Yeah, one thing I like about NC is that he's not reliant on swearing: he can make his points clear without emphasizing them. That's a crucial quality for a critic.
This fact only applies to the *Nostalgia Critic reviews* not to the First Viewings, Sibling Rivalry reviews/spoilers, etc. where he said it all year long. That's why I didn't notice because I watched most of those vids too!
I’m not saying a darker version of the nutcracker is a bad idea, I’m just saying that there is a right way to do it and this movie did it the worst way possible.
"and then they all lived happily ever after I guess?" except they totally didn't, because they're still a family with Jewish ancestry living in 1920s Vienna.
@@GoddessOfWhim2003 She actually passed in 2016. Granted this might be the 1st time it's been made clear in a review but many ppl already knew since her passing
Well of course we don't watch you for the f-word, it's actually not shocking at all in Germany. We watch you because of your walls. They are amazing. I like how the colour and texture changes over time.
3:34 Doug: But don’t you feel… Dirty, filming this? Rachel: I’ll tell you what Critic, I’ll have you watch the movie that inspired me for all of this “The Nutcracker in 3D” Malcom: What does it have Nazi’s in it? Rachel: Yes! Doug and Malcom: 0_0
I bawled my eyes out at the end of this review more than any movie I’ve ever watched, and this is a review of a movie that I was starting to think was just a nightmare I had when I was 8
@Arithomimus I don't know the details but I seem to recall she passed away not long after appearing in one of their Christmas reviews in 2015. The video is called "The Worst Christmas Special EVER!" and it's legitimately well done and very heartwarming. This video is a callback to that one. :)
I am so sorry. What DID you ask for? Actually, maybe the shorter answer would be, what DIDN'T you ask for, aside from this not been shown in theaters at all?
RIP, Mrs. Walker. You know, Doug said that his mom disapproved of his language in his show (I only just remembered at the end of this episode). I like that he may have went all year without using the F-word just for her. I cried at the footage of the Walker family. This was beautiful. God bless, Doug, Rob, and Barney. Have a wonderful Christmas.
It wouldn't have jumped the shark. It would have 1) Jumped the Shark 2) Came back to shoot it in the balls 3) Raped it 4) Ate its flesh 5) consumed its soul 6) Mounted it on the wall 7) AND THEN DONE THE SAME THING TO 12 MORE [f-word]-ING SHARKS (just to be safe)!
Pff. Please, I've got two better: this film makes SON OF THE MASK look like gone with the wind. 2: I would rather watch the 2004 Hulk with Henry Cavil's MUSTACHE as the protagonist, while having my testicles ELECTROCUTED.
"I ate your hamster when you weren't looking. He tasted like love." If I am capable of feeling romantic feelings for another human being, I want my hypothetical lover to serenade me with those words every other Thursday.
1. He really didn't say the F word in his reviews this whole season? Wow! Looks like Santa Christ won't be putting soap in his stocking this Christmas! 2. I can't believe you survived watching the single worst Nutcracker movie EVER! 3. That ending for your late mother was really sweet. :'(
I feel like a lot of the movie’s problems could have been fixed if they had set it AFTER the war instead of before. That way the children would have a reason to be thinking about Nazis and to use their imaginations to dramatize their defeat.
The end hit me hard. i was watching the review with his parents a few days ago and thought "yeah that was charming" and then i read the comments, where people said their sorry for dougs lost and so on, and i felt very sad after it, without knowing her... and now this ending was totally unexpected and left me in tears. the whole family is there, doug, rob, their father and the many friends they made over the years... and they are talking about the "special" and so on, and then its the speach of his mother combined with dougs very, very heartwhelming "lets watch it again" - i think this was the very first time in all nostalgia critic, where i felt there was the real doug. not overacting, not saying something scripted, just 100% what he felt. it really left me in tears. i hope you feel well, walker family. merry christmas to you.
Perhaps the Nazis were shown for patriotism? It's just that most of the people working on the film were from Russia. We have films of this quality, which is good. I notice the similarity with domestic paintings.
