I started wetshaving 3 years ago when I was 19, and started with a Rockwell. I have recently bought an r41 and it was the best decision of my life. It just removes everything with such ease, and that is great because like that I never do more than 1 pass, and go only once in each place and get better results then with a 3 pass shave with smoother and softer razors. Courisly what cured my irritation was the r41
Hey Geo, First off I need to apologise to you and everybody in chat.....it was me, I was the lazy bum using an electric shaver for the last 5 years. I'm sorry. Then I bumped into 1 off your videos on youtube... I'm over that phase of my life now and I'm back in the room using a Muhle razor and red Proraso cream, shaving has become an absolute pleasure. My wife says it looks soooo much better and she's often touching my face and enjoying the smoothness. Thanks for the inspiration and all the info you share with us.....you're an absolute legend!!!! Guess what......I've had a great shave and I'm having a great day!!!!
Thanks for posting this video and wearing the bandana, brother! It takes me back to the good old days when I learned to DE shave from you after finding an old Gilette NEW in my stuff, and now I do a straight razor with no fear and have taught my 20 year old to "clear the runways". The R41 was an intimidating beast for me back in the day, now it's child's play. Thanks a million, geofatboy, you have helped thousands of men to be men!
Dear Geo, I hope this message finds you and family well. I have been an avid fan for over a year. In just the last 2 months, I have been teaching your exclusive DE shaving methods to my 16 year old, who is growing some fuzz on his side burns and chin. Just the other day, I saw him perform the, “infinity” movement when lathering his face, and just before the razor hit his face, he said, “clear the runway!” You can only imagine my laughter. Maybe you should design a T-shit….
I like to hold the razor with my fingertips at the neck for micro control on those tricky areas. Then chill the razor under cold water for a cool last pass.
What a beast!, the R41T and you too Geo💈💈 Takes one to know one right?... I had the regular R41and got rid of it, too much for my skin, my son loves it though. Arko is good soap, I grate it into a bowl and press it down to firm it up, works fantastic and is easy to lather. Some folks may not like the scent but it doesn't bother me, I like it. Great shave and fine results, no issues and no crying...thanks Geo. Be safe. Enjoy!
Hi Geo, good time, I received a week ago the R41 Twist. I feel it great, heavy, you do not have to push, just guide it, and I prefer this to the R41 classic. No irritation, no spots, no burns, just one pass and adjust, 5 minutes and is done👍, just Mühle
Greetings geofatboy! I request you to try a shave using milk/fresh cream/curd to lubricate your skin and soften the whiskers. The razor would glide more smoothly and give you a much cleaner shave. Also milk is a good cleansing agent (used in women's beauty parlors for face cleaning for which they charge a fortune) along with this it nourishes our skin and makes it healthy and glowing. This method is more healthier and skin-friendly as this avoids any kind of chemicals present in shaving foams, creams, gels, soaps etc. which harm our skin in the long run. This method makes traditional wet shaving much more economical as now we even save money by not purchasing expensive creams, soaps, gels, brushes and what not. Blades also last longer and give you more shaves when you use milk, also you may not need any aftershave after that as the skin remains moisturized even after the shave.
I really like the R41 and I've used it for years. I don't have particularly tough or thick stubble, I just love how close it gets. Always enjoy your content Geo. Have a great day.
I bought the R41T from you a couple of years ago after watching a review you did back then. I've tried other SR's but always go back to the R41T. My daily: Muhle R41T Gillette Perma-Sharp Taconic Shave Pre-Shave Oil Omega 48 Pro La Toja Crema Omega Alum Stick Proraso after splash (green bottle)
I have r41 and r89 head and now I use the r89 with out the safety bar for the first pass after see 1 of your other videos. Tomorrow I shall try the r41 with out the comb. BTW I prefer the old brick wall
Ive decided to compliment my r89 twist by adding an r41 twist to my collection with a separate stand, love muhle razors and thanks for the feedback your videos are brilliant 👏
Great shave as usual. I love my R89. But my question is I am using a blade with no printing on it, and it comes in a plain white wrapper. I know it's not a Kai so what is it??? Thanks in advance.
Another great video Geo! Just a quick question, does the aggressiveness on this razor compare to any of the higher settings on the Progress DE razor? Thank you in advance.
Ok so learning to use a DE razor was a learning curve. Then I bought a R41…I used a Derby Platinum blade like in my other razors and this R41 gave me the closest shave ever. However I carved my face like a pumpkin. And I was very careful knowing this razor would be a very aggressive razor which I was looking for because other razors just weren’t enough. Any suggestions or is that just the nature of this beast ?
Mühle R41? This kid doesn't play. Of admirable efficiency but unnecessarily brutal to the skin for my beard growth. I prefer to stick with my Parker 26C for three-day beard mowing.
I add minnnimal water to Proraso creams, to stay thick creamy, if I add more it's impressive volume and everything but much less protection for me, it becomes too foamy for me, but yea that's similar to ragu
Wow! The doo rag & the brick wall! Old school! Great shave as always! Big fan of Arko. Makes a great lather and I like the scent. 💈

Now bring back, “get your shave on”.
Just got a r89 twist for my birthday. Today was my first shave with it. Wow love it. Thanks

You are the only one who shaves every day and has a 3 days growth to shave ;)

As a head shaver you could totally
Rock that look. For a second I thought u shaved your head with the bandana haha.

The 41 Twist disassembles the same as my Merkur 34C. I like the 3-piece razors better, but these are still cool.

Hey Geo, glad you brought back the original opening score. The beat is terrific (especially when listening via earphones).
Great shave Geo! You tamed the beast!

Für mich ist der R41 zu aggressiv!
Ein echtes Biest!
Ich nehme immer der R89 von Muehle oder 34c .
Das Video war sehr gut.
Versuch Twist, besser und weniger... Beast
Ive decided to compliment my r89 twist by adding an r41 twist to my collection with a separate stand, love muhle razors and thanks for the feedback your videos are brilliant 👏
bit.ly/MühleR41TwistSN Good stuff-Thanks for watching!
Love the updates - - so many great shaving choices ! ! !
Should you be scared of rhis razor Geo or just really careful? And is it too agreesive for a everyday shaver?
I’ve found astra ( green) and Gillette silver blue to be best for me in the r41twist.
The same for me Astra Astra Astra and also Nacet
@@danilobernaschina1842 I didn’t like the nacet in mine. Sharp but , irritating. I prefer the nacet in milder razors
Great shave as usual. I love my R89. But my question is I am using a blade with no printing on it, and it comes in a plain white wrapper. I know it's not a Kai so what is it??? Thanks in advance.
George, do you know when you'll replenish your Rockwell 6S stock? My wife just gave me the "Go Ahead" on the purchase. Thanks
Спасибо большое!

Can you do a video on the Rex Konsul XL?
Nice return of the dew rag! Also shave soap on a stick?
Great shave Geo...
nice work again mate.
R41 Twist still the only razor that bites.
Or the Merkur Futur on setting 5 or 6 would remove that stubble
My daily razor (Astra SP blades)
You crack me up unnmmn lol
Mühle R41?
This kid doesn't play.

Add water, add water
That's the same way you "lather " up tomato paste
