Great video. The only problem buying an "iced out" Rolex is that Rolex will not even look at it when it needs servicing. You are stuck trying to find a reputable repair shop.
That's called a repeat Customer. LOL. But seriously when your able to drop $20k+ on a watch, your probably not sending it to Rolex for service, you probably would have a personal jeweler service it.

Rolex would never service or repair them if you begged them to. They’re not worth anything as a watch, they have only precious gems and metals value now. The Swiss horological value is ruined.

These guys buy the watches at trade prices and buy them of people looking to sell there watches at less than what they paid then they polish them up bust them with diamonds and over charge. Plain Jane is best for investment pieces even if your wearing it daily it will still hold value.

For me, there is something far more charming about the job it’s doing 40-50 years on. Anything brand new will do what it’s supposed to do. Back in 2013 My wife was dealing with a local dealer to buy me a Rolex Submariner Oystersteel and yellow gold with a blue face and dial. 2 days before she was going to buy it I was in a fairly serious work accident that has left me with a permanent disability. I went from making $75,000 - $80,000 per year to $11,000 per year. I told her not to buy it as my kids and wife comes first. It was always her dream to buy me a Rolex. She recently passed away from cancer at 54 years old. She was still dreaming of buying me one even as she took her last breath. Now owning a Rolex just isn't important anymore. Hang on to what is important.

Rappers who say "my bussdown AP cost like $90,000" are either lying or being scammed by their jewlers.
A watch cost really only as much as someone is willing to pay for it, but you aftermarket diamond watch is no where near as valuable than a plain jaine or factory set