It's not the fact that they did it; it's how they handled it. The implications that she'll have to face the REAL Nazis some day, plus how she doesn't even bother saving the other toys.
Y'know.... it's funny. As soon as Rachel mentioned the F bomb I was like "But I haven't really heard him say it in a while..." Then I started to think more about that. That's how you prove a point. Declare it after it's been proven, not beforehand as if it's some grand thing. There are people that would try to bring you down for it. I'm hyped for the new office though, seeing as it tends to play into skits and such and can't help but wonder if this was a one time thing or if Rachel is back. As far as the touching ending goes, the emotion put into the simple line of "Let's watch it again" says far more than I could ever say. I resonate with that moment every Christmas. I don't "know" what you're going through, but I can understand it, my friend. My grandmother was the rock of our family. I have some pretty crappy childhood memories, but none of them are from when I was at her house. I even look back on the moments I got in trouble fondly, and one moment when I was being a total brat, with everlasting shame. It was the one time in my life I behaved like that. Whenever my family got together, it was because of her. She drew people in. Our very large (including my mom, she had 9 kids) family especially came together during Christmas. She owned several properties around her own home she would occasionally rent out, but they were there for when everyone came home. We lost her when I was in high school, some 18 years ago, throat cancer. Her absence is really felt during Christmas, even more so with her birthday just passing on the 16th. Sometimes I catch my mom caught up in a moment where I know she's reliving a memory, or wishing she was here and the only thing I can do then is mention something from the past and let her tell stories while I sit and listen. ...Thank you. True to the message of the video, you never know what inspires someone and how. But you've made me consider something I haven't before.
Yeah, the moment they said it I was trying to think of an F-bomb drop in a recent review and I couldn't. Then the end happened and, wow, not only was I right, but that was really clever. Would the following movies please take note... on second thought, the list will be shorter if I list the movies that do not need to do that. 1. John Wick series. 2. (most) Marvel Movies. 3... Well, I did say it would be short.
Thanks for making me cry reading this, lol. Very touching. I'm finally getting to see my older brother and grandmother this Christmas for the first time in over a decade. My grandmother is 78 and hasn't seen at least my older brother in two decades. I don't think we've told her our older brother will also be here. I ruined the surprise of my older brother arriving for my mom (it just slipped out, I flat forgot that my younger brother wanted to keep it a secret!) but I think my grandmother doesn't know. I say she's the one who is getting the best surprise because my older brother almost never calls here...for whatever reason. So now, they'll be able to just talk in person. I'm hoping nothing goes wrong as we've had some hiccups with all the planning but this weekend will finally reveal the fruits of our labor and have most of the family together.
@@geedee1264 Source? And not a he said, she said, I'm talking about a conviction and evidence without a doubt that he knew this person had committed this act.
I feel like they got the whole concept backwards, many kid's stories feature a kid entering a dreamworld where they fight monsters symbolizing the problems in their real world, and the film would have made so much more sense if the girl was living under nazi occupation and reality was bleak while her dreams were colorful and whimsical and the rat king was a symbol of the real world threat of nazis rather than making it the other way around, but Nutcracker 3D shows the 20's Europe as a fun and happy place while the kids imaginations are full of random horror for no reason.
Fun Fact: At 11:11, the part of the Home Alone main theme they chose is known as “Somewhere in my Memory” and it actually has lyrics, but the ones in the joke are vastly different than the ones in the actual movie.
when i first saw this i was like "oh hey a movie about the nutcracker, this should be interesting... why is albert einstein in here and why is he singing about the theory of relativity?"
Ugh because IT'S THE NUTCRACKER, THAT'S WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT!!!! I actually wonder if there's some confused kid out there who would actually say that because it's the only version they actually watched(I honestly don't think I've ever sat through the whole story either tbh, I couldn't recall the order of the events off the top of my head at least, I've only ever seen bits and pieces of remakes and dances and have a general idea of it lol)
Rachel: He just doesn't get it! It's always more important to be loud than to be right. Rob: You're on Twitter, aren't you? Most hilarious line of 2018.
also, very accurate line, It's always more important to be loud than to be right. Many people probably think that in real life, and in truth, It's actually more important to be right than to be loud.
