This can help identify a whole host of issues when paired with the service manual found within the cabinet of the washer or downloaded online. Did you replace anything in the unit or was yours just not working right?
Sometimes people put new shift actuators in and the machine still won’t run correctly…that’s because there is a speed sensor on the new actuator that needs to be calibrated.
@@joshcobb4100I have a washer just like this one. Water level is very low (doesn't even cover the clothes). Would running the calibration mode fix this? Also, is the fill level switch built into the control board? Thanks!

The lid lock switch keep clicking after diagnostic is complete after rinse and start button is pressed yet its still not working? What's the next step?
I added the new lid lock and lock relay. Will this method still be the same for that?

I did this with our 2 year old hardly used washer and it worked great. But now it’s messing up again. We had a tech out, who said it wouldn’t spin because there was rust in the drain filter. He cleaned it, it worked for 6 loads of laundry, now it’s doing it again. Do you believe well water is causing ours to wash, but not rinse or spin?
The only thing difference between my model and yours is, where it says “ soil level “ on yours, it says “ water level “ on mine. it goes, from left to right, auto was second, auto, deep feel, and deep with second ones. Which setting should I put on?

My kids lock I replaced it and still keeps clicking like it wants to lock but doesn't. It will sense and wash but won't lock to go to the next cycle
My Kenmore washer stopped mid cycle. The rinse and spin light was on. I did this procedure and the sensing light came on. Then it started to fill. Hopefully it will finish the cycle and it’ll be good. Fingers crossed.

I’ve been having problems with my washer not wanting to spin. What do you recommend? I already changed the water inlet valve and it’s still the same. Plz HELP.
Sometimes the pulley can hollow out on the motor shaft…and just make a terrible noise while not spinning anything. Might check there.
I’ve had to stop my washer in the middle of a rinse spin cycle because of unbalance and it slamming the drum inside. Is it ok to just do a periodic reset even if nothing has been done to the washer at all? Thanks!
Yes, but it won’t fix anything if the shocks are worn out.
How do you do that to an older kenmore machine with no start button and no led's?

My washer goes through complete spin 10% of the time. It regularly stops when spinning about half way. Should it be calibrated? Kenmore 6 flashing lighs. 1:59

My washing machine is the one in the image and I turn it on, it pulls well, it just fills up and washes for about 1 minute, it pours the water and makes noise and the lights don't turn on anymore

Sounds like a lid locking issue.
I have this exact washer and no matter what size load I put in the machine will only fill 1/3 full? I have new hoses on it, and the water valves are turned on all the way.
I ran the diagnostic from this video on it and it worked exactly like it did for you in the video.
Is there a part I can order so that I can fix this issue or am I going to have to call a repair man?

Check your manual, but on mine, which is the Amana version, the "normal" wash mode only does auto-sensing fill which only does about 1/3 of the tub or so. What if you change the dial to deep wash? These newer high efficiency washers don't fill the tub all the way like the old school washers did. it's usually just enough to cover the clothes.
My Kenmore W100 does as you show... Until pressing the "START". I get all the Green Lights, but NO "Lock" light. And it just sits, after 5-6 minutes, nothing has happened. And still no "Lock or Light". I changed the Shock Rods and Fittings, because of dancing around the floor. Was working fine until the Dancing... hehehe
Sounds like your lock switch might be bad

You don’t have to turn off the water unless you are unhooking it.
My mother has a Kenmore 100 and the spin light keeps blinking after a wash and not blinking complete any help on how to fix it?
You would have to run the service diagnostics mode and check the codes to find out.

Left my lid up too long Kenmore series 100....began draining and will not stop unless I unplug. Replug and the same thing. Also, the indicator lights are out. Any help?
Hold the power button for 20 seconds.
So question when I do that, Al my lights light up I turn to rinse then my lid won’t lock and all my lights turn off. What else could it be?

My just stays on wash after I did that does it mean I need to get a part
If it's stopping you'll want to recheck the codes and see what code it's showing after calibration
Hi Thank you. So I tried your calibration settings for a locked lid. Nothing but a flashing red light still. No water. It's silent with the flashing locked lid lid. What else could we try? Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Try unplugging it for 10 minutes. If still flashing red light it means the lid lock is jammed “locked”.
Yes it is jammed. Unplugged it several times. It's ok it's ok it's done it time. User a hammer and popped it open.. So purchased another one. Thank you so much.
Mine starts filling and before I know it, it's already draining. 3 diff repair guys were supposed to come take a look but nothing. We are having to load up both vehicles every weekend and spending upwards of $50 at the nasty laundry mat. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be forever grateful. Sincerely one stressed working mama 😢
If your water inlet filters are clogged and it’s taking forever to fill up with water…it will error out and just drain the water out and shut down. Also want to make sure your drain hose has elevation and is not going into a floor drain otherwise it will just drain the water out as it fills up. I would check these things first. Also, if the lid lock is busted, and it can’t lock, it will never move through the cycles.
I did this calibration and I hear like grinding in my washer thru some of the cycles can you steer me in the right direction please I would appreciate it thanks
Could be the pump grinding on a Bobby pin, or the shift actuator going bad. It’s a process of elimination.

Hi quick question
I got the washer to bring all the lights up then I turn the dial untill it only says rinse
I press start and then the lights blink like it’s in loading mode but backwards from right to left then I hear a click (not the lid locking) and all the lights go off and nothing happens
The lid lock was just replaced
And idea what could be wrong?
If you hear a click and it's not the lid lock, it's probably the shift actuator. If it's after that click that it errors out, might try replacing the actuator.

@@bruce7259 I have watched a bunch of UA-cam videos and for my washer I’m not sure about the actuator there was a video that said something along the lines of the control board needing to be replaced but that it’s almost as expensive as getting a used washer so for now I have a toggle switch on the washer to make it work it’s a bit of a process but it works for now

After Calibration? Unplug for 5 mins and plug back in, wait a few and see if that works

Unfortunately you can’t. Best suggestion is to dump a pitcher of water on your clothes before you start your load. That way the machine will think the load is heavier and use more water….best suggestion I’ve been able to come up with.

Correct. The heavier it thinks the load is the more water it will use. It has a sensor that measures the spin speed, and based on spin speed it’ll detect how much it thinks is in the tub (more power to spin the drum up to a certain speed = heavier load).

@@Undead_Nightmare I have the same washer as this one and I would put it on normal setting, I could throw in 6 or 7 shirts and a few pair of socks and there was barely any water in it, I could put my arm in and touch bottom and the water was only a little way up my forearm, clothes seemed like they were half out of water. I started setting it on the deep wash setting and there's a lot more water in it when I do laundry

@@beefabulous7968 My shift actuator had went out so I manually drained the water and bought a replacement piece from Amazon. Works fine now
Oh nice I took mine apart and checked all drains to make sure nothing was blocking left unplugged for like a week lol I was about to give up 🤦🤦🤦 plugged it back in and she is working again
Try holding the power button for 12 seconds to cancel the sensing and reset the Washer.
It acted like it was working then it got stuck and. Rinse and won’t drain and the door won’t unlock

So you did calibration but instead of finishing the calibration, your spin light is flashing?
I did this on the Kenmore 500 series and it will not complete the calibration cycle - it only works for maybe 30 seconds or so.
Sounds like you need to run the automatic test cycle and see what fails out.

@@joshcobb4100 I was pissed man. Ended up selling it for $50. Guy that bought it said all it needed was the screen in the back cleaned out. We have well water and apparently that’s a problem. Wasn’t anything wrong with it man. Sold a perfectly good washer to some crackhead smh.
