This recording surpasses all of the British invaders, including The Beatles, although many of their songs are great. It simply takes GREAT to an unsurpassed levels. Strangely, it may not even be in Creedence's top 10.
Except , Yankie Doodle, THIS IS A COVER ! Loads of bands do great covers, eg Tina Turner’s CCWR Proud Mary etc CCWR DID NOT WRITE THIS SONG. Most of the “British Invasion” wrote their own songs . After the second Beatles album proper, The Beatles never again did covers !!!! They wrote their own . Rolling Stones eventually wrote their own songs by 1965 With the honourable exception of CCWR , who wrote some wonderful songs , most American bands of that era, as opposed to solo artists , where utter utter shit ! Jefferson Airplane lol. Grateful Dead? Good god no. The Doors ? An intimidation of Van Morrison’s Them . Solo artists yes. CCWR were the only US band who were really popular in Europe in that era . That’s why the “British invasion” occurred so easily . Those US bands flopped when they went outside of the US . Doors ? Please they struggled not to get booed in the US . Beach boys had their moment sure, but it was just a moment, they were too corny after 1966 . Anyway, for most part the “invasion” was a bit of a false one , it was just the Beatles . Rolling Stones had their highs and lows and went missing at the end of the decade until they came back strong The Kinks got banned because of petty protectionism from the US. The Kinks went off and wrote their best stuff thereafter . The US didn’t get peak The Who (the singles ) until after Woodstock Tom Jones did alright but that was mostly later The Yardbirds had so many changes
Takes great to unsurpassed levels 😂🤦♀️😂. Clearly don’t know what you are talking about . Typical brain dead nationalistic American . Why bring up nationalism anyway IF CCWR actually wrote the fucking song, and were the first to record it, sure, that meaningless comment of yours might have made sense. But, they didn’t and it doesn’t

You forgot to attach a link, to the song you want me to see
@@shalomyan369 ok - (someone told me never to send links within comments ?)- there are so many versions and for me, the ORIGINAL is ALWAYS THE BEST! And Fogerty´s voice was a top voice - like Ian Gillans and so many others - here for you - as a private bassist it was nice to me to play it with: pageslinkua-cam.com/users/results?search_query=bryan+ferry+i+put+a+spell+on+you
John Fogerty hit it with this song. The crowd I was in loved CCR and the music hit the airwaves bigtime just as the band broke up.
One of the great voices in rock music of all time.
John Fogerty's voice is my drug.
That makes two of us brother Juan kiddo.
my drug is cannabis fundido c\ CCR

I have a regular fix lol

Imita os cantores negros dos EUA alias de quem é essa música?
Apart from their musical talent and ideas, they were inspired by the beautiful spirit of the times.
Many of their songs were inspired by the times of the Vietnam war. I was born in 1954, followed CCR all the way. Had all the albums, and wore them out getting things as best I could playing guitar with my friends in our band. Well,... I did the best I could, but we had a blast playing for people. I still watch John Fogerty in UA-cam sessions.
,.... besides , mate! 😊 BERNIE GERMANY 😊
Pure gold! Raw, natural and awesome!

This recording surpasses all of the British invaders, including The Beatles, although many of their songs are great. It simply takes GREAT to an unsurpassed levels. Strangely, it may not even be in Creedence's top 10.
Except , Yankie Doodle, THIS IS A COVER ! Loads of bands do great covers, eg Tina Turner’s CCWR Proud Mary etc
CCWR DID NOT WRITE THIS SONG. Most of the “British Invasion” wrote their own songs .
After the second Beatles album proper, The Beatles never again did covers !!!! They wrote their own . Rolling Stones eventually wrote their own songs by 1965
With the honourable exception of CCWR , who wrote some wonderful songs , most American bands of that era, as opposed to solo artists , where utter utter shit !
Rolling Stones had their highs and lows and went missing at the end of the decade until they came back strong
The Kinks got banned because of petty protectionism from the US. The Kinks went off and wrote their best stuff thereafter .
The US didn’t get peak The Who (the singles ) until after Woodstock
Tom Jones did alright but that was mostly later
The Yardbirds had so many changes
Takes great to unsurpassed levels 😂🤦♀️😂. Clearly don’t know what you are talking about . Typical brain dead nationalistic American . Why bring up nationalism anyway
IF CCWR actually wrote the fucking song, and were the first to record it, sure, that meaningless comment of yours might have made sense. But, they didn’t and it doesn’t
I have probably heard at least 5=7 versions of this, mainly more bluesy, but this is killer!
63 and Love it!!!!❤
Mi rozdziera nadal ❤🇵🇱👍
CCR = Are true masters.. Gold Style. Forever Legendary.
The opening track to their opening album and it pretty much describes all of the boys’s role in the band
From John’s powerful vocals and harmonious’s solo, Stu and Cosmo’s punchy, in your face Bass and Drums to Tom’s precise and hypnotic’s rhythm carrying the all thing all the way through,
One of a kind band
По рок-прошлому летать - век воли не видеть.

One of the best of CCR.
Damn, I forgot what a really great band CCR was!!! Love this song and I haven't heard it in 50 years. Thanks for opening my eyes & ears.
How can you forget such a thing?
No doubt John Fogarty was/is a musical genius. I once saw a list of the songs he has written and it was staggering.
This voice puts a spell on my brain!!! It is past midnight, listening different renditions of this superb song, and this is so beautifully raw...
Raw powerful voice digs into you. Then the guitar solo digs in deep. Makes my day. No sadness here. Just a spell.
I listened to an old version around 2AM last year. This is the best version but there's a bluesy edition that works. Many blessings of a nurturing nature.
Same here. Don't know why.😊
@@josemaazcue5832 A spell, indeed! The guitar digs smooth, to the core, and then cries, and then takes over, and then smooths again...just overwhelmingly beautiful!

That period in the middle where there is no singing is absolutely incredible stuff!
It's called a guitar solo...
@@loucypher9213 laughing a lot... but hey then there's the drummer along with the guitar solo... let's not forget him!! Razzle Dazzle!