I'm sure this will get lost in the comments, but I wanted to take a moment to thank the entire crew of Channel Awesome for bringing hours of joy, laughter, and even education into my life as well as thousands of others. This is one of the best reviews/episodes you've ever done on the channel. The ending scene was so touching and it actually brought tears to my eyes. I love how much work, effort, and heart goes into every one of your videos, but especially the Christmas Special. Thank you so much for all you guys do. Looking forward to the new space and all the awesomeness to come in 2019! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Love, Alexandria
yeah, especially after having a whole 35 minutes on how tone deaf some media can be, using terrifying imagery and Nazis. But I'm glad Critic definitely didn't wall into that at all
Foxy 02016 the joke is Tamra has a series where she reviews movies she has watched so he’s telling her not to watch it but it’s meta because she plays Kevin in Rachel’s home alone
Man, you have the most supportive family I've ever seen. Going so far as to star and help you make these reviews can not only be fun for everyone, but bring a family closer together.
First I was laughing. Great job everyone like always. Then I was disgusted. Damn you Nutcracker 3D. Then I felt warm inside. Thank you for sharing that moment with us. Love and good wishes for the NC crew and awesome super friends. And merry Christmas.
As Russian myself, i must provide some context and explain, why there is so many russian comments under this video. There is one famous family in Russia - Mihalkovs. Most known are Sergey Mihalkov (he is dead now), his son Nikita Mihalkov and his brother Andrey Konchalovsky (He just taked his father's wife surname, and he is autor of this horrible version of Nutcracker). They are was beloved talanted directors and writers in the Soviet times, wich films and other creations was very popular in the Soviet Union (For example, Sergey Mihalkov was autor of the USSR/Russian hymn). But when Soviet Union collapsed, they are showed their true nature as hypocrite sycophants and sneaky trimmers. Their films and books was produced in USSR with huge help and offitial support from communist goverment, but those guys started to screaming about "horrors of Stalin's regime" and licking Eltsyn and Putin asses. It would be not so terrible at all (besides, such hypocrite behaviour is common among russian "creative class", and their example is not unique), but they are started to produce really shitty films, screaming about their "unique vision", when it was just over pretentious antilogical stupid crap with cheap and horrible CGI, poorly imitaiting Hollywood films. And each time, when their films crap meet finance fail and negative rewievs in the Internet (expetially well-known UA-cam reviews from blogger BadComedian, incuding NutCracker), this brothers usually screaming in their intervievs, that they are genius, and all russian people are just stupid redneks, who can't understand their unique vision. That's why they are so despicable among russians.
That’s “lets watch it again” is what finally broke me. My grandmother is dying of lung cancer she’s fighting but it’s hard. This is just...I don’t have words. Thank you Doug.
There are many strange adaptations of The Nutcracker. (The best adaptation was the live ballet at the Riverside Community College performing theater in 2015) Disney tried to be experimental with The Four Realms which had little to do with the story at all, there's a Care Bears adaptation, and The Nuttiest Nutcracker is one of the weirder ones.
For those of you who can't put on finger on the Nutcracker's voice: it's Shirley Henderson, who played Moaning Myrtle in the Harry Potter films. You're welcome.
Wow, I didn’t even notice you didn’t say the F word throughout the whole year. This episode hit me in the feels as well. Like I’ve never been so mad at a movie I’ve never seen, nor would want to in my life. I couldn’t believe not one thing was done right in it. I also feel happy for watching this and knowing that you’ve grown as an adult, I’m trying to grow as well. Merry Christmas, NC.
If I remember correctly, the director of Nutcracker 3D grew up in Russia during the real WWII and its aftermath, and one of his few consistently happy childhood memories was The Nutcracker. That still doesn't explain why he thought this would be a good way to discuss Nazism OR The Nutcracker. In fact, it kind of just leaves me with more questions than before.
