to? I noticed as a new thing for me: I'm asking just to know if I'm hearing things or because before getting my RevivalDrive I've been using Line6 processors for years and never heard that even with all the simulation options those try to give. Cheers.

      Over on our website under the 'NEWS' section we have a TECH TIPS which goes into what Ghosting is and what causes it.
      Ghosting is something that is unlikely to be present in digitally modelled or even newly designed valve amps. A lost relic of proper vintage amp tech!

    • @daviddorrian5349
      @daviddorrian5349 2 роки тому +1

      In one of the videos between 1 and 4, I can't remember which, maybe they'll reply and tell you. He turns up the old fender amp and gets it ghosting then he matches perfectly with the pedal.
      It's a very unique feature that is there on a amp when cranked that most of us never get loud enough to here. I personally really dislike the sound and for someone like me that likes to do fast country chicken picking and blue grass runs, I find it slows down the snappyness of the sound and just gets in the way BUT It's on a knob so no problem. I appreciate the added attention to detail in the design of the pedal having this in. Maybe for some slower tracks I'll find a use.
      I have experience it before when I used to run my amp on a attenuator, didn't know what it was at the time and found the sound really annoying and thought something was broke or not working properly.
