Toyota ruined the Taco from 2016 on with that God awful grill.
I loved my 2011, but I probably wouldn't buy another Taco after hearing some of the hard blunders in the recent models. My climate control had to be replaced within the first year... IIRC the heater just stopped working for no good reason.

pathfinderLXXIV man I had 06 Taco and I loved that truck. It was good on gas, actually pretty quick and had good towing capacity.. my heater cut out for no reason too.. it was this winter and I couldn’t defrost my windows.. then I had some head gaskets go out and I didn’t want to put the money into fixing it. Everyone in the comment section always crying over over-priced trucks. Everything is getting expensive now. I dont see people crying over 1000dl phones now. These cars sell, so good luck on convincing them to lower the prices like the phones. People buy them phones and trucks (alot), so we wont see those getting cheap anytime soon. A lot of these are also becoming more of a social status, then rather a necesity of needing a truck. A lot of people dont even use them for work or carrying anything.

I can vouch for the 2020 RAM 1500 and agree with the #1 ranking. RAM is MotorTrend's #1 truck brand for 2019 and 2020. I traded in a 2011 F-150 Platinum V6 ecoboost for my 2020 Laramie 5.7L Hemi with eTorque and it has been the best move I have made in years. Lots of competitive improvement in 9 years in all the US brands, and I liked the Platinum but love the RAM 1500. The torquey bottom end, buttery smooth midrange, powerful top end, smooth coil spring ride, quiet cabin, top notch interior, responsive 8.4" screen, aero front end, aluminum in the right places (hood and tailgate), and huge rear cabin make it the best truck for 2020. Got the retractable rear step 82215289AG (AB was recalled), DualLiner bed liner, bench front to seat 6 and dogs, and wheel to wheel side rails. Standard warranty is 3 years 36k bumper to bumper and 5 years 60k powertrain. I got an extended transferable 5 years 100k b2b warranty because of all of the electronics and leery of past reliability. I believe RAM has made a huge quality turn around, build quality is impressive, and I recommend it 100%. Recommend the mid level Laramie trim for the heated front seats and no sun roof if you don't want it.

I have a wife, a 17 year old kid and a 90lbs dog. I am looking to get a pickup truck sometime next year 2020. I have watched your videos to try to see which would fit our needs best. The trouble is most all reviews focus on towing. My situation is a little different. My primary purpose is to haul the family and commute to work daily ( about 60/40 city/freeway) nothing extreme, and only about 50 miles a day round trip). The truck aspect is for the occasional trash haul, or helping someone move, or getting plywood at Home Depot for some project.
With all that being said, I want the most comfortable room, best fuel economy, reliability, safety and price. What is your recommendation?
    Thank you

If quality control is lacking on such basic things, one can only imagine the mechanical issues that are hidden in them. And having to argue with the car dealership about them.

I would stay away from 2000-2012 products after that they managed to get the quality back up. I have been learning many things about trucks n the different ones being sold in america, I am deciding which one I want to buy to pull a enclosed cargo trailer about 20 long n 9 feet high, going to build my trailer home in it
I will be pulling trailer weight total from around 8,000-12,000 pounds ( includes weight of trailer n everything I put in n on it) n wont know exactly until done building trailer home
With the different major truck builders in america many experts say the toyota trucks are the best built n most reliable, now people I know that are some problems n situations to deal with on them n some models, but over all many expert mechanics n drivers say they are the best ones to get
The problems I have with toyota trucks is the big one the tundra doesn’t come in ¾ ton n wont pull 12,000 or more in a safer way keeping at or under 80% of total payload n towing weight
So I got to pick another one or I would of probably got the toyota
With Ford trucks, n dodge, n other major name brands I keep hearing n reading about people talking about different problems with them n some favoring one for personal reasons n some reasons are wise reasons while others are they just love that brand of truck for whatever personal reasons
Also one professional mechanic said now adays they are made more messed up n have their own major n minor issues that are to many for new trucks to have with all the money you pay for it
I also understand that some may be a good design n set up but when they built it some workers messed up on some of the build or they used parts that were not built to good or used not real good material to make it or the part was designed good n material they used was good but you just got a bad one made or some or all of these reasons
I also understand that some trucks are designed good if you get the right size engine n set up n stuff that goes with engine n other parts of the truck n you will get a good truck unless the workers mess up on the build or you might also get a messed up part on it they used
Also one model n year was built n designed really good why some weren’t for that manufacturer n you wont know with the newer ones until some years go by n we get the wisdom on them on what problems there were n what was real good with them
So dealing with all this truck wisdom in the american truck work places it is like gambling buying a new truck, you might lose out on thousands of dollars n gain mass more problems n headaches to deal with by buying a really messed up cursed, designed n built bad truck or you might get real lucky n get a really good designed n built brand new truck
Plus you got to deal with it maybe breaking down n cant fix it right there n got to get it to a mechanic shop to fix n it might be a worse situation to deal with because of some things, like you might be far down a dirt road camping, or you might be on the highway n have your trailer hooked on it, maybe the shop n mechanics want to rip you off
One good thing though about what I have in life is Jesus on my side a lot n will help me out a lot no matter what kind of situation I get into n what people n circumstances n environment I got to deal with, also Jesus gave me mighty wise prayer power to God- this helps a lot if you got a high level of prayer power
I already prayed n going to do more prayers over the truck n trailer n many things to deal with them when things happen, like if it breaks down I pray I can also get real good mechanics to fix it n not rip me off on the price to do it, also getting real good parts to fix it, n more prayers with other things
People if you don’t pray Jesus still helps people out at times who have trailers n rv's, n trucks when you break down or get stuck, n Jesus will use me n others to help you also at times, but it is better if you already covered your vehicle n trailer home in much prayer with many different things
Well let me know what you experts think I should buy truck wise if you can

If you treat your stuff right it'll always function properly. Now, if you milk it on oil changes and all of the things that trucks need replacing after a certain amount of years then you'll start seeing breakdowns.

ln Australia, the ram is the most popular. It is rebuilt for right hand drive & alot of the Chrysler issues are fixed in the process , so they end up being better than the original.Otherwise I just get a Ford. But these trucks are not cheap. Starting at 80k+ aud. 56k usd bace models

My biggest grip about Toyota Tundra is crush testing result. Go check the video of IIHS test. Tundra is one of the most expensive truck in almost every trim, an average optioned tundra is about $45000, but it scored poor in crush testing. Which is worst of its segment. I’m sure it’s reliable and can save some money down the road but it may cost you a foot. I just can’t believe in the year of 2020 , a $50000 truck has a poor safety rating.

How about best HD best Mid size plus this one then compare the winners in each category. Plus best is kind of subjective. My Gen 1 Raptor is always going to be the best it's the late 50s corvette late 60s Camero mid 60s split window mustang version of trucks. Talking about engines nothing better the the first start up of the day with the 6.2 Raptor NOTHING BETTER. Never will get rid of it!!! If I'm sad in the middle of the night I go out and start my truck and everything is GOOD.

Hey Ben, Unfortunately, you sound and are very bias. FYI, the 2020 Nissan Titan has had a substantial transmission upgrade. You didn't mention that in your review. Nor did you mention the technological improvements and interior redesign options for 2020. Obviously, didn't do your homework. Why? Go back to my first sentence.
If your going to review trucks take the time to do the research. You give a nice oral presentation and your formats in previous reviews are well done, But, you need to improve your game to be taken seriously, Just a suggestion. And, that is the reason I passed on subscribing Good luck, sincerely
