Great deal for BDU members on the Archons here: lddy.no/9r6e
Archon type B sounds like a nerve agent
"I prefer like a really BIG bead, that way it really fills in this rear notch"
-Chad 2019
4:39 "...three stage recoil spring... does mitigate recoil..."
Slow mo video: *WHAM*
It's always a good time when y'all are testing out the products, love the channel and everything you do for the community thank you Chad & Eric.
For the love of god the steyr M9A1 has a chassis system and hhas been in production for almost two decades..they have an updated version in the L9A2 show that vs the archon
Sig has had it for a long time too without anyone caring. Hopefully by now everyone realizes the future is a chassis that legally qualifies as the firearm, and a choice of slide length and grip length. Glock, for example, doesn't have room for configurations like a 17 slide on a 19 frame. They seem to be catching on to the appeal of these unusual configurations with their "X" models, but the ability to assemble any combination of grip and slide would be nice.
@@timewave02012 no doubt about that. I'm just a big fan of the steyr and think an apples to apples comparison with the newest version of the steyr vs the archon would be nice. especially considering the lack of interest that the steyr received in its original configuration.
@@geoffgambier9267 The differentiating factor I recall about the Steyr is its low bore axis. Otherwise it still uses the Browning short recoil system, so the Archon should beat it for suppressability and maybe accuracy, by a small margin. The Steyr was definitely underappreciated in its time, but that might be like comparing the Walther PPS to the single-stack Glock 9mm that didn't come until the 43. Sure, it was there for us early adopters, but it took a while to become mainstream.
@@timewave02012 yeah but steyr has made some improvements, the upgraded A2 version is pretty tricked out, and I'm looking forward to getting one
Probably the sweetest shooting striker gun out of the box. Heavy, flat, great trigger pull and reset... trigger does get fiercely hot. Had to resort to giving the gun ice baths to make the trigger bearable after long strings in the summer sun.
I have an Archon Type B and love it, I had a trigger job done to Lighten & Smooth it out a little more and I had trijicon HD Night Sights put on and Love them too. I also had the Big Brother the Salient Arms Strike One Tier One and that is my favorite pistol just fires so Quick, Track Fast and is Accurate as Hell while being 100% Reliable.
@12:45 - John Lovell might give you crap, but Paul Harrell should approve. 😉
I love mine! Shoots very flat and accurate
Heat is killing Chad while he wears a Member's Only jacket over his shirt. seems about right.
I have a ton of guns and own a shop and this is my favorite pistol of all time
Matt
Naples guns and ammo
The sound of Silence Maybe after I get my rights back at 21 (hate Rick Scott) Ill come visit ya I'm a Florida local not too far away
The sound of Silence I lived in Fort Myers for 5 years, beautiful area 👍🏼. Any suggestions for an American Made 38 or 9? I own the Walther PPQM2, and the Walther PPX. I also like the feel of Sig,... I just want to find an American made version. 🇺🇸
I would patronize your store, but I am in Minnesota.
Chad don’t hide your hair let it blow in the wind 😂
performance anxiety under rolling camera, been there done that.
They do work with cz75 compact mags
Very Cool firearm Sir. Thanks for showing it Chad an Eric
Eric & Chad y’all come to Royal Range in Nashville, TN!
Loving the hair Chad!
If anybody cares to know the archon type B takes CZ SP-01 & B&T 30rd mags
Thanks for the info, running a cz p10c currently but have had my eye on a archon👌
Call megar it’s the same press
sales RAIN6 i don’t have a problem with my b&t mags try them
Sweet pistol! Flat faced trigger definitely getting used too...Get a 'deeper hook' on the trigger = closer to the 1st joint on your trigger finger. Eliminate those annoying LEFTS.
That was one of my biggest problems but after adjusting my Contact Area closer to the joint and using my Left Thumb to keep it tight side to side brought my Aim back to Center. I love this Gun and I have been carrying it for a couple of months and it is comfortable. IMO and I have been shooting Guns for over 40 years the Archon Type B is Fast Tracking, Fast Shooting , Damn Accurate and Always Reliable what more do you want.
It seems like a nice gun with some cool features but I wish it had a larger ejection port. I’ve never been a fan of small ejection ports like on the Browning High Power.
This bad boy is a serious contender for my first pistol. Have had the chance to handle one and I absolutely loved it.
