Great video man! Yeah, I LOVE the Elites way more than my 3D’s. However, my Elites have disconnected on me three times now, which is a known issue, right? That’s the only gripe I have but other than that the comfort, sound, and functionality with the duelsense edge is an upgrade for sure.
Best headphones at 150, only ones I could see being better is the maxwells and or Astro 850x. But using the elites along with the dual sense edge makes these even better for the ps5
@@XVNRX They junk. They lightweight cheap plastic all around except the ear ups which are heavy. So they pull down on your ears. And the head strap doesn’t have enough tension to hold it tight. So every time you move your head it slides around. And most people with these and the pulse explorer have major issues with staying connected to the console. Not to mention they are pretty much useless with PSVR2

Shitty thing though, where I live they charge way more due to import :( so it's more like $142 and $200... Sucks but there is no really other option, if I ship it myself, the price ain't that different
The Playsation portal was a huge miss in my opinion. PlayStation link is another miss. Playsation just needs to allow regular ass Bluetooth devices without having to connect a USB. Back to the portal, it should have been able to play it's own games without relying on connectivity to the PS5

I own both the pulse elites and explores, and I don't think it just me but the explores seem to have more bass, and the elites seem to be a tad louder, but I'm not sure I'm going to keep both since I game a lot in vr and the elites are amazing, but I'm really impressed by what Sony has done with their earbuds.
I'm weirded out that some people actually bought playstation portal? I guess it's good if your household only has one TV but otherwise i see no use for it. Btw disconnect issues were fixed completely for me having USB hub with it's own power, i plugged it behind ps5 and plugged Playstation USB link(the USB thing that comes with the headset) to the hub and no connection issues sense and i have like 30-50 hours playtime.
My Pulse Elite works great. All these Cry Baby’s complaining about connection issues, if you do your research you will see it’s because of the Heat at the back of the PlayStation causing the Dongle to go Wacky. All you have to do is connect the Dongle at the front with A USB-C Adapter or just get A USB Hub to plug in the back then plug Dongle to that. Either one is like $10. And as far as the Bass, this is for Gaming, what you need A lot of Bass For? I don’t need do Damn Bass playing Shooter, I wanna hear the Opponent Movements. I Love this Headset, it’s Amazing. You just gotta do your Research and have Common Sense.

The pulse elite in my opinion is trash. I’ve had the Audeze Penrose X and now have the Audeze Maxwell. I also had the original pulse. The new pulse elites have no bottom end, no body or bass, even though they were a colab between Audeze and Sony, the headset sounds Terrible, shouts, shrill and flat. The regular pulse actually has way better body and low end/bass. I returned my pulse elites as they are terrible.

I purchased the elites and the pulse explore earbuds, and I feel that the explore definitely have more bass than the elites, which was very shocking to me. Don't get me wrong I do enjoy the elites but I might be returning them because of the portability and overall sound of the earbuds.

The thing that people have to realize about the earbuds that Sony doesn't tell you is that if you don't wear them properly and you don't have the correct ear tips which the ones that Sony provides are trash in my opinion, or at least for me they were you'll walk away thinking the earbuds are nowhere worth it. Once again once you set the EQ up with the earbuds and you have the proper ear tips and your wearing them correctly, they're simply amazing in my opinion.
Please don't buy pulse elite...ear cups are so painful, feels too heavy on head..surely will regret after buying...mines just sleeping in corner and waiting for wicked cushion earcups
I still use the sony platinums and liked having the mixer rocker because sometimes i play in a party to bullshit with friends while playing single player games. This allows me to turn their volume down during cutscenes without having to pull up menus. I memorized button layouts so the extra buttons didn't bother me. Those elites sound solid though. Eating chips while playing and not having to mute is life changing. I often forget to unmute and end up talking to myself.
So I had disconnect issues on my ps5 when I had the usb connected to the back of the ps5. Then I decided to reach back there and it was burning hot and switch the usb to the front and it’s been flawless since. Wondering if people are having the same issue due to heat?
Ive never had that issue before, I actually beleive that you might have it less open from the back than from the front which means that the ps5 cant breathe from the back, good to note tho 😄

I just connected my pulse elite to my portal on the first try. I turned them on first, then held down the PlayStation link button on the headphones for eight seconds until the blue light was flashing really fast on the headphones. Then I held down the PlayStation link button on the portal and it connected.

