A day in a life of a coder without gym...extravagant breakfast....buffet and friday night party. Thanks for making us feel normal :D
I'm no software engineer, but I was starting to get pissed watching such videos. This one is a pleasant exception
The gym isn't normal?
Go to the gym boys! You will be grateful in the future 😬
@@mikeb4471 This! Coding for 8-9 hours a day is bad for your health, even worse if you dont gym or similar.
no one should spend that much time in front of a pc without exercising tbh
It feels like it's a healthy workspace.
It's like a fairytale. So pretty man😭😭😭
London baby!
A rare video that of the type that I see a real man do his thing, focused on his work, has a style, I seem to enjoy it. Thanks a lot!
You welcome bro
Respect for all of your work but when i saw jummah part i was happy masAllah my brother !
brk ahki
Respect brother, please can you send me en private java language configuration .
MashaAllah, that made soo happy aswell. May Allah provide barakah in your life, Ameen
Salam alaikum akhi

This is exactly what I want in engineering. A lot of human interaction. I think we all can agree on we’ll get burnt out faster just doing this ourselves.
The perks of working in a small company. Avoid large organizations like the plaque if you value your mental health.
@@beastyshout And how is the female to male ratio? 😁 I see myself or any other male sleeping with a coworker and is it against the rules to have a relationship with a coworker?
@@beastyshout Didn’t he say he works at UBS? Not exactly a small company
@@polikesa you're gross. You're there to work not pickup chicks. This is why we have poor diversity in STEM, women can't just go to work without some creeper trying to get with them...

i like how he included him asking his colleagues, as someone who is new to the corporate world this has inspired me to ask and still be confident with my skills and abilities. Thanks bro!
MashaAllah! Great job brother! I'm a software engineer myself and practise my deen to the best of my ability and you have inspired me more! Thanks for this. May Allah reward you. :) Also subscribed definitely!

@HT-ye3py Late reply, but you can shake hands with for example your sister, mother, daughter, and cousins etc. But not strangers(women) because they are non mahrams. You can read about it more on IslamQA
Alhamdhullillah nice to see a brother as a software Engineer. With such a genuine vlog .
It’s great to see someone from London making these videos, we need more people like you. 👍🏿
Thank you. More are coming ...
I’m a Software engineer and watching this was so therapeutic. Thanks for sharing 👍🏾🙏🏾👊🏾

One of my dreams is to work in London as a software engineer thank you for this video, it’s a motivation ❤️

really love how you talked about what you do and even showed u working and stuff instead of just like eating for have the video like a lot of the software engineering videos - was also really nice how u showed the other stuff u do during work like praying and such - really nice vid :]
Thanks really appreciate you comment
I felt like im there with you. just started a Job from Regional tech to Manual software testing and currently watching your videos self studying to be a Automated Tester. Step by step im getting there. Thanks Nelson.
Asalamualikum brother, beautiful to see a brother not hold back on their youtube videos on their religion. I really appreciate you including your prayer and showing people how beautiful Islam is. Salamu alkiumu brother
yes man, so proud of amigoscode
Good to see more of us writing software for a living 👊🏿
👊🏿
I am software engineer also, but I work in france.
When I saw that you can to pray in your work, I laughed with sadness because in France its an unrealistic dream...
Hope I can visit you someday inchaAllah. I m already going to London but if I could meet craftsman developers there it would be better
Me too as software engineer en moslim also, I had never a problem to pray at work or going to mosk and then come back to work. You can come here in the Netherlands or move to Belguim.
nice to see London software engineer instead of our usual American cousins
hahahah you are funny
Your colleagues are SO SO SO polite and friendly.
Exactly the opposite than the Israeli 🇮🇱 colleagues here, they are nightmares to work with 😔😔
Super rude super arrogant and some are raciest specially to Arabs 🙁
お拖把茶 If that’s the case that’s sad. You would think those prosecuted against during the Second World War would be more accommodating
@@amasha88 Well, that's sad. Hope you find a better place to work.

that's too common so it's boring to show in a video

14mins of my code doesn't work and then figuring out it was that setting you turned on a few weeks ago because you were curious about what it does.

the diversity and friendly interactions in this video was beautiful to see!
Okay, so Software engineer:
- speaking to different people about random stuff
- having a laugh
- eating and drinking
- praying
- playing ping pong
- looking at your computer with smart face
Got it.
anything else?
Considering he works for a bank, I appreciate the fact that he was able to give some snippet of work life. Not a lot of people have insight into the day-to-day, and may get the wrong idea about atories they hear. Also, big up for his colleagues being so open to taking part.
Lmao, right? XD
Soft skills - emotional intelligence, getting on with colleagues etc.
retsmod he doesn’t work for a bank they wouldn’t let him film this. He said Starling not Sterling. But this video is dope..
That’s a lot of human interaction
this was posted in january 2020 no one was talking about corona back then
Way too much,,so unrealistic
Im thinking of being a programmer do i have to interact this much or can i just code all day
@@jonathan-3008 yes, except you wanna do your own business you will have to interact with people more than in almost every other job field, you will have presentations, morning meetings about progress, sharing your thoughts and supervisors watching your work as it hits the deadlines etc.
and trust me, its better this way as you realize coding is incredibly boring and a very tedious, stressful process
@@jonathan-3008most jobs require human interaction and working together in a team. You can't just code all day.
I pray whoever reads this will be successful, keep fighting for success, them rich stay rich by spending like the poor and investing why the poor stay poor be spending like the rich yet not investing, Roar!! Invest, earn and be successful.

@@robertharton6237 yes that true.

I'm 14 and I just need 1 more year to start with programming(I'm in 9th grade right now), even tho this is software engineer is always good to watch beacuse it makes me feel less worried about learning tech, I know it will be hard but if i really want i will have to work harder than ever. I'm starting with HTML and css beacuse I'm thinking of making an website where people can share their experience with something, it's kinda like I diary but public so it can help other people. I want to make it "futuristic" not like quora, reddit, etc.. I wanna make it my way and in a modern way, thank you for sharing this, might aswell check your website. stay safe yall
So this is the "other" side of London :)! The real side might I add. Salaam to you brotha, excellent content and more success to you.

I miss London so much, I am currently working in indonesia as a data scientist
Great video. Interesting to observe the social atmosphere there. Still, i'm glad software development is a hobby for me as i'd rather be with a spanner in amongst the oily, noisy machines in the factory here. Don't think i could deal too well with the close daily interactions would probably blow a fuse haha. Cheers for the vid man :)
By watching this video you made me want to strive for a Software Engineer role. I'll be studying in the UK next year for my masters in Computer/Data Science. I'm starting to learn coding slowly.

Amigoscode Salam bro I’m trying to get into coding what route did did you take in order to become a software engineer. Uni apprenticeship or boot camps
@@abz8170 Obviously not OP. But i have experience in this so i did self taught took me about a year. If you need guidance i would say bootcamp but they can be very expensive. Plus very fast paced i dont think personally you can become a good engineer in 14 weeks, some stuff will fly over you. And Uni is outdated tbh plus takes a very long time. But then getting a CS degree could be good.
Amigoscode can you pls reply
@Superb ASMR It's not about respect or not , it wouldnt let you concentrate on ur prayer
i watched this video 4 years ago, from that day i decided this is something i wanted to do.