Do it; lots of good features
John Lovell rappels in from no where in full breaking gear and hardened knuckle gloves, punching through your steel ar500 targets and frothing out of the mouth, bites off a chunk off the target. “WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY!?”
Mine runs my cz sp01 mags. Fully loaded 18rnd mag has a hard time seating correctly but if I go 17 it's great.
gr8 shooting ace...
You left sodas hangin" : )
Nice
Would it be possible to ge a test off the new sti staccato p host looks like a realy nice gun for duty use.
Well try the 75’s mags cuz I’ve got one
It blew me away..... Like a queef in a tornado .......
Hey wondering if you can do a review on a Remington model 770 In .243
I might have to do some fondling first, then handle the pistol lol.
LOL glad som1 else noticed that looks like a golfer trying to get a grip
Is this chads first solo video? Great stuff thumbs up
Sure, you could consider it his first solo video, if you completely disregard Eric shooting in the second half of it.
Is it a decent CC weapon? Are there any sharp edges on the back of the weapon to scratch and/or pole if you are in a T-shirt with just skin up against the weapon? I have a Makarov where the rear site is has some sharp edges.
Those damn HST boxes are the worst! haha
I have one of those still called Stryk B
I have an Archon Type B and have no issue with heat. Pins or trigger don't heat up. Not sure what you guys are doing. Mine is accurate and soft shooting. It's one of the best out of the box pistols in my opinion. Love the fiber optic sight that is included. No need to change the sights.
Does that tendon in the back bother your grip? I really like the gun but I feel like it could be really uncomfortable
@@Noah-mk8wf I don’t notice it at all and have really big fat hands.
@@bradmohr7398 awesome, thanks
You guys really should check out the Steyr m9, I’d love to hear what the two of you have to say about it.
Eric... Did he just call you a "Fairy"? 😂😂😂
Holy shit! Please do a meltdown on this!
The Jheri curl poking out the bottom of the hat is looking extra shiny today. Let me guess, you applied a liberal misting of Soul Glow afro sheen?
This pistol looks amazing!! Hope the price point isn’t too high lol
Have you tried sd9 mags? They look very similar
Try looking at the steyr pistols
Make sure when you buy a hammer like this to break in the waffle on the head by beating it on a hard surface like a rock until all the points are marred off of the waffle. When in use, the individual spikes can break off and hit someone, and the consequences of missing a swing are very painful.
Chad, I can recomend a good barber.if your interested?
So, the barrel doesn't rock? You wouldn't need a Nielson device with a suppressor?
i've been asking around from their US store and some custom shops and they say it handles suppressors very well. problem is there are no threaded barrels available for it yet. they say they are coming. rain6 llc can also make one for you but they are stupid expensive.
Sure throws out that brass
I’m wondering if Eric is Rt handed, Lt eye shooter? It seems that you’re tilting your head. Keep up the good work.
Eric the ammo fairy 🧚♀️ lol
Omg, still no optic cut on the type B?
Is that the starting of a mullet I see appearing from Chad’s hat?
JW inshallah
i am really on the fence with this gun, my biggest concern is holsters, if it's compatible with safariland that could be a game changer.
Rodiculous Tier1 has options for it
I just wish it was optics ready...
Pistol with Geco name inside slide likes Geco made ammo.
Seems like this pistol doesn't like chad.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The mag release swap is in my manual... It was designed that way. Not a hack really
Worst design ever? I don't know about you but I'd hate to be in a gun fight and accidentally put my mag in the wrong way....
Yep I got a strike 1 :) not a bad gun
If it was closer to $650 then I would probably get one. When the CZ P10 series pistols can be had for $400 and up I just don't see a reason to purchase the Archon.
it's better in almost every way? that's a pretty good reason imo
Exactly what I was thinking😎
@@rodiculous9464 better on paper only really, what does it do that a CZ wouldn't?
@@rodiculous9464 name some ways for us uneducated folk?
Bruce P. Lower bore axis and better trigger for starters.
Looks like a Smith and Wesson sdve40
Looks like its really gassy even without a suppressor, would like to see how bad it is with a can.
Funny how I bought that gun in Germany as Arsenal Arms Stryk B.
