I'm with you guys... I will NOT be able to have even one cheat day. Have to give up my beer as well. All it takes is two beers and before I know it I'm about 60 bucks in the hole with door dash. I was doing so good but have gained my whole 60lbs back. Very upset with myself. But I'm back on the carnivore path. Glad this video showed up on my feed. Thank you guys!

Your channel is top tier on the carnivore UA-cam streets. I need to quit cheese totally. I began carnivore because fibro and arthritis were stealing my life. Been a cheese addict all my life quit several times. Time to pull over and throw oyut the cheese.

I've been up and down but primarily keto for years. Recently I couldn't stay consistent, over eating, eating late at night, struggling! I was watching one of your videos and commented about my struggle. You asked "How bad do you want it" and I contemplated that question and I have been on track for 2 weeks and going strong. I love your open and honest approach on your channel. You definitely have inspired me. Thank you so much.

Joyce that is the best news I've heard all day! I'm so happy to hear you are staying strong! This really is the way! It's been a road, for sure bumps, potholes and the whole 9 yards. You may experience some bumps, however it's smoother sailing once the road has been repaired. Take it one day at a time, and don't stop. I look forward to learning of your results as we go❤️ Thanks for becoming a member👍🔥🥰😘

Mine would be stay on top of your labs. I followed through after a year stall then weight and inches gained. Doc ordered not only a complete thyroid panel but, thanks to Dr Berry, I pushed for antibodies to be checked. I had severe Hashimoto's. Been tweaking the Armour thyroid replacement this past year and I'm almost at optimal levels. I would highly suggest ordering Dr Berry's common sense lab book. Not only covers the normal levels but optimal lab values.

Thanks for another video... I am so glad to see you two doing well. All I can say is that the last 16-day water fast I was on, two years ago, I lost 15 pounds and kept it off to this day. I had no extra cravings after and I have not lost a pound since on Carnivore... so, what is true for one is just not true for another. I would fast again, but I just can't work when I do an extended fast and I have to work every day... Extended fast is the absolute only way my body loses any weight at all. I am eating beef, lamb and occasionally chicken with Redman's real salt.

Great vlog as usual Cassie and Larry! I always learn something and laugh some and just enjoy the heck out of your vlogs! Ugh! I have made all 7 mistakes! I mean learning experiences you point out here. I started Carnivore last July 3rd after watching a few of your vlogs. You really inspired me to go for it. And I have lost 98 pounds. Which is amazing! I follow a more Ketovore way of eating some days and Carnivore most days. That seemed to be the best way for me to avoid real cheat meals. However I have been in a stall for the past month or so. I think I have been under eating, and as you mentioned, not on purpose. I also have been consuming too much cheese…I am going to try to up my calories and cut the cheese…hahaha! I still have about 50 pounds to go. But I am sticking with it regardless of stalls. Thanks you two!❤

I am carnivore and I feel incredibly healthy at 58 years old.
My wife is carnivore as well which helps and we both swim for 1 hour most days.
Like you I was not really a fan of exercise, but now my day is incomplete without a swim.
I also can not restrict myself and the strict no cheat discipline fits my mindset perfectly.

I'm glad you mentioned the extended fast not working for you. I could tell it hit Cassie really hard. She was not the same Cassie after breaking it, while you were still doing it, Larry. I could see it hit you hard, too. It looked, to me, like Cassie was hit a lot harder by it. Extended fasting might be fine for you, but you might have to work up to it. Much love, you two!