If he wanted to include it, he could have started the movie with the real world set in WW2 with the children evacuated with their uncle Albert to America (since that's what Einstein did). Then the dream world would be her fantasy escape until facing the rats, ending with the fairy telling her to not give up hope as she's waking up to Christmas Day. She finds a note from her parents telling her and Max that they're coming to America soon.
Of course you guys would be fine from this............. Let's not forget that Time Russians Rose from the Dead to Stop the German army from taking Osowiec Fortress..... Russians are basically Immortal
It is reviews like these why I will never stop watching NC. I can't think of another UA-cam Channel putting so much genuine emotion into its videos. I watch a lot of reviews, top tens, all this stuff, but they never are personally touching or addressing it in a way like you guys do. I honestly love your Show, your whole Crew and everything your project stand for. You are the good guys of the Internet! Merry Christmas to you All.

Despite the controversy they faced earlier this year, I’m glad Doug and the gang still works hard to put out great videos like this one. Happy holidays to you guys and Rest In Peace Mrs. Walker.
I like how they changed the music in the credits. i mean imagine if they didn't. like after that emotional calm scene of everyone sitting together and after the tribute for doug's mom it just cuts to the normal rock music that plays in the end credits of every nostalgia critic video. that was very smart of them.
i didn't know if she had crossed the river when i saw that, found out after a quick search and yes it hit me like a Mac, to Honor Mrs. Walker and my mom i will endeavor to enrich the family as much as i can
This is going to get lost in the comments but whatever. The Christmas special they watched at the end I saw the first year I was stationed overseas. It was the first year I was alone during the holidays. I took Mrs. Walker's advice. I spent Christmas with other people who were alone. We spent the next Christmas together too. They moved away after that, but we still keep in touch. Because of her advice I made friends that have lasted for about 6 years now, and I've never been alone for a Christmas. Never even thought of that until this video. So, from someone you have never met before. Thank you.Edit: Well, y'all showed me. Didn't get lost at all. Thanks for the likes.
Watching this again now is very surreal because my mom passed away suddenly about a month ago. We didn't always see eye to eye and would argue a lot... but seeing the message from Mama Critic broke me. It made me analyse the relationship I had with mom and while we disagreed I can safely say she loved me immensely. I miss her daily but I'll forever cherish the time I did get with her. Thank you Channel Awesome for helping me find a little bit of peace just now.
You know a human-like villain that gets creepy rat teeth/jaws and such when he loses his temper, slowly revealing his true appearances, is an idea with potential. For a horror movie. This is definitely a horror movie. Also, thanks for that ending and the ugly cry it gave me.
I feel like Don Bluth should've adapted the Nutcracker back in the golden days, his style of animation would've been perfect. Just imagine what a cool rat king and Herr Drosselmeyer he could've given us. I will never understand why the hell we can't get an adaptation that actually follows the original story, is set in Germany, with costumes and design accurate to the time period and no Tchaikovsky's music in it since the fairytale wasn't originally written as a ballet and Tchaikovsky based it upon the Dumas' version of the novel anyway :(
BellringerKat it would have been fantastic, not only that I feel like his design for the sugar plum fairy and the snowflakes would have been the fantastic typical don blush glitter extravaganza that we all love
Huh. That's actually a really good point. I mean I like the 1990 animated one fine as a guilty pleasure, but maybe Don Bluth could have come up with something better. At the very least, he wouldn't change animation styles like the 1990 one.
Agreed. Don Bluth would of done an amazing job with his version of the Nutcracker. Would be like Thumbelina but even better. Just...tell him to please leave his fetish out of the film, thank you. lol
Honestly I'll take Tim Curry as any animated villian from the Rat King in Barbie and the Nut Cracked to Trader Jay Slick from Jumanji The Animated Series.
