Hey Danial, i have a really good iem ( simgot ew 200 ). I want to connect it to the ps5 without connecting it to the controller so that i can get good audio quality and lower latency! Please mention some tips! Here in this video you said Analog to USB adaptor given with Inzone H3. Does it work with regular 3.5mm earphones?
So I'm still confused.. Couple questions, you recommended me to this video about Bluetooth being faster than Aux. Are these the results for all headphones? I have Steel Series Nova 7P Also from 3:31 to 3:51 I don't understand what you mean. I'm not familiar with going this route but you're saying that it can be as low as 10ms but then you said you wouldn't recommend it that it's not significant enough?
Hello again, the Wi-Fi stick of Pulse 3D has that delay, not every headset, but the Controller Delay stays the same for all headphones as we measured the delay from the port and not the final output. your headset has Latency - Dongle - 29 ms based on Rtings .com test, so it's faster with its dongle instead of Controller AUX.
Great vid. Thanks for the info. My kind of topic. Question; are we sure the controller/headset are using the wired connection to the console for data (i.e. audio) when they are plugged in? I ask as i recall Xbox One controllers will keep using their wireless connection even if plugged into the console. In this case the wire is used just for power. Only wired-only third party xbox controllers seem to use the cable for data and power. However, that's last gen Xbox, not current gen PlayStation, so not sure if the same thing is happening. Cheers!
Hi, thanks, by default it keeps Bluetooth, but once you go to the PS5 Settings and change the method to use a USB cable, it'll turn Bluetooth off, and there will be a USB icon next to the controller; buttons input are much faster and response time is better. However, the audio is also being routed by the cable, and it still has a delay (It can be due to some decoding on the controller). If you disconnect the cable, the controller will be off. The new PS4 Controller can also use Cable for communication, but for some reason, they have a higher delay with cable. Older PS4 controllers can't use USB. All PS5 controllers can use USB, and the delay is around 1-4ms with the cable.
Which adapter? I didn't understand. if you mean USB adapter to controller, why would you do that when you can connect to PS5? if you want to use it on Phone, you can use USB OTG cable as shown on this video: ua-cam.com/video/5DNDFfaAYBE/v-deo.html
@@DanielZH I want to connect the headphones to an external speaker but it doesn't have a usb only a 3.5mm headphone jack so was wondering if that was possible?
@@LiamDalley27 no typically it won't work that way, only with USB interfaces like PC, phone and console, I'm not sure if that works unless you get an AUX sound card with USB input that supports Pulse 3D Stick (which is very rare)
I wonder these things. Audio delay is so annoying, xbox is the worst!! My soundbar doesn't have and audio in and my tv definitely shaves some ms off the audio. I've been experimenting with an audio extractor. Next setup I'm getting a receiver. thanks for your videos. The dual sense edge video was really helpful.
I have this problem, I use the logitech go pro headphones and when I connect the ps5slim backwards via usb and I have the volume at max, it's not super loud at all, and when I plug in the pad, if I have the slider at half, it's loud, but under usb I have an adapter, e.g. for the microphone, so that it mutes the sounds in the background, when I connect the pad, then I don't have the settings on the adapter and I want it to be connected under usb can you help what to do about it?
Great video and really well explained! I have a question though. I want to connect the pulse 3d directly to the ps5. Which adapter should I choose, jack to usb A or C? And I was wondering if there are different types of jacks (like stereo or something) and adapters to improve the quality and reduce delay
Hi thanks, there are USB to AUX sound cards for this but the quality really depends on the brand, good ones could be up to $100 with multiple output, cheap ones wouldn't sound good, the USB-A (USB 2) is good enough for that too.
Thanks, Pulse only have 5 band EQ which isn't enough, if Astro offers an app with more bands and is able to apply the EQ, then it's better for now. I use my capture card to get the audio on PC (direct but maybe 2ms delay) Then I can apply anything I like with the app APO
@@DanielZH I've tested it too. very low delay which is good but bad quality because the 3D Sound function for headphone is not accessible. there is a work around to turn on the TV 3D function because the PS5 thinks it is connected to a TV and the sound quality was top. however some sound will be still going to the built in controller speaker like team mate chats. it is a good idea if you are using one monitor with multiple devices so you don't unplug the AUX to put it in another device. again if you don't care about hearing team mates and don't care about some other games that uses controller speaker feature. bottom end. Bluetooth connection using a usb 5.3 Bluetooth chip sucks alot and I'm using AUX from Controller which is connected with PS5 Bluetooth to Headphone jack and absolutely no delay. no need for cable connection from PS5 to Controller. Thank you for the very interesting Video! keep going 👍🏼
@@MohammedAldawsari7 about chat, you can connect an aux cable to the controller the. Switch output to HDMI, this way chat audio also plays through monitor

Great video! This is the kind of testing I always look for. You tried all possibilities except one... 3.5mm to PSVR headset!
Glad you liked it! I don't have a PSVR yet haha.

Brother if i had lost the dogle its possible somehow the ps5 recognise the pulse 3d headset?
Whats better for audio usb or type c on the ps5
For lower delay, a wired USB-C Headphone, for Pulse 3D, USB Stick is the best choice.

If i buy adapter aux to usb those it work for ps5 cause i have loose on my ps5 controller
You need an adapter (sound card) compatible with PS5. there are cheap and expensive models depending on the quality you need.