Yeah dude I've seen this with pistols and Aks in particular. For years I always laughed when I'd see paperwork on my old AKs with now de facto importers/assembly point listed as the actual manufacturer for paperwork. I dont know if they even exist anymore but I still have Interarms/TGI etc etc
Manufactured in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic...
I like to shoot pistols on my right, and rifles on my left. I perform best this way but can shoot with the opposite sides if needed. Haha cool that y'all accidentally found out that hack.
Strike One
“Accidentally put the mag in backwards and the mag catch fell out. Isn’t that the coolest?” Lol
This wont get you killed in a gunfight wink wink
Who else is subbed to Guntarsenal? Love the back to back uploads from both channels
For those interested is guitars both playing, building and all that, pretty much everything they do with guns these guys do with guitars on Guntarsenal
Uh okay thanks buddy
“Get over” the pin burning you? No. Quit being nice
I have 3 9mm pistols now. Sig P320F, Kimber 1911 and an H&K. Also a Dan Wesson Bronze Bruin 10mm and a FNX Tactical .45, which is a 15 round .45. 5 AR's, 1 shotgun and a brand new Henry .357 that I haven't even been able to shoot yet. I don't need another gun. (What idiot would say that. Nyuk nyuk nyuk)
man the sig p250 was ahead of its time
Steyr was the first ones to makes a modular chassis system, they have used it in there firearms yet that I am aware of but they have the rights to the design of the modular chassis system. This is why steyr sued sig over the p320. But I do t think the lawsuit really went any where, so other companies have been doing modular chassis systems now too.
It just be a thang....
00:23 "Figuratively" ;)
good god why did i automatically think this was a jennings model nine just from the thumbnail.
HST boxes are the worst
It's AK Lebedev?
WAIT a second. The "cool" mag hack could also be a potentially deadly flaw!?! On chest camera videos iv seen officers insert their mag backwards in the heat of a firefight, that could disable the gun with this gun!?!?!?!?!
at least you don't have a suppressor on it.
Hey Eric, prolly not a good idea to let Chad review a pistol when he can't hit the broad side of a barn with it. Lol. BaHahahaaa!
Weird ricochet @ 7:19
Looks like a Canik tp9..
Strike One was Italian BTW
Kortushka Karterfel designed by Russian for Russian SOF produced in Italy
Why does this look like a Goocheed out, CZ P-10C, to me?
Idk, looks more Gucci'd than Goocheed to me.
Does Chad not realize his jacket is ripped?
Very well made pistols.
Lack of marketing and customer service in the USA is what will cause this not to succeed.
Strike one is a real shooters pistol.
Have the Salient Arms Strike One Tier One and is hands down my favorite Pistol and I have many Custom 1911's that are so sweet but they Don't Shoot Like the Strike One.
Cool pistol. Definitely wouldn't recommend this for duty use though.
The only reason I'd avoid it as a duty weapon is because there aren't any real holster options as of yet. It is a nice shooter and it is very accurate.
Have strike one, Love this gun.
Dont love spring that holds magazine.
Sight is chosen by IPSC shooter - red fiber at front and black on back for fast shooting.
To me it is flop if u can put magazine backwards and something will fall off.
In Styke one u cant do this and it is ok (but u can change magazine button from left to right).
On CZ magazine, i tried one with Strike one.. They fit and if u rock the slide it will feed, but magazine it wont lock inside a gun.
If u shoot like 150-200 round fast it will heat trigger, u gonna notised but it will not burn u. Gun just tells u " ok u need to make a brake"
Chad, your trigger reset is waay too late.
Guys, the Gun is Expensive !!
Chad looks like the delorian just dropped him off from the early 90s.....eeeew
But it's a nine son!
Chad funny how you can make a huge flaw of the firearms into something good lol about the mag release, you said it yourself accidentally put the mag backward and the damn thing fell out lol, once it fell out in a gun fight you're basically done or it fell out and lost when you least expected
Correction should read "poke"not "pole".
Someone is reverse engineering Springfield Armory
Anywhere from $750-850 for this gun online, that's a ridiculous price.
Everyone check out John Mark’s channel. John Mark or Mark My Word’s. He has the answers to save the West.
Is that a republishan endorshed pishtol😂
9th!
Its Glock, now all pistols are Glocks
Where is this made? Its not Russia. The strike one was the shit tho
I believe the arsenal strike one was Italian?
@mmarchmonte88 Russian.