If you have Connection Problems use the usb in the front, if you have a ps5 slim biy a usb Hub the Problem is the heat at the back it fucks up the Dongle, thank me later
Bro! There's thousands of reviews saying the elites randomly disconnect! I got them yesterday and they DO disconnect mid game no matter where you plug the dongle in, front or back of the PS5. Amazing headset, but should I return it now or will it get patched?
Mine disconnected about four times since release in the first week, but haven't disconnected once this week, my usb is plugged in the back of my PS so i thought maybe its getting too hot
Mine did the same. All kinds of issues with mine. Crackling and popping noises as well. Very uncomfortable and useless for PSVR2. Sent mine back. Going with IEMS for gaming.
I have both and I have to say the pulse elite is far superior by all standards the pulse 3d has terrible sound and the mic is like talking into a coffee can I would just pay the extra $50 and get the better headset

To connect to the Portal: 1. Unplug the dongle from the PS5 . 2. Turn on the Portal and unlock the device. 3. Turn on the headset. You will see the portal see the device. -If it's your first time connecting, have the headset off, hold the power button until for 8-10 sec, you will hear a beep. Tap the link button on the Portal.

Planing on getting the elites, my turtle beach stealth 700 gen 2 had a audio melt down the other night playing final fantasy 7 remake with major audio distortion.
@CKidM sad part is those were new when I got them, my xbox ones of the same model which i bought refurbished doesn't have that problem, even checked to make sure their software was up to date. So not sure if it's the turtle beaches or the playstation software not playing nice.
Just got mine. Feels a bit loose on head but thats because mine is small! I can feel like my heart beat in my ears. And the cups when they wobble. The bluetooth integration for phone is amazing. Can finally keep them on witout having to move them when checking phone. The audio is fantastic. Crazy for $150. I bought this with the PS Portal! I chose these over the dual edge controller and earbuds for quality of life.
Returned my Elites after two weeks of trying them out. Headache after 15 minutes, every single time I used them. The fact that PSVR2 goes on over them, locking them in place is a major negative. Keeping my Pulse 3D as they are much more comfortable and work great with PSVR2. Sound quality not as good as the Elite but the 3D does the job for a much smaller price tag, especially if you buy used.
Do you think the Elites are trying to prioritize connecting to the dongle over the portal ? Especially if you connected them to the dongle first. Could you unplug all dongles you may have and reset the Elites. Then turn them off turn on the portal set it to pair then turn on the Elites and try to pair them that way. So the dongle doesn't interfere with the connection. Just an idea

I have been using pulse elite for a week they are good, had one random disconnect and mic quality is not as good as wired pc38x which is still a fav. I had a couple people say the mic sound is not as clear, might be from the noise rejection
I returned mine. Mine disconnected almost constantly. I’d reset the dongle/re-pair them and they’d work for a couple hours then start again. Did this four different times until I boxed them back up and sent them back. Good riddance to bad trash.

Ima be honest. Ive got both elite and maxwell and I still think pulse 3d sounds better and is more comfortable without that pressurised seal around my ears. Planars are objectively better but it’s so analytical. Dynamic driver like on pulse 3d is just so much more balanced and well… dynamic. And pulse 3d is much lighter.
I’ve been thinking about getting elite headset because I’ve been using cheap £20 turtle beach headset for 3+ yrs there good but when I’m playing competitive games I’m at a disadvantage
To keep it a buck. The Pulse 3D set has really good sound. I cannot count how many times playing PUBG I caught someone creeping around off the slightest and faint sound around me. A+ sound design. The fake leather comes off the ear cuffs though.

Pulse elite are absolute junk. The lightweight cheap plastic everywhere but the ear cups means they pull down on the ears. The head strap tension isnt tight enough for them to stop moving all over your head when you move. The constant disconnections from the console, the crackling/popping noise, and the fact they are pretty much useless with PSVR2. I really wanted this headset. But alas, I sent it back and decided to go with an IEM for gaming. Much better quality sound for much much less money.

I had that issue with my playstation gold headset. But if you put the dongle in an usb extension cord it works perfectly. Might help here too

I just haven't experienced that yet...but that's why I mentioned it in this video that it's a factor that people should consider.

Mine disconnected about four times since release in the first week, but haven't disconnected once this week, my usb is plugged in the back of my PS so i thought maybe its getting too hot
Mine did the same. All kinds of issues with mine. Crackling and popping noises as well. Very uncomfortable and useless for PSVR2. Sent mine back. Going with IEMS for gaming.

