Hello Lone Fox Fam, I want to let everybody know that I have removed the mirror project from this video as it is an original design from the talented @lottablobs. I get quite a few messages and sometimes they do not have a proper credit. I just assumed this was a trending mirror style that I too have seen across tiktok and Pinterest as of lately. Loved the lamp shade 💕, but was it just me that thought using sushi bamboo rolling mats might have been easier? 🤷♀️

i am literally screaming inside. i made a similar DIY lamp and didn’t even think of a sushi mat and i feel so stupid.

5:50 I’ve made some of these last year by literally just cutting out moons from (stiff) cardboard, painting them and taping/gluing them to a piece of chord 💀 It was super easy and looked great! The one in the vid would feel and look more expensive up close though, but if you don’t have clay or wire, this is a good alternative :)

The lamp!!!!! I have those horrid "boob" light fixtures and need to figure out a way to replace them all to go with my style, but as inexpensively as possible.
The lamp turned out better than the original, and I love it. 👌❤️
I like the marble bookend. Simple. So many materials can be used as the wrap and then scraps of wood. So easy!!!

Using a pet nail clipper will leave you with a much smoother edge. I've used them on bamboo skewers with no problem but you might want to try them on thicker dowels.

Love how you handled the mirror situation..wish I could subscribe to you twice lol..my faves are the bookends n the lamp.. bookend was a very easy one n I wasn't too excited abt it tbh but I legit wud have never thought off the top of my head to use wood blocks as the base material..takes a creative mind to actually be able to quickly identify materials that one can use

just based on the view of the marble contact paper on camera, it’s actually incredibly realistic. i’ve seen marble identical to that with the cooler blue undertones in the white and the warm pinks and yellows. before you said anything, my mouth kind of dropped because it looked so real. I’m about to DIY some stuff in the house I’m moving into before we do actual remodel and i need some of this paper 😂

They all looked so great. But favorite is definitely the lamp. The raffia cord gave the dowels a really great finish vs just hot glue only. Great job ☺️

You can use 18" paint paddle sticks, leftover 1/2" wood for the ends, size depends on how large you want your box. I glue and brad nail, paint and you have "mini" crates for everything:)......I'm thinking a bamboo wastepaper basket would make a great light too.

Whoa the commitment to that lampshade!!! It looks amazing! Just wanted to give a little tip: perhaps it would have helped to use a weaving needle (you know the ones that come with a loom) to thread the raffia paper!