Jesus Christ, if this is not one of the best episodes of the NC ever... The jokes, Rachel, that ending, all the guests, that amazing ending... This episode had things that made me laugh, think, tear up.. Just in 40 minutes. This is pure art. Thanks Doug, just thanks, regardless what people say NC is just getting better and better.
Our Russian blogger, called BadComedian, did his review on this movie a long time ago, however, it doesn't have English subs, so you probably won't be able to watch it. The Mikhalkovs family (Andrey Konchalovsky is its member) used to be fery influential and prominent in the Soviet times, but now many Russians don't really like them, they have become too arrogant.
You guys better work on subbing it now - we'd love to hear a Russian perspective on that. (He already has the "Russian Avengers" review splendidly subtitled, so why not the review on this too...)
That ending was actually touching. When people still say the walker brothers are asshats, just point to this scene. There's defenitely some heart in there.
@@PancakemonsterFO4 never say those 4 words at the end. dont presume, just let them experience and get conclusions for themselves. saying that just takes away part of what makes it special. its like talking YOU WILL GET SCARED FROM THIS MOVIE, then the person prepares not to be scared and enjoys less of what the movie would give them.
Lucas Biermann oh trust me, when you finally arrive at this point it will catch you off guard BECAUSE THE SHRINE MAIDEN IS A GUY, THE CAT MAID IS A HARDCORE TOURNAMENT CHAMP AND THE GIRL FROM THE TV STORE KNOWS MORE THEN SHE PRETENDS. I think that should cover most spoilers of the game. Also the mastermind is Junko and Darth Vader is Luke’s father
The ending of this review really got to me, but I think, without even knowing her, it was a fitting tribute. I don't celebrate myself, but Merry Christmas everyone.
Im not crying. WE are crying. All the love to the Walker family and the Channel Awesome family this holiday, and I hope the new year brings you joy and prosperity.
Critic: our goal is to be as forgettable as nutcracker and the 4 relms. Me: that film was grea... Critic: admit it, you forgot that was even a thing Me: I...
Those scenes with the AVGN talking about Rachael's take on Home Alone are pretty timely, seeing as how his most recent episode involved him playing Home Alone games with Maculaly Culkin himself.
Yo coming back to this after watching the Guillermo del Toro Pinocchio is soooo funny (PS, not to say Pinocchio was bad, but the fact that it so effortlessly succeeded at what Nutcracker 3D couldn't, is wild)
Amazing episode. My mind was blown though when I too realized NC never said the F word once all year. also R.I.P. Mama-Critic, may her soul rest peacefully.
Slayer Central Yah, I think he didn’t out of Respect. Also... I do feel the “Let’s watch it again” was definitely the REAL Doug talking... not NC... no Script... but the real Doug Walker
They’re now actually remaking it, the kid who played Yorkie in Jojo Rabbit is in the lead and Ellie Kemper and Rob Delany are the villains, no word on a Culkin cameo though
I lost my dad this year and its been a really hard christmas so far im trying to be happy for everyone but idk this special made me cry and laugh and helped me feel a little better thank you
I lost my mom in March. I definitely understand and I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope that things are a bit better for you this year and that you were able to enjoy Christmas a little more.
I've grown up watching The Critic ever since elementary school. Waiting until Mom wasn't home since he could get so heated at horrible movies and exaggerate the anger to the point where I couldn't help but laugh. Through the years, I've appreciated more and more the content of this channel, even sparking my own love for writing reviews and studying film. This review out of all the years of Critic's content is my personal favourite. It encompasses everything this channel is. Education, humour, togetherness, and of course nostalgia. Seeing Rachel again immediately brightened my day and gave m a genuine smile, which is rare for this time of year. Even though I'm only sixteen, I've spent the last five years of Christmas alone as family wants nothing to do with the holiday and very little to do with me. Before that, Christmas was a time to be left, threatened, or fought with by family. As soon as the Critic's mother said her piece, I teared up. Such a pure, caring voice is unprecidented during this season in my life, and to have it come from the parent of one of my idols made it all the more powerful. When I found out she passed away, it hit me hard. Though I do not know anyone on Channel Awesome personally, nor the Critic, nor his mother, I felt this loss. I guess I only have three things to say really: I'm sorry for your loss Walker family. I can not imagine how difficult this may be for you. I would also like to thank you for the countless laughing fits and days made by just posting videos on stupid movies. At the very least, know you made a young man's childhood livable. Finally, merry Christmas. You all deserve it. Thank you all for being you.
