There's a good chance that, since his uncle was a famous song writer there are royalties still coming in paying that electric bill. Because a house deteriorates faster if it has no electric I'm really not surprised.
@@fivelittlemonkees The story in this video is fake. The power is still on because the children of the deceased homeowners, John & Dorothy Brahney, are still paying the bills.

So sad that the nephew was left with such a beautiful property that he could have created beautiful memories on, but instead of seeing what he had he was blinded by anger and threw it all away along with two other lives. A great reminder to focus on what you do have instead of on what you dont.
Little hard to focus on anything else when you catch your girlfriend in bed with another man. I'm not condoning what he did but expecting him to focus on life's little philosophies under those circumstances is absurd.
@jaylucien669 Self control isnt absurd and, last time I checked, refraining from killing people is a lot more than a little life philosophy. But yes, it's easier said than done under certain circumstances which is why a daily practice dedicated to cultivating a mindset that successfully fosters self control is imperative.
I admire your respect for the properties. I have been exploring since the 80s and my rule is always to not take anything. Even as a bratty hobo teen, I respected and cared for the properties I squatted. I did take a brick from Detroit's famous abandoned last year but I rarely explore anymore. I'm much older, more vulnerable, and it's so much more dangerous now. TY for sharing this. I'm glad young people are doing this work respectfully.
As a book reader I'm glad to see that you stopped to show some of the books. I've seen other abandoned exploration videos where if there's a shelf of books or two that often get ignored. It's a shame they're left behind to waste.
Oklahoma here . love this . I used to do this as a teenager back in the 80's all the way through the 90's exploring old houses and abandoned towns. never would have thought it would have became popular or hobby for anyone Funny How Times change..
I would imagine that the daughter still owns the home. She may have taken what she wanted out of the house but rarely goes there, Too many traumatic memories.
A house that held such promise of ideas and a future now left to rot because of someone's choice. It's sad to see it left in that state. Thank you for sharing.
I used to work as a mitigation technician (sounds fancy but it's not). Part of the job was sometimes cleaning out house where everything was left behind. It's crazy how you can really get to know someone just by going through all their stuff
@@amlaboy more often than not, the reason we had to clean out a house was because the person living there has died, which leads to us having to take up the carpet or tile or wherever their body was. So yeah it was pretty interesting but it's just crazy to me how these people never seemed to have any family or friends to come and grab their things. I always ended up feeling kinda bad for them. One guy had a stroke in his kitchen and his cats ate him
I know I cleaned out a foreclosed house and all the stuff told a clear picture of the family and their life. The stuff I found told a very depressing story. Guys had a stroke, lost the house. His drug addict son had been squatting there right before the property was bought. Drug paraphilia every where. Then you see his pics as a kid and his hobbies as a kid and then are like man, where did it all go wrong. The son is now dead I'm guessing from drugs. He had a sister too there was a girls room with pictures. Hopefully everything is ok with her 😢
That's wild that you need to explain book ends to people. Everyone I knew growing up had at least 1 room like this, covered in books. Alas, so much is digital now. I'll never get used to that...
Our farmhouse (150 years old) is laid out as oddly as this house. And our stairs are super small and very steep. We're just getting around to knocking out the plaster ceilings, which are rather low like this house, and installing additional beams to bear a circular shower curtain for the antique claw foot tub. Our place is 4.5 stories, which is really kind of weird, as well. I think something very dark happened here sometime in the past; I just feel it in my bones. It sat vacant for a number of years and during that time, kids used it as a party house. This is really in the sticks, so no one really kept watch at all. All of the copper was stolen during the vacancy. I'd loved to have had someone do a spiritual walkthrough before we moved here, but we didn't know a soul.
You can do a walk through yourself, you just got to have the right intent behind your words and bless every nook and cranny including, doorways front and back, windows, mirrors ect in the name of Jesus. Tell whatever is there that it's not wanted and it to leave. Put some righteousness behind your words. Also, grab some sage and do it with that as well. Good luck!!
It's strange how a lot of the items in the house look dated well beyond the time the nephew took over ownership. There are very few things that looked relatively recent - the car, the radio in the kitchen, but for the most part it looks like a time capsule of a house abandoned in the 1970’s, 80’s, maybe even 90’s with the CD's and sound system found in the den/bedroom. The nephew must have either not had the house very long or just didnt spend a lot if time there and didnt make many changes to it.
@@gunsnsexdolls9800he inherited it after 2009. So about 14 yrs have passed however I can't find anything on any of what has been said so I am highly skeptical of the story

