Ive seen a few like this in rural areas such as this, it appears to be a former hunter's get away house. Esp with the basement, and mud room. There is a lot of land there to hunt, and the hunting is good in the south, so maybe the owner bought it and made it a family home before he lost his. I just wonder where his family went or why they left. Such a strange place, that Bug gave me Ted Bundy vibes, he used them in his crime sprees.
I do believe that's a den? Being as there was a formal living room? I'm 57 and when I was younger we lived in a house that had formal living room and a den. Love the video's.
Could have been a gorgeous home if set up properly. I can’t imagine having that much space after moving to a small house! You have the best job on Earth! My husband And I love to watch your videos! Blessings and Merry Christmas!
I love your videos. What creeped me out the most in this house, besides the basement is the chair with table in front of the tv. I can imagine he sat there watching the the lil girl in the basement on cctv. There is place for the tv in the living room on the fireplace mantle, so thats why i get that vibe where the tv is. Gives me the heebie jeebies. And the dvd of The Strangers in there...eeeek!
@@ledfootlindy I believe your right about that!! Crazy thing for me is that little T.V with the DVD player. I have one of those T.V's right now upstairs in my house, my granddaughter's use it when they come for one of their many visits. That makes me want to let my granddaughter's (who are in college now) take that thing back to school with them. Creepy for sure!!!!
I love your delivery as you walk through the house. Your voice is very engaging and kind. I find it very well done the way you scan the area as you walk through and then have the slow playback of the area with a still camera. The drone footage is great as well. As someone who loves a good story, I wish you would cover all the basic questions “who?” “what” “where” and “when” Who is the perpetrator? Where is this? Even simply City and State would be awesome. When? Either when was the house abandoned or when did his family die? Or how long did he keep her in the house? Even when going to locations without this dark history, it really helps people stay engaged when basic questions are addressed and answered. Just my opinion. Continue your awesome work. Thx
So secluded in the country, so traumatic for that little girl. Hope she is okay from all this !! All the rooms are so broke up !! Thanks Big Bankz , great video !! Have a great Christmas 🌲!!
It shows how losing someone you truly love can completely change you. The fact that there used to be a happy family here and now it has the back story that is has is just really heartbreaking. I hope the cat got rescued too.
Interesting video. I read up on this Filyaw fellow, who a lot of people think is being referred to as the kidnapper. Filyaw was an alcoholic who couldn't hold a job, and he kidnapped and raped a 14 year old girl for 10 days back in 2006, after which she was able to use his phone to text several people, which led to her rescue. This all took place in a primitive bunker he had built in the woods, not a house, and the bunker was blown up by authorities after the trial was over. Filyaw was sentenced to 423 years in jail and died there in 2021 at the age of 51. This wasn't Filyaw's house- he was a loser with no money and couldn't have afforded to buy a house. So maybe BigBankz is referring to someone else, or this is simply an interesting abandoned house without a dark history. Hope that adds some clarity.
Crazy.. I love exploring abandoned places but it makes it so much more awesome when there’s history behind the location. Great video and keep up the good work Mr. Bankz 🤙🏼

The thing you picked up after the shank is a file for sharpening the teeth on a chainsaw. It's totally out of place and weird, but somehow fitting for this house lol The mostly empty room with the floral couch was most likely set aside as a play area for kids. Considering the clutter of the lounge, it stands out. But, lots of floorspace for toys, etc.

Recently found your videos. Love them! Thank you! An please always be safe u never know if someone dangerous is staying in one of these abandoned places
The house may be overgrown on the outside but the inside of the house is suspiciously clean without any dust or debris that would signal a foreclosure. The fact also there is just a open door on the porch as his entrance with no signs of forced entry or broken windows inside the house makes me very skeptical. it may be a abandon house but not with the story it has, it's way to clean to be abandoned for 10+ years
The unknown room looks like a den,the item on the shelf next to the shank looks like an old Firestarter, uses flint to ignite. Thanks fir the interesting video. Cool house.