I may not have much to say but it did make me cry myself and I'm only a few years older than you, but first off always keep something to motivate you no matter what, secondly (please don't take it as me being rude) keep high grades in your school, study up and everything with breaks, and lastly... Merry Christmas, and a happy new year to you. Everyone deserves to have it said to them even if they don't celebrate it, and if they do no matter what.
@@Demicleas I don't know. I tried to find news about it, but to no avail. Usually in Russian schools, children are taken to some historical films, like the Union of Salvation. This is the first time I've heard of schoolchildren being driven to a feature film.

He killed the shark because he was afraid that the movie might jump it.
Yeah, maybe that would have worked if they hadn't already been doing cartwheels over its head.
The movie already did by adding by adding words to the music, starting a the the beginning with Nathan Lane
The movie was already rocketing above sharks, dolphins, whales, the Titanic, the Navy, Poseidon, etc. since its conception
It wouldn't have jumped the shark. It would have
1) Jumped the Shark
2) Came back to shoot it in the balls
3) Raped it
4) Ate its flesh
5) consumed its soul
6) Mounted it on the wall
7) AND THEN DONE THE SAME THING TO 12 MORE [f-word]-ING SHARKS (just to be safe)!

Agreed
You know, Nazis and holocaust references. Perfect child friendly material.
Clearly! Maybe they should have included a few train rides to the... "special camps."
A Family Picture!
Well we need children to know what pure evil is
Perhaps the Nazis were shown for patriotism? It's just that most of the people working on the film were from Russia. We have films of this quality, which is good. I notice the similarity with domestic paintings.
It's not the fact that they did it; it's how they handled it. The implications that she'll have to face the REAL Nazis some day, plus how she doesn't even bother saving the other toys.
No lie, I flipped when I saw Rachel. Fucking missed her

Same man. I almost (I did) screamed
Y'know....
That's a sweet and touching story, I'm sorry for your loss, and I hope ya have a merry Christmas.

If this does take place in the 20s it gets darker cause this means the girl had a prophetic dream of Nazis and genocide. A FAMILY PICTURE!

It would be not so terrible at all (besides, such hypocrite behaviour is common among russian "creative class", and their example is not unique), but they are started to produce really shitty films, screaming about their "unique vision", when it was just over
pretentious antilogical stupid crap with cheap and horrible CGI, poorly imitaiting Hollywood films.
Thanks for the lesson.

Huh. That's actually a really good point. I mean I like the 1990 animated one fine as a guilty pleasure, but maybe Don Bluth could have come up with something better. At the very least, he wouldn't change animation styles like the 1990 one.
Wow I never knew that!!!
Agreed. Don Bluth would of done an amazing job with his version of the Nutcracker. Would be like Thumbelina but even better. Just...tell him to please leave his fetish out of the film, thank you. lol
BellringerKat also NO NAZIS, that’s not the only thing Germany is famous for
Friendly reminder that Barbie had a nutcracker movie where Tim Curry played the rat king.
Just an option for a pallet cleanser.
RetroGamer90 I always skip everything that isn’t him talking about the movie. The skits and other guests are always cringe.
Walter Dis Not this time
Our Russian blogger, called BadComedian, did his review on this movie a long time ago, however, it doesn't have English subs, so you probably won't be able to watch it.
@@jakmanxyom This would be a great idea, actually. Maybe I could work on this one day.
Lol no you won't, ever.
@@siddbastard why?
@@dariariazantseva1373 I hope you do work on it as i would apperciate seeing this also.

I missed Chester A. Bum saying: "Oh my God, it's the worst movie I've ever seen in my entire life!".