I have both and I have to say the pulse elite is far superior by all standards the pulse 3d has terrible sound and the mic is like talking into a coffee can I would just pay the extra $50 and get the better headset

I personally prefer the pulse 3d elite more than the original, it’s worth the 50 dollar price difference, the original 3d pulse earcuffs irritates my ears really badly
You can go into the sound setting where you can change the audio balance and mute game voice chat but idk what if you’re in a PlayStation party

To connect to the Portal:
1. Unplug the dongle from the PS5 .
2. Turn on the Portal and unlock the device.
3. Turn on the headset. You will see the portal see the device.
-If it's your first time connecting, have the headset off, hold the power button until for 8-10 sec, you will hear a beep. Tap the link button on the Portal.

I don't know how exactly to describe it but when I move my neck or simply move with this headset I hear a sound like inside the headset that is not from the game I wish I could describe it but is a bit annoying, someone knows if that is "normal" when using the headset while moving ?

Planing on getting the elites, my turtle beach stealth 700 gen 2 had a audio melt down the other night playing final fantasy 7 remake with major audio distortion.

@CKidM sad part is those were new when I got them, my xbox ones of the same model which i bought refurbished doesn't have that problem, even checked to make sure their software was up to date. So not sure if it's the turtle beaches or the playstation software not playing nice.
Just got mine. Feels a bit loose on head but thats because mine is small! I can feel like my heart beat in my ears. And the cups when they wobble.
The bluetooth integration for phone is amazing. Can finally keep them on witout having to move them when checking phone.
The audio is fantastic. Crazy for $150. I bought this with the PS Portal! I chose these over the dual edge controller and earbuds for quality of life.

Returned my Elites after two weeks of trying them out. Headache after 15 minutes, every single time I used them. The fact that PSVR2 goes on over them, locking them in place is a major negative. Keeping my Pulse 3D as they are much more comfortable and work great with PSVR2. Sound quality not as good as the Elite but the 3D does the job for a much smaller price tag, especially if you buy used.
Made the upgrade with headset and elite controller and both I would recommend. Brings a whole new experience to gaming.
Do you think the Elites are trying to prioritize connecting to the dongle over the portal ? Especially if you connected them to the dongle first. Could you unplug all dongles you may have and reset the Elites. Then turn them off turn on the portal set it to pair then turn on the Elites and try to pair them that way. So the dongle doesn't interfere with the connection. Just an idea

I got the Pulse 3Ds and I love them I just wish they would add the feature of using the Duel sense edge FN button to control the volume since it works with the Pulse elite
I have been using pulse elite for a week they are good, had one random disconnect and mic quality is not as good as wired pc38x which is still a fav. I had a couple people say the mic sound is not as clear, might be from the noise rejection

I returned mine. Mine disconnected almost constantly. I’d reset the dongle/re-pair them and they’d work for a couple hours then start again. Did this four different times until I boxed them back up and sent them back. Good riddance to bad trash.
couldnt sony push a patch to fix alot of issues with the elites ( both earbuds and earphones) sounds to me like all the "issues" people have could be solved 100 percent by pushing a firmware update or even a hot patch. thoughts?..
We can fix the groceries this November by voting out the people that jacked up the gas from $1.50 a gallon to $4.00 a gallon. That is why everything costs so much more right now. I have another pair of Sony headphones and they have the same multi buttons on the one side and you can’t tell what’s what without taking it off
Ima be honest. Ive got both elite and maxwell and I still think pulse 3d sounds better and is more comfortable without that pressurised seal around my ears.
Planars are objectively better but it’s so analytical. Dynamic driver like on pulse 3d is just so much more balanced and well… dynamic.
And pulse 3d is much lighter.

I’ve been thinking about getting elite headset because I’ve been using cheap £20 turtle beach headset for 3+ yrs there good but when I’m playing competitive games I’m at a disadvantage

To keep it a buck. The Pulse 3D set has really good sound. I cannot count how many times playing PUBG I caught someone creeping around off the slightest and faint sound around me. A+ sound design. The fake leather comes off the ear cuffs though.
Just get yourself the razer blacksharks pro and you wouldn't need another headset

Pulse elite are absolute junk. The lightweight cheap plastic everywhere but the ear cups means they pull down on the ears. The head strap tension isnt tight enough for them to stop moving all over your head when you move. The constant disconnections from the console, the crackling/popping noise, and the fact they are pretty much useless with PSVR2. I really wanted this headset. But alas, I sent it back and decided to go with an IEM for gaming. Much better quality sound for much much less money.
