I don't understand this "patina" culture. Patina on sheet metal means rust and rust means degradation of structure and preserving rust is guaranteeing that the car will be junk. Maybe I should open a business destroying paint jobs and scratching chrome and stainless steel and applying salt baths with a towel to make patina. Sounds like a plan to make money with limited resources. There would be takers (alias fools and their money).
Will give you a tip. Old paint grows organic material. To get it to clean up faster always start with a bleach wash. Liquid pool shock 25% to 75 water in a pump up sprayer will kill organics and it wash away easy. Cover and let dwell fifteen minutes before the wash. That cuts down on the hand scrubbing a ton. I usually go with a lighter pad than the green and only look to knock of texture. So to touch instead of looks. I know I am never panting mine so the change is gonna be more gradual. I also don't do the comet part. I scrub mine a couple times a year to keep her looking like a loved old truck.
I like it a lot! Thank you for giving us a demonstration. OMG, Ha Ha had to edit my comment loved the dust test. That completely caught me off guard! I read VGG's reply and was thinking cool deal then boom you prove it true. Oh and the music choice top notch in my book as well! Good job!
I have been using DeOxit 5 electronics cleaner a on stuff that's oxidized. Including finished wood surfaces. Just about anything. The key is to put it on a clean, dry cloth, and let it evaporate out some so the cloth is damp, not wet, Then use the DeOxit 5 dampened cloth to rub on whatever you want to look like new. Works great on metals, but I find it really works on about anything.
I just realized that used to be Derek's old ramp truck. The secret ingredient is Derek's "back crack waterfall sweat" in the used t-shirt application rags...lol. 🤣 New subscriber. 👍
Then you would run more grit from the rust and you’d still need the Shine juice to protect the rust. Derek has done several really patina on his Chan el and they always look better and have some protection from the elements. A fella only has so much indoor storage. .
@@markbove5052 thanks for the feed back. Check out the last released video titled “1979 c20 revival part 2” I changed to a mono input. I’m hoping that fixed the problem
Well, let’s look at the 51 Buick in this video. If we want to put a good paint job on the car we would start with fixing the rust on the body and the dent on the door, then get the holes in the floor pans and trunk fixed. After it’s painted now you’re going to need the Crome redone. And replace the glass. After that you need the interior to look as good as the outside. So now you have to reupholster the entire car and replace the headliner. So pretty much do you have a choice on spending $55 for shine juice or $20,000 to restore your car.
I watched it before making this video. As of this point, it’s been four weeks since I applied the shine juice and there is absolutely zero problems and it still looks good.
Looks great! Unlike other patina products, Vice Grip Garage Shine Juice dries to a non sticky finish and will NOT attract dirt or dust.
I bet you say that to all the Shine Juice Youtubians😆
Before I was married, I attracted a lot of trash.
@@shanelamkie4755 true words. Lol
The armour all for car bodies!!😎
Over here in Europe we have Owatrol, has about the same ingredients and yes, it also dries to a non stick finish.

Patina culture is because not everyone wants to put thousands into a fun weekend car.
Cry more please.

That shine juice did a great job. That is a pretty green. The dash looks great too

I am SOLD! Buying MANY bottles
Kind of looks like Vice Grip Garages Oil changes in a newer bottle lol. No it looks great and has a great look to it. Great product.
I can't believe you put dirt on your patina
😆🤣
Shine Juice seems to work real nice to bring out some poppin' fresh eyeball action on a cool old rig!
Lemon pledge does the same thing absolutely awsome on flat paint
Easy to make the juice boiled linseed oil and mineral spirits
YOU COULD USE A LIGHT GRIT RUBBING COMPOUND AND GET A BEAUTIFUL SHINE ON YOUR BUICK ITS ALOT OF WORK BUT WORTH IT IN THE LONG RUN
Then you would run more grit from the rust and you’d still need the Shine juice to protect the rust. Derek has done several really patina on his Chan el and they always look better and have some protection from the elements. A fella only has so much indoor storage. .
13:15 Iron Maiden fan huh? I like some of their stuff.
I just use the boiled linseed oil and mineral spirits, looks good on my patina rigs. A fraction of the price too.
That's what Vise Grip has shown on his videos for years and with a dash of Penetrating Oil !! I see you watched his videos Lol 😎
Excellent car, and the Shine Juice makes it pop.
Good test Chuck. Works for it’s intended purpose.
Turned out really nice. Makes it pop now. 👍
Great idea for a video, looks great too!
Examples of complementary color combinations are: Red and green; yellow and purple; orange and blue; green and magenta.
That torn up shirt will be worth money someday! Remember Elvis clothing? Well that shirt has Derek sweat on it! LOL!
Looks awesome!
Nice car. Seems that particular model Buick has grown in popularity lately.
I like sandwiches! Roast beef on rye with mustard.
Ah ! A third gen Camaro in the back. Hat's off good sir...
Already getting wok out of the ramp truck! make it earn its keep! LOL
Love the green and mix of colors
Get a product called "color back" if they still make it.
This car would make a beautiful gasser.
Twenty Years? What about the other 42?
Thanks cool thanks
You're welcome!
That '72 Ninety Eight 👀👀👀
Nice stuff. I wonder how it would work on powdered coated surfaces. And So Much for the “Dust Theory”!
Not sure it would be great on powder coated stuff or clear coat.
best green and patina ever but i bet regular motor oil will do the trick
Attracts dust. Even WD-40 does.
Looks really good! Thanks for the demo!
No problem!
Audio quality is poor. Thanks.
Please specify, so it can be corrected for next video

Ain't bad for that old beater.
The car looks great
i love Buick's
Ever thought about a Cummins swap for the hauler?
If I could get it for the right price
I'm sold! Going to have to get some of this stuff now.
It's So good!
patina is great but why not a good paint job?

I believe you are having sound issues cause it keeps cutting out and can't hear you throughout the video..might need you to check that out
Sorry about that
I've noticed the same on alotnof his videos. Great videos but I think it's time for a new mic.
No sh*t.
Go look at what it did to Low Buck Garage's vehicle, if you actually car about your vehicle you don't want to use this.
I watched it before making this video. As of this point, it’s been four weeks since I applied the shine juice and there is absolutely zero problems and it still looks good.
Keep the great videos coming Chuck. Love your stuff.
Thanks, will do!
I'm guessing it's boiled linseed oil and mineral spirits, which is pretty cheap stuff.
Is this the STUFF car auction houses put on all the auction cars and engines ?
We use to call it Pig Juice
20 years back or so TV ad had "It's like a paint job in a can" . Seems like it's just oiling the paint. Looks good though.
Snake oil.