That would have been perfect! Maybe with Doe, even!
That ending was actually touching. When people still say the walker brothers are asshats, just point to this scene. There's defenitely some heart in there.
They loved their mother very much. Sandy's death deeply affected Doug. His grief caused him to go bald.
To be honest, I have never cried at anything if it didn't directly effected me..... until now.... Respects to Doug, Rob and your Father...
took the words outta my mouth
Iron Sword you should really play clannad or Steins Gate then. Trust me, those visual novels WILL MAKE YOU CRY
Same
The ending of this review really got to me, but I think, without even knowing her, it was a fitting tribute. I don't celebrate myself, but Merry Christmas everyone.
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas
Im not crying.
WE are crying. All the love to the Walker family and the Channel Awesome family this holiday, and I hope the new year brings you joy and prosperity.
Did his mom died 😟 *?*
Yeah, a while ago, cant remember when lol
Critic: our goal is to be as forgettable as nutcracker and the 4 relms.
Me: that film was grea...
Critic: admit it, you forgot that was even a thing
Me: I...
At first i thought "Well aren't you full of yourself" when i saw them watching Critic's own review
Then i found out that his mother passed...
Dashing Steel wow! Your way behind
@@loggior.speedweed4345 Well, I didn't know too because I just come here for reviews and don't follow them on twitter or go on reddit etc etc.
@@zombieslayer2016 Oh my bad, I missed this one. Tbh I just watch NC reviews and no other CA content. but thanks for the (sad) info

Those scenes with the AVGN talking about Rachael's take on Home Alone are pretty timely, seeing as how his most recent episode involved him playing Home Alone games with Maculaly Culkin himself.
Culkin was pretty damn entertaining playing Pagemaster and being in the AVGN episode.
Ooo if only he appeared behind his couch saying bad things about the movie, it would have been perfect
I love the fact that is AVGN instead of James Rolfe
27:33
And the Nazism in the movie got boosted up with A CHILD BEING CAGED IN A LABORATORY!!!!
Sweet mother of anything, this movie is horrid.
Yo coming back to this after watching the Guillermo del Toro Pinocchio is soooo funny
(PS, not to say Pinocchio was bad, but the fact that it so effortlessly succeeded at what Nutcracker 3D couldn't, is wild)
If home alone gets remade, they should have Macaulay Culkin either be the guy with the Tommy gun or the pizza boy
Or as the father or one of the family members, or even as old man Marley
They’re now actually remaking it, the kid who played Yorkie in Jojo Rabbit is in the lead and Ellie Kemper and Rob Delany are the villains, no word on a Culkin cameo though
Angry video game nerd actually did that with the pizza boy
Give the pizza boy a Tommy gun! "You'll think twice before you refuse to give me a tip!"
Pretty sure he is Hollywood blacklisted for supporting MJ
I lost my dad this year and its been a really hard christmas so far im trying to be happy for everyone but idk this special made me cry and laugh and helped me feel a little better thank you
Lost my dad this year, too.
Im so sorry for your loss..i wish the best for you
Yeah, I lost my dad two years ago. Holidays are the hardest time after that. Sorry for your loss.
I lost my mom in March. I definitely understand and I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope that things are a bit better for you this year and that you were able to enjoy Christmas a little more.
I hope you feeling better. ;)
I cried sad tears i cried happy tears thank you nostalgia critic for making every year a good and merry Christmas
Krieg Zer0 I’m sorry you had to spend your Christmases like that...you can talk about if you want to. People say I’m good at giving advice. :)
Infinity War is the most ambitious crossover in history..

R.I.P Mama Critic..
Guess you missed "the fight"
In Russia, schoolchildren were forcibly led to watch this film, it is not surprising that many chose to skip lessons just not to see this masterpiece.
But WHY?!
@@Demicleas I don't know. I tried to find news about it, but to no avail. Usually in Russian schools, children are taken to some historical films, like the Union of Salvation. This is the first time I've heard of schoolchildren being driven to a feature film.
