My favorite character on GOT has always been Arya and Jon Sno first and foremost! Dany and Terrien! Neddard Stark goes without saying! As for little finger I refer to him as Middle-Finger! There are at least 5 important elements in Rob’s Scout scene. 1) The setup- he specifically mentions being merciful and showing honor, and loudly. 2) Misinformation- letting the scout know that 20k troops is “correct” 3) Misdirection- ensuring the scout will relay Rob’s plans to directly attack Tywin with all his troops. 4) Loyalty and proving himself- this is Rob’s first command action. After seeing his bannermen question his ability and age,he must do something to inspire trust in his troops and show he’s fit to lead. 5) Tywin’s commitment- by using 1, 3, and 3, Tywin will think Rob is a boy rushing in with little thought. To overwhelm his forces and ensure victory, he needs to draw troops away from Jaime’s host (further making him vulnerable) to crush Rob thoroughly for his youthful naivety. These things all contributed to Rob’s plan and ensured his success. It’s a more subtle scene than it appears.

Bran is so safe in Winterfell with Robb marching South with all his bannerman that someone would have to attack the North from the side, from the ocean almost, and have to know about Winterfell. Luckily we dont know no one like that
The Lanister scout said he had counted up to 20k soldiers before he was caught. If you remember a little earlier, Rob said they had 18k soldiers. Rob realized if he let the scout go, he would take back false information on Rob having a larger army than he actually does. If the Lanister's believe he has a larger army than he actually does, he can use that to his advantage. If they see only 18k in front of them, then they will keep more in reserve for a potential ambush or flanking maneuver which would give Rob's army a better chance in a pitched battle. It might also make the Lanister army more cautious if they think Rob's army is larger than it actually is compared to being more willing to rush into a fight with them if they realize the army isn't that big. There are lots of ways Rob could use this false information to his advantage.
No, it was a misdirection. If you recall Rob sends a small force to engage Tywin as a distraction. Meanwhile he took his main force to take out Jamie's army. That's how Jamie got caught.

I agree with people who have suggested that you view the videos on the history and lore of this world after each season. It give you a good perspective and knowledge on the past history of this world, (including House of Dragons.)

I started noticing what other people didn't. There's nothing like a year to reflect on a show u love until the new season. U can do that with HOTD now.
