We had a Durango RT for several years and it was a great vehicle it just didn’t have the giddy up it needed to match its aggressive looks. We traded recently to a new SRT and boy that’s how they should be all built! Now performance matches it’s bold looks. Sad to see these going away.
Solid review! I have a 22 SRT with family using third row every day. It works for my purposes. It's easy to switch drive modes to avoid 4cyl mode. Solid Dad SUV if you want a little excitement. Dodge quality is a step down from Euro makers, but price reflects that.
FYI - Eco mode....Along with lazy shifts the transmission starts in 2nd - its great if you have a dog in the back or groceries. It wont fling dogs or bread all over from the torque
I own a 2018 Durango SRT. This model was NHRA certified to do 0-60in 4.4 seconds and 12.9 in the quarter mile. I personally have GPS validated 0-60 times of 4.2 in stock form. Not sure why this data changed, perhaps it was “tweaked” to make the SRT Hellcat look more impressive?
At this point, i won't be swayed yet by EVs. I will consider hybrids bit not yet EVs. Not until it is proven that it is cleaner (as battery disposal isnt cleaner in it self); infrastructure for charging is better; safety of battery. I do have the RT Durango and i know when everyone of you has an EV, id enjoy my semi classic v8😊
I thought the seats were pretty comfortable for the type that they were. I find GM seats to be the hardest like the Chevy Traverse or GMC Yukon, especially the back seat benches.
@@MGReviewsBlog Interesting. I think my friend had some custom / optional seats. I will have to ask him about those. For my aging back I find the seats in Ford Expedition / Max the most accommodating on long trips. I drove for thousands of miles with no discomfort.
man... that's what i thought exactly for some time. that these front seats are made for Spartans and they don't feel as comfortable as you expect them to be. but i drive quite a lot. 64k miles in 2 years. i never ever had any complains from my back about these seats. i never got tired. i drove some rentals sometimes and my back screamed right away. therefore i no longer complain about front seats anymore :)
The pirrelis are crap got 19k and at the cords on my 21 ddsrt. It now has some excelent continental dws06+ way better. Factory alignment is very negitive agressive on the camber and they just eat tires. Love mine, actually just bought it out at my lease expire.
Thanks! I export my videos at 1920 x 960. I'd love to do 4k resolution at the same widescreen format but my camera can't film 4k at 60p and I don't have the money right now to upgrade :/ One day....
What happened with the brake lights at 2:05 ? Looks like they glitched out and made only 1 brake light come on and by the looks of it, the front lights acted up as well and then worked normally.
wow, good catch on the brake lights! Normally, they may look like they're "glitching" because of the frame rate and rolling shutter of the camera. This is my 3rd or 4th night time video so I was a bit more conscious of this and tried to eliminate it. But the brake light thing you mention wouldn't be a cause of this so I'm not sure what happened there...
@@MGReviewsBlog ya I thought at first maybe it was slowed down and the turn signal was just on but i watched a few times and it was at a normal speed and then both the passenger and third brake light activated at the same time. If you look closely to the front you can see the front lights by the ground it looks like they acted up a little bit to when it was doing that. Hopefully it’s not anything serious and just a 1 time thing but at least now you know and have it on video in case anything happens
@MGReviewsBlog The was a big class action suit. Unfortunately, I missed out on it. Then, someone invented the VCF Tuner. It keeps all cylinders on at all times. I bought one and it works. In the Honda, it was called ECO mode.
Very nice SUV. Forcing literally everyone to go full EV will be a disaster on so many levels. At least with PHEV there is realistic range and capability without mining the earth to destruction and overloading power grids worldwide.
Completely agree with you. PHEVs are the best of both worlds in my opinion. Sadly, politicians that write these laws which will ban gasoline engines are too short sighted. It's one thing to force manufacturers to produce only EVs, but if the infrastructure to support them or have enough materials to build the batteries isn't there, then what are going to drive in? Fred Flinstone's car?
Unfortunately I don't have any equipment or a safe area to perform my own 0-100 km/h tests so i can only go off the times that Dodge provide in their press releases. There are different factors that can affect 0-100 km/h times. Ambient temperature, tire temperature, prepped or dirty tarmac, 0-60 mph vs 0-100 km/h, etc.
What are those flaps under the front bumper on each side in front of the tires? What is the purpose of them? I have a 2021 Durango GT and both have broke and just hanging there.
It depends on where you live in the world. Here in Vancouver, the majority of electricity generated is from hydro. But you are 100% correct. Other parts of the world still rely on coal or natural gas. Plus producing an electric car isn't as environmentally friendly as producing a gasoline-only vehicle.

Did the exact same, had a 2020 r/t and traded for a 2023 392 premium, unbelievable, no regrets
Agreed 360 HP is a joke. I saw a Durango RT get smoked by a Tahoe😂
@@Wins_And_Losses GM's 6.2L doesn't have any issues laying the smack down on a 5.7 Hemi. The GM 5.3L doesn't have much though.
@@troyt5309 Yeah it definitely was a 6.2 the 5.3 only pushes 355 HP
They’re not going away they’re still making it in 2024 it’s literally a 2024 model out
I thoroughly enjoyed your comprehensive review if the 2022 Dodge Durango SRT,
Well done!
Thank you! I hope you have a chance to check out some of my other reviews.

If I may say you do a awesome job on getting those angles for that SUV.
Yes, you may say that haha. Thanks!
Great review I’ve owed mine for a year custom order brand new , u nailed this review

Great review, one of my dream vehicles. It’s one fast grocery getter! Lol

I took a ride in one (I did not drive), and I did not understand why the front seats were so hard. It was almost like sitting on a park bench.

I also added the zl1addons rock guards. I live in colorado and wanted some protection from the sanded roads. They are minimal work and look good too.
Cool 😎 intro dude!✌🏾

Will you please add the US standards of measurement, like MPG, since your videos are heard outside of the Maple Leaf 🍁 too?
The conversions are displayed on the screen as I say them in the metric system.
The he'll cat bandit edition should come with a 50 cal under rear bumper
Great video, but one suggestion. You may want to add US figures to your videos for us Americans 😊. The editing and music is outstanding!
Thanks! I have the imperial conversions displayed on the screen as I say them. Lbs, mpg, cu-ft, usd, etc...
@MGReviewsBlog Thanks, guess I missed it 😂
Maybe an hybrid gas and electric too. Oop😊
A hybrid V8 would be cool. More power but better efficiency. But not electric. An electric SRT would lose its character.

In my old Honda Odyssey, with eco mode dropping down to 3 cylinders, it ruined all the engine mounts.
Yikes! Did Honda replace them under warranty?

Three sre so many environmental negatives with EV's. I could wrote a short story discussing it.

EVs plugged into a fossil fuel generated electrical grid, isnt saving the environment whatsoever.