This house is a complete enigma. I usually like to watch these and then doodle out the layout of each house. But I can definitely say I've never seen one set up like this. My guess is that that back room that you don't know what it is, is just kind of a entryway. Perhaps informal entryway. And the one you came in would have been the one that they went in and out of while attending to farm animals or something. That way the nice dining area and seating area are beyond the kitchen and you don't need to go in that direction if you're not entertaining. But it also looked to me like it might be an office. I am completely flabbergasted by the bedrooms. That one big master bedroom upstairs and no ensuite. But the smaller bedroom, ensuite. Downstairs whole second living quarter. Usually not that rare. A lot of people rent out or have their adult children stay with them nowadays. However it almost feels like he had tried to separate it out into more than just those two living spaces. And yet didn't really consider that each one may be needed a washer and dryer space of their own. I'd like to know if one of his kids was into dancing. Because wall that is just covered in big mirrors like that is usually for some kind of dance rehearsal.
So I hate to be this person but, the backpack I highly doubt was the little girls, as that would be some pretty important evidence and obvious right in the open the cops would have grabbed. Very interesting spot to have explored though! Good vid overall!
Yeah I was thinking that too but it’s also possible that the guy tried to hide it to lower the charges/ prison sentence or it also could be like you said just a backpack that anyone could have placed there

The small TV on the floor in the second room or living room with the couches seems to be a closed circuit TV that might have been used for video or monitoring the other rooms or grounds. Could it have been what he used to view his victim?
This right here! The second bedroom with the TV and messed up bathroom was the kidnappers bedroom for sure and the TV is clearly missing something like a vcr or monitoring devices.
You should check out an entire complex of abandoned duplexes in Whitehall Ohio. It’s so eerie to drive past. I’ve always wanted to go inside. Good job on the video. Always watching them ‼️❤️
The orange tool is a knife sharpener and fire starter... The hooked ends sharpen the blade and you strike the blade against the black strips and it creates sparks for a fire...
I find it funny that people come on this comment thread just to bash the work BigBankz does if you don’t like it just don’t watch the video simple as! Also it’s well known in the urbex community that you never give out the location details due to laws etc. It’s clear this house was used by squatters for a while after it being abandoned being in the middle of nowhere they wouldn’t have been moved on quite so fast. Merry Christmas to all 👍🏻 Happy Holidays
So far, I have not seen anyone bashing, just people trying to leave a little constructive criticism. I don't think that is bad; it helps one improve and gives people more of what they would like to see.
@@rachelburge2338 I hope you don't take offense, but please elaborate; which part of what I said was crap? The part I said constructive criticism or the part about where he left out information, such as what tragedy happened to his family? Oh, wait, I know when I said how much of a prison sentence did he get. Please tell me what part was bashing. Some people are so sensitive they don't recognize when people are trying to help improve their content. That is called being nice. I am sure I am not the only one with questions. I loved the video, but I wanted to share my thoughts in hopes that the UA-camr would take it into account., as I would and probably most people. That is how you make your channel grow. Give the people what they want. By the way, when I watched the video, I subscribed and gave him a thumbs-up. You're welcome.
That area was obviously a dinning room ....hence the chandelier hanging above.. normally above long dining room tables they put chandeliers..& the room is super long like a dining room is meant to be too..quite easy to figure out banks 😅
Sometimes, in warmer climates, people had a summer kitchen in the basement. The upstairs kitchen would be used for breakfast, making breads and cooler days.
I was wondering until you brought this idea up why would some houses have an upstairs and down stairs kitchen the basement kitchen though had no fridge or stove or oven , showed plenty of cabinets though ,been lots of work to keep both kitchens stocked with food as well as utensils pots and pans etc , wonder if the basement kitchen even had a fridge at one time ,can imagine both had fridges and see the light bill go up trying to run and keep both full of food
hi Big Bankz nice video good to hear about the story of the place it is sad that this man did that to the girl i am glad he went to prison the house looked a little creepy 😱😱 and a little spooky hope you was safe out there 🙏🙏🙏 like to wish happy holidays you do a great job on your videos ❤️ you thanks for sharing
So, it looks like the chair with the small table infront of the tv looks set up. It looks like other urban explorers may have set that up, it looked to obvious to me! So that your mind would run away and imagine the guy sat there. There was clearly other furniture there, there's marks in the carpets. Someone must have cleared out the place when the guy got sent down, I'd love to know the true story behind this property 🙂
First, I appreciate your videos and the effort to share these old homes with all of us. I'm quite hooked, tbh. But there are obvious problems that arise in some of these videos that hurt your credibility as a storyteller. If a serious crime were committed in this home, do you really think property such as a backpack belonging to the victim would not have been collected as states evidence? Just be careful in how you paint your pictures. Sometimes saying less says more.