I’m so glad I found your channel tonight ! After watching this video I immediately subscribed !. My husband and I are working hard to lose weight on the carnivore diet. My husband is not completely carnivore he will have a little vegetable here and there but for the most part he is carnivore. I am I’m not eating any veggies right now.
But all those mistakes you shared , we could relate to many of them . We have never fasted. Just a little intermittent fasting once in a while but after hearing what you had to say about thyroid I won’t be doing that anymore although I haven’t done it yet this time around we’ve been back on for a few weeks but we were on for a while and then fell completely off and so now we’re back on and are determined that we’re going to stay on this permanently . So many of those mistakes we can relate to ! Dairy , cheese especially has always been a huge issue for both of us. I’m sure that’s why we got frustrated from not losing is we were eating way too much cheese ! I knew I had to give it up because it was causing me to get eczema on my face that went away when I didn’t eat the cheese or dairy. So when I forced myself off of it my husband stopped eating it too ! So we’re both staying away from dairy .I won’t lie and say we’ve not had any we’ve had a taste here and there but a far cry from eating at least 2 ounces every day usually in slices. We like to make egg McMuffin’s without the buns, so we have egg and cheese and sausage. Now that might be the only time we ever have cheese if on a special day we decide we’re going to do that but that will be very rare. Dairy is not our friend and we do not lose on it! I just have to stay away from it because I don’t like having my face break out. So for the most part we’re done with cheese and I think we’re pretty much at peace with it. It was hard because it was one of our favorite snacks.
Thanks for sharing these mistakes it really did help hearing about what you went through and gives me a lot of encouragement that we’re making better decisions this time.

I think one of the reasons your community is so supportive and connected is that you are so real!! Gosh, this is a terrific list and I totally agree. I’m like Larry with the all-nighters (at least I used to be… no more). And I can’t cheat. I knew from a young age that I couldn’t have sweets in the house… I would eat them all at once!!! As an adult I would just get a sweet at a cafe to keep it out of the house. But that gets expensive and soon you’re at the cafe every day!! Another thing that shocks me since I’ve always loved cooking with herbs and spices and I love hot sauce… I now realize that all those things trigger me to want to eat more. It’s complicated for each of us and I hope that there is healing so one day we can do moderation. But for now it’s better to be honest with what supports us to achieving our health goals. You both seem very happy and look so healthy💚 Thank you so much for creating all your wonderful videos and for creating this awesome community!!!

I'm still struggling with consistency. I eat a few carbs each wk & think "but this is so much better than when I was eating the SAD diet most of my life, following all the crazy, wrong advice of "experts" in nutrition. Or when I first started keto & could make a keto dessert 1-2 times/wk & still lose slow & steady. It's not that way now, apparently, 'cause I've been stalled (i.e. slowly gaining) for 5 yrs, but I refuse to go back to "normal" eating. I've been trying to get more walking in, when I can get my disabled son to go for a walk with me. This isn't easy, but I know how great I felt & I want that back. I appreciate your motto about "no carbs, no cheating" & the way you encourage me. I'm taking your mistakes list & making some changes. Thank you!

There is a segment in our last live with doctor Chaffee where he explains why higher carb intake and zero carb is better than low carb?!? Go figure. I couldn't tell you where in the stream but he has some interesting points. We know how hard it is, but look at it this way, you've done amazing for 5 years, now you just need to tighten it back up. You got this!

Great advice. Especially the one about reading labels. They sneak a lot of garbage in our food. Once you start to read labels you'll put 90% or more of products back on the shelf at the store. It really shocked me when I read that dextrose is an ingredient in the iodized sea salt I had in my cupboard.
I struggle most with getting enough sleep and not exercising as much in the summer. (Not a fan of the heat)
The one other mistake I'd add is weighing yourself too often. The scale is NOT our friend. You can have weeks where you are eating perfectly & the scale doesn't budge. I firmly believe it is better to weigh oneself less often. Instead, think about what you have eaten all day and whether you ate to nourish your body or ate/snacked mindlessly. Love you guys!💖

And you will feel better I know if you keep to a schedule and get that sleep.nit truly is vital to optimal function! All living things thrive on a schedule and good sleep. Notice other animals, birds, their life has rhythm! Add dance breaks when indoors! Crank up a song or two and give it a go around the house and laugh at yourself! Love you guys! Thanks for the video.

