@@wheelerwalkarounds The truck looks cool. Too bad they didn't take a Toyota V8 from a Lexus or something else rather than a Ford. Even putting an older 4Runner V6 would have been much better than a Ford V8. They just destroyed the chances of it going anywhere near 300k miles, let alone more.
@@sighermike I feel confident that our customer is enjoying it thoroughly. As with any build, its not gonna be for everyone. While I personally may have done some things differently or with different components the reality is that the build was done very well. I have seen a ton of these trucks in real life, lots of different builds, and this was up there in the top 3 for quality.....Just wait till you see what we have coming out here in a few days. When we had it, ours had the stock 4 cylinder in it but the 3.0 6 cylinder radiator is what you need. Same width just taller, then it can handle being a daily. Hope this helps! Good luck with your build!

what's up with the speedo, it's not working. you also said something at the first part of the vid about the front end not coming out until 1986 that was mistake. the correct year was 1982. correct me if I'm wrong. Overall nice looking except for the scoop and antenna's.

@@wheelerwalkarounds Nothing wrong with a fresh new stock look but in leather, Katzskin may be a good source. I’m always careful to keep the integrity of the stock interior by not modifying too much,drilling holes or otherwise bastardizing it. But I do like to hide modern touch’s like stereo systems, heated seats etc.
@@willy2192 ya some people like more stock, others want to make it their own. I've found that what I actually like best is heated cloth seats. Best of both worlds while keeping the stock and integrity of the seats.

I'm not sure how much he paid for that swap, we bought it exactly like this :) but we did have to install a bigger radiator in order to make it daily driveable. Heres a good link I found that will help you with the changes and has some great references on there too. www.northwestoffroad.com/parts/engineadapters.php .. sure did love that rig...
This truck is nice but the interior wires are showing in many places and there are far small tachometers (and screwing it right into the dashboard). A Ford 5.0 is alright but I'd rather (at this point in time) see a 5.3L LS Chevy just because there is so much support for it and they're overall a good engine. Exterior of the truck is great. My only exterior complaint would be the placement of the CB antennas as the best place for it is up high and center. That truck is also not nearly wide enough use co-phase CB antennas.

Hi! I own a 1987 LN65 with only 9600 Miles. The Firetruck has been on standby in a small Austrian Firedepartment in a village close to Vienna. Perfectly maintained, no rust at all. Double Cab, Diesel, Power steering, 5gear manual, 100% original., Who would know for how much I could sell it? Regards Franz

Good eye Randy, I just used my GPS for that. The transmission had an electronic speed sensor and Toyota didn't switch from cable driven until 92 I believe.
Toyotas are for anyone for any thing...it's for pavement or for the hills. We think they did a great job on the build, its a beautiful truck for whoever wants to daily it or wheel it.. the lady who bought decided to tear it up in the mountains.. videos coming soon.

I have the same year truck with same motor, what radiator did you use with the swap? Mine just blew