They put a little table to eat in the living area. I believe that room is the dinner area where the light is placed a dinner table should go under it I believe maybe they put that little rating table in the living area so everyone can be together if they are eating or not
I am amazed at the people who love to be negative towards Bankz. I learned something years ago. If you dont like it, dont look at it. He is a kind guy who may sometimes get incorrect unformation at times. If you dont think it is for you, dont watch it.
I feel horrible for saying this but I love this. The country living I absolutely love The house is interesting and the freaking carpet brings back some memories of way back when for me... 🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️...
That part of the house on the other side of the lounge room with the glass shelves would have been used for a pool table, dart board & bar etc. P.S. if I was there with you I would've dared you to try the beer in the fridge 😜😆
A very nice country house that just needs a lot of cleaning, remodeling, & grass cutting. Why the city would just abandon it instead of flopping it for a nice profit, is very unacceptable & unimaginative. A tragic story, yes. But economically that’s no reason to forget it. Thanks for showing!
@@JuarezDerrick Not the same case. I was also looking for it That case she was kept in a outside bunker and her lived in a trailer She also escaped was able to call. How was found I searched google. Couldn’t find then looked in comments saw that one. Knew wasn’t it

The newer, looking tube of toothpaste and the charging cords, and some of the other stuff it kind of looks like it’s set up to look abandoned, but really not
@bobsmith-qz2pv if it was Vinson Filyaw. Then this guy is at thy wrong house. Vinson lived in a trailer, and the bunker he held the girl captive in wasn't even on his property. It was down thy road by a body of water. So either this UA-cam guy is making up a story, or is just mistaken about the house
I’ve read many comments and I’m wondering what happened to his family? Was it a tragic accident that they all passed? Or a decease that took them. I’d love to figure out what drove him to do such an awful thing.

Bro the thing he called a shank was not a box cutter… it was a shank simple as that lol and if you don’t know what those are they’re simple makeshift knives that are most commonly made by prisoners but can be made by anyone who needs a knife
@@lamantonyshyn1019 first....I am not a bro...second if you read my comment I clearly say the thing after the shank that he asked what it was,is a box cutter.
@@lamantonyshyn1019 and yes, I know what a shank is. Next time try rereading before you jump down someone's throat
it was a knife sharpening tool.@@teresascrochetandanimals
See if the car belongs to Deborah Kavanaugh if she owned a Volkswagen 😂 this reminds me of beds with recliners beside them 🫱🏼
Good morning Carter and Merry Christmas 🎄🎁. So glad them found her and I hope she’s doing well. Yes a little creepy. I really enjoy watching your videos you do amazing work. Take care and have a blessed day 🎄
The cat litter box and scoop are new and sand looks pretty clean too
Love your video.
Thank you for all the work you put into it.
Keep them coming.
Their so worth waiting for.
I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas 🎁🎁🎄🎄
Stay safe and well,
GOD BLESS YOU.❤❤
The carpet in the room with the fireplace is exactly what my brother had installed in his house late 1970's.
Another great explore with you I am glad the girl was found but I think there are a few spooks there thanks for letting me tag along I love exploring old houses too.
That extra room with the wagon wheel chandelier (very popular "country" light fixture in the 70s) would have been the formal dining room.
I can’t believe all that room down there in the basement! It’s like a “house” within itself down there!
@roseygirl1777 its bashing dont talk crap !
If I ever start posting videos I would hope people would leave me constructive criticism.
We'll have him quit liemg to ppl and believe his bullshit
Great upload Bankz! Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Considering it's been abandoned for so long, it looks pretty clean
Thank you for new content BigBankz. Wishing you well and happy holidays!
ty so much. The music on the end is so nice, what is it ? wish you a merry Chrismas and stay well .Greetings from germany
Thanks Bigbankz for alk the videos you put out, I really enjoy them and I hope to do some exploring on my own, do you have any advice?
I love your content! Keep up the great work!
Yessir another chill explore!