One other big mistake is taking anything with sweetener while in the weight loss stage. It’s not just about making sure your blood sugar doesn’t rise and testing it but it’s about waking up a hormone in your brain. When you take something that tastes sweet later you will find yourself (just like with using dairy) having cravings and that feeling of having a taste for some thing. It’s a very serious problem and leads to a relapse. I have boxes of LMNT that I am saving for maintenance. For now I will use the unflavored. Started my 8th month of Carnivore and barely require an electrolyte. Only sometimes if my workout is an extreme. Great video great advice. You both look terrific.

I applaud the two of you doing carnivore together. I didn't do carnivore necessarily to lose weight but I started to get off my 4 medications two of which are for high blood pressure plus a statin and aspirin. I've been on it for at least 2 months losing 25lbs. I don't fast usually or purposefully fast but I usually eat two meals a day, I don't keep up. I'm at 214lbs from 230lbs when I started. But I've been as heavy as 280lbs. My goal is to be at 180lbs. One pound at a time. But my goal is to be off of meds. I'm 65 years old and I want to be around to watch my grandkids grow up. I this will be my ticket.

Love these words of wisdom. Love the wedding ring "indicator" for what works and doesn't work food wise. My question is...Do you eat ANY kind of veggies??? I have not stopped the cucumber or celery with cream cheese. For me these foods really satisfy my crunch cravings and the cream cheese satisfies my desire for rich foods. Agreed, heavy cream is not our friend. Tried it, dropped it. Great channel. Thank you!!

Glad I listened to this mistake thing. I’m trying to be a 100% carnivore but there are some similar mistakes that stalled me in my way of getting the best results. I started carnivore diet in February 23, first 2-3 months I lost 23 lb , and I stopped losing. I was very upset about and started eating some strawberries from my garden and then tomatoes, cucumbers and onions as a salad beside meat. They taste very good and I added some cheese to my salad and eggs because cheese is very tasty. I’m not a fan of coffee but I thought it is a good addition for my diet with some half and half, so slowly I made all of this addition and in top of this I don’t like to exercise in porpoise. I’m a caregiver for my mom 89 years old and another mentally challenged lady, and I thought I do enough walking. I’m very disappointed that in the last 2-3 months I haven’t lost any weight, I even put on 2-3 pounds. I don’t know how to work this out. I never went back to the unhealthy lifestyle way of eating, no sugar no processed foods and yet I’m stoked here.
Maybe I should go to simple carnivore diet and see if it works.
I’m glad that you guys figured out. My husband doesn’t encourage me on this stuff. It’s encouraging to see your walk through this journey.

Thank you for this wonderfully informative video. One thing that has helped me when I thought I was stalling is keeping track of body fat verses muscle gain. Example: Last week the scale did not move at 2 week weight in. However body fat measurements showed 2 lbs of fat loss 2 lbs muscle gained in 2 weeks. At 61 that is fantastic muscle gain for a woman. I do work out 5 days a week 35-40 minutes lifting heavy. Some jogging for short spurts 2 times a week. Never have I had such great results changing my body in the direction of better health and physique as I have on the Carnivore Diet. Not quite half way to my goals but encouraged.

Howdy, Friends!! Thanks for the tips! My wife and I are preparing to launch the Carnivore Diet into our lives shortly. My blood pressure is currently 180 over 111, so I’m seeing my dr tomorrow about increasing my BP medication dosage to bring it down to a reasonable level before we begin the diet. We already bought a freezer full of meat from a local farm to prepare ourselves. One crucial error that I recently made was covered in your video; for the past two weeks I’ve been buying the True Value electrolyte powder packets from Walmart. I assumed they were safe because of the sugar free stamp on the front of the box, but my lovely wife read the back of the box yesterday and discovered that I’ve been duped! From now on, I’m going to read ingredient labels before I purchase and consume items. Thanks again for your advice 👍!!
