- Alan Price Set
The Animals

Alan is "the man"..... period!!!
The best rendition of the song EVER!!!!!!
His bandmate Eric Burdon sang it better!!
idk@@bernicemoore5182
@@bernicemoore5182 Oh no he didn't! Stardust has it spot on - and there were indeed some great versions.
Alan was in a class by himself. An extraordinary musician who only comes along such few times in life. I thought he was incredible.
Much agreed. MUCH agreed.
He is still amazing. He posts songs on UA-cam and his voice sounds the same.
For one band to have TWO so identical, incredible bluesy singers is beyond imagination
This isn't just a song, it's a performance.
Mega talented is Alan Price...💪..keyboard extraordinaire🎹..vocally amazing🎙very handsome too....
He won everything !
Price was one of the absolute best keyboardists of the 60's rock era, And he had an excellent voice . He's a very underated musician. In my opinion,he and Ray Manzarek of the Doors, along with the keyboard player for Procol Harum, were the absolute tops. Thanks for sharing this great piece
Absolutely agree, though I would also add Rod Argent of the Zombies!
I take it you have not listened to much Brian Auger then...
agree, agree, agree
Auger, Argent what about Jon Lord, have you ever listen to the Artwoods? or Eddie Hardin, listen to Hardin & York or Thijs van Leer of Focus
Best version ever!!
AGREED!!
A great player. I love his work.
always great to hear Alan's version.... I don't compare , I just love them all ...
I think Allan Price is the Ginger Baker of the Keyboards without the flawed personality I agree very underrated possibly didn’t play the “Game”
The best interpretation and voice!!
The 3/4 swing was quite a surprise! A most enjoyable listen. May I suggest you look up Arthur Brown's version (with Vincent Crane on Hammond)?
The best version Period !
Great to find this. I remember being turned on to this by friends in 9th or 10th grade when this came out. One of them played it with his band on Hammond organ...Great stuff.
An incredible version! Alan did well after leaving The Animals!
Those hands. I loved Alan Price when he was with the Animals. Jeez those hands I want tnose hands
Something that I identify in The Animals is the sound of the organ, regardless of the voice, and in this song is the predominant instrument with respect to the CCR version where the predominant instrument is the guitar. Very good interpretation of Alan Price.
Hauntingly beautiful take on this classic by a killer keyboard player...great solo!
Brilliant today as it was when I was 16!
Same here but aged 18..
very true
When I was 13.!
Just wonderful!
Master of keybords...
one word...KILLER..!!!
This song was a very special song for Alan. For me, also.
This was supposed to be the New Animals, but of course, Eric was the Animal, not Alan. He is a human.
This was his 110%. This is all his pain and sadness in one song.
❤❤❤❤❤ Alan Prajs❤❤❤❤❤
Hermoso tema.🎉
WOW WOW WOW !!!!!!!!!!1111111
From a mad keen 77yo Aussie fan..
it's still amazing
Eric Burdon isn't the only one to have a deep and beautiful voice
Burdon is better!
@@bernicemoore5182 Yeah I know, I think the same too
@@user-jc4wf4kb6t Yes !
@@bernicemoore5182 at what? Burdon was great but Alan was more talented great singer and keyboard player what could Burdon play? nothing
toujours great!
Yes-he was one of the Best ---!!!!!!!
Alan had a grest voice Impossible for Burdon and him to co exist , similar voices One of the best on keyboard!!!!
Yes completely underrated !!!!! Cool dude also !!!!
I actually discovered him after the movie "O Lucky man"...
He's wearing and ID bracelet. I had one in the 4th grade when Eisenhower was president.
Side man with the animals chas Chandler promo Hendrix band with depth of talent.Saw Burdon at Ameobe in Hollywood out of 200 or so live shows in the top 5
Dynamic, Incredible keyboards made him The Genius behind THE ANIMAL Not wanting to tour he played in ENGLAND only. this is so much better than SR+CREAMIN JAY HAWKINS!
otimo...
The drummer left half of his drumkit at home....
20th April 1966 Sunderland 0-2 Arsenal
I'm not sure why it says animals. The animals weren't the ones to originally write this song.
3:15 Who sings "I Remember" , please
This is not the Animals. AP had moved on by then . . .
Yep , it's The Alan Price Set.
Can you imagine what the Animals would have been had they let this guy loose along with Eric Burdon??
Thief of the title "House of risin sun" of the Animals .. No class.
It has nothing to do with his art.
Can someone tell me what organ this is he’s playing?
The one he's pretending to play, aka miming, is a Hammond C3, but I suspect the organ you hear is a variation on a Hammond M101. Very similar sound to the Crazy World of Arthur Brown, but thin enough to be an M series, not one of the big console organs.
Qui peut m’écrire les paroles ? Merci infiniment 🥰🥰🥰
I put a spell on you, because you're mine
You'd better stop the things that you do
I ain't lyin', no I ain't lyin', yeah!
I just can't stand it, baby, for you're always runnin' around
I just can't stand it the way you're always puttin' me down
I put a spell on you, because you're mine
I put a spell on you, because you're mine
You'd better stop the things that you do
Lord knows I ain't lyin', said I ain't lyin'
I just can't stand it, baby, the way you're always tryin' to put me down
I just can't stand it the way you're always runnin' 'round
I put a spell on you, because you're mine
Because you're mine
I said I love you, I love you, I love you, oh baby how
I don't care if you don't want me
I said I'm yours, I'm yours right now
I put a spell on you, because you're mine
I put a spell on you
I just can't stand the way you're always tryin' to put me down
I put a spell on you, oh yeah
I put a spell on you, I put a spell on you
@@Ami_des_slows Merci 🙏 Pierre . C’est trop chou !! 🥰
Love to hear music as it is. Without the electronic crap attached.
Master at the keyboards….Voice ok. I prefer Eric’s version. Also Alan is a little short on ethics when he kept all of the royalties to himself for “House of the Rising Sun!” Did not share with the rest of The Animals.
I like this version but if you want to hear the best version click on creedence clearwater revival version( John Foggerty) listen all the way through.
Thief of the title "House of risin sun" of the Animals ..
Too bad he had to toil under the oppressive narcissist Eric Burdon. He was a talent unto himself.
Done the shit on the Animals re House of the Rising Sun,kept all the royalties for himself..nasty..
@@darrenfraser6524 True.
How was Eric that?
Did you post then delete your comment? I can't read the whole thing.
Yeah...look, I don't want to get into a big debate about Eric and The Animals, but it's fairly common knowledge there was acrimony between him and the other band members regarding top billing and song writiing attributions. Google it if you want, but I'm not interested in defending it or rehashing it with other music lovers. It's just my personal opinion.