I Really Love Your Videos❤Keep it up bro your content is awsome and creative
Dude only footprints. 😂😂 Don't Touch Freakin Weapons 😂😂🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️💪🏽
Hello BigBankz 🙋🏽. Merry Christmas to you and your Family and Friends ✝️🎄🎄🎄
hi Big Bankz nice video good to hear about the story of the place it is sad that this man did that to the girl i am glad he went to prison the house looked a little creepy 😱😱 and a little spooky hope you was safe out there 🙏🙏🙏 like to wish happy holidays you do a great job on your videos ❤️ you thanks for sharing
@bryanrapp6541 Exactly
Exactly
I thought the same thing, especially because backpack looks new!
That was clearly staged, hes been caught lying in a ton of shit. Just like the “cartel mansion” that belonged to the owner of penzoil lmao 😂
I just said the same thing to my girl…
We had one of them same ugly chandeliers in an old 1972 trailer house we lived in.
Great video bro you are the best abandoned explorer and i follow a lot out there grtz 😎
Is there any background as to what happened to his family? He may have just lost it if they all died? 🤷♀
Everyone is liking this but no comment 😂 I’m wondering the same thing I can’t find anything
@@oscarpatton4336I wish he’d of said the persons name because it leaves just about everyone clueless on who the guy was
@@Jessiedunaway27 It's fake.
@@tinymahuta It is not. Although it has been some time, there was a case regarding this house
The VW beetle is from 1998.. 1999 and newer beetles had a marker light on the front fenders
House Is Big surprised no one has bought the place. So much potential
I agree ,unless it's on the list to be demolished one day ,but like in good shape to sell it
Merry Christmas 🎅🎄
I love your videos! Keep it up!! Take care guys and God bless you!!
I mean... is it for sale? Who owns it? Other than green carpet I love this house omg
That part of the house on the other side of the lounge room with the glass shelves would have been used for a pool table, dart board & bar etc. P.S. if I was there with you I would've dared you to try the beer in the fridge 😜😆
That room that you didn’t know what it was is probably a playroom
Maybe space for a pool table.
It was probably a den. Houses in that time period commonly had a more formal living room, a dining room & a den, which is a less formal living space.
First time watching your video.... & very entertaining you got yourself a new subscriber
Now I’m invested and want to know more about this story of the kidnapping and the girl… is there articles anywhere about it?? 🤔🕵🏽
Look up vinson filyaw
Look at the comments she's 32 now he died in prison in 2021
@@JuarezDerrick
Not the same case. I was also looking for it
That case she was kept in a outside bunker and her lived in a trailer
She also escaped was able to call. How was found
I searched google. Couldn’t find then looked in comments saw that one. Knew wasn’t it
No one has an article?
@@eddiereganI remember the case unfortunately not the name. Was the kidnapper in real estate? The girl was found in another structure/bunker. Sadly to many types of these crimes
What is the building on the side of the house? There could be something there to show where the girl was. Maybe it attaches someplace under ground?
Love your work. Such a sad strange place good job
Lol the mirrored wall & wood paneling
It’s very possible that the fire place was the main source of heat for the house. Probably why the couches were huddled up in front of the fireplace.
That side room with the loveseat looks like a play area considering the look of the pillows & the ripstick.
That house doesn't look like it's in too bad shape. It looked like there was a pull down ladder to the attic. Did you investigate it?
The little thing you picked up after the shank, is a sharpener for knives and also chain saw chains 🤙
The newer, looking tube of toothpaste and the charging cords, and some of the other stuff it kind of looks like it’s set up to look abandoned, but really not
Who was the kidnapper? I wanted to look more into the story..
Vincent filwa "the girl in the bunker" is the documentary
@bobsmith-qz2pv if it was Vinson Filyaw. Then this guy is at thy wrong house. Vinson lived in a trailer, and the bunker he held the girl captive in wasn't even on his property. It was down thy road by a body of water. So either this UA-cam guy is making up a story, or is just mistaken about the house
@@dieselguy62 Or it's not Vincent filwa. He never said it was. Only the people in the comments think they know.
@@jimmyparris9892 are you just dumb or replying to thy wrong person? 🤣🤣🤣
@@jimmyparris9892 why is it a secret? Every time he finds a house and a story to it, there is NEVER any info found on line about it.
Wow the whole house gives me the creeps. Yikes 😳

I’ve read many comments and I’m wondering what happened to his family? Was it a tragic accident that they all passed? Or a decease that took them. I’d love to figure out what drove him to do such an awful thing.