I love watching all kinds of videos when people explore & tell the story behind it & to hear about the murder that happened is so sad what gets me though is how electricity is able to stay on after so many years it's crazy.
They said the owner moved away, and his nephew, who is the killer, moved in. My guess is that they had the electric bill in their name and just keep paying the bill. Maybe they have it on some kind of auto-pay and didn't even notice. They probably still own the house, but don't want anything to do with it. Now it's been abandoned so long it's too late, so they're just going to let it rot?
Idk but some buildings down in pa are illegally been cut on so if it was off and not touch someone will find a way to turn them on and years would go by before anyone will find out
I know of a house that’s been abandoned for maybe 10 years or so, and the lights still come on in a couple of rooms. I always wondered who’s paying the bill?? It’s definitely not the ghosts that are in it
I love abandoned houses. When everything is left "standing still" it empowers me to find out WHY. If found some VERY interesting homes with even more interesting life stories. This one is an amazing one with an rven more amazing story.
This is a fake story. The property never belonged to a murder. The property’s back story is plain. John Brahney and his wife, Dorothy, died in 2011. And that makes sense: the furnishings, knick-knacks, and leftovers are those you might expect of an elderly couple.
It was (famous songwriter/author) niece who was murdered. She was only 23. This house is not connected to the murder except for the fact who lived there was related to the deceased.
It's so refreshing to see a youtuber show the outside of these places! So many others only film inside and it really bugs me. Great background info and adventure to
As soon as he started narrating, I subscribed. I working through the Case Files Channel and I will be here next. I love to hear stories told with a relaxing voice.
Honestly, I love the exploring side of the homes but is anyone else more here for the story behind the abandonment. ?? I just came across your channel about a week or so and I am obsessed with it, I am trying to catch up on all of the videos! Great content.

I was going to say he has good taste as well BUT I think it might be exactly how it was when he inherited the house, so his uncle “the famous song writer” is the one who probably did the decorating lol

Here’s the thing though. I’m highly skeptical of this story because if he used the car, it would have been impounded and likely wouldn’t have been given back to the owner.
A person who lives close to this house said the people that lived there died of old age. The murder story is untrue. The house was left to a niece, not nephew. She’s the one that “looks after” the house.

My brother in law went to prison and property taxes were few years behind so of course when he went to prison the county took property for unpaid taxes
PLEASE DON'T misunderstand my previous comment! I REALLY APPRECIATE the opportunity to view these homes, even in their unfortunate states. Frequently with no knowledge/explanation for abandonment. GREAT WORK, THANX 4 sharing! Show us more, please!
The game in the brown leather case on the end table was Backgammon. The boots are "muck boots" to wear when mucking out (scooping poop, shavings, and straw) stables or stomping around in the mud, grooming your horses; the bag allows you to take the boots home muddy or wet wthout getting your car dirty. The furniature is definitely 1960s mid-century modern (you can tell by those skinny wood legs). And multiple goose are GEESE.
1950s sectional. The whip is definitely a horse whip for the type of riding the daughter does. Also noticed the phone is push button instead of a rotatary.
I really like how you conduct all your explorations by being so respectful of people belongings and explaining the history of the places. Greetings from Romania.
What a beautiful little house and property. Such a shame about the water damage. It is absolutely precious. What a shame no one could take care of at least the roof.
But the power is on in this house so there's probably heat. If a home isn't lived in it only takes a year or two before everything starts to fall apart. Even a well built home that still has electricity and temp control.
It's crazy how houses like this will just be left to rot with no efforts to restore or even sell it. It's such a nice house that I would love to live in.
That turned agate candlestick holder is gorgeous. People seem to think that placing such things up high can protect them, but now when it eventually falls to the floor it will probably be damaged from that height. I always wish that the Urbexers will spot such things and put them in a secured place in the hope that someday someone will rescue it and it can be enjoyed and kept safe again.
This is so cool! Thank you for showing it. It could be that someone comes there from time to time to clean it out - maybe that's why the lights were on. The furniture in the living room - that couch grouping is called a 'sectional', this one probably from the 1960's. The game with the chips and dice looks like Backgammon. The low ceiling speaks of age or damage. I think you were trying to think of 'book ends' when you said 'book holders' or something like that. The car window was rolled down (spooky...). I'm glad you didn't get hurt in there. Thanks for taking the high road and not blabbing on who the people were that lived there, especially the famous man. I'm intrigued by abandoned houses but don't have the guts to go in them. You are well-spoken and likeable. Continued success with your channel!
The refrigerator won’t stink as much because the power has been ON. Food kept cold will not rot and stink as quickly as food kept in a warm (power OFF) fridge. That’s why it doesn’t smell as bad “for some reason.”
Not knowing the name bothers me i like to do more research after hearing stories like this. without names it makes me wonder if this was just some random house that a story was added to .
A neighbor (of this house) commented on here and said the murder story is untrue. He said the people that lived there died of old age. And the house was actually left to the niece, not nephew. She just chooses to leave the house “as is.”
@@diamondchanel855 Lisa Straub and Johnny Clarke were a couple and there was no cheating. Why would they be one of your guesses for the victims? Hi @Sheree hewing. I’m also in Melbourne Australia, I love watching these & also watch “Adam Mark Explores” from the UK. we don’t get to see this in Melbourne or much in Australia at all. Houses left by elderly with no family here seem to get taken over by someone or knocked down & re-developed! I can’t remember ever seeing one left to just rot, especially with the power still on.
So the dice game is called backgammon. The “whip” is called a crop. It’s used when riding horses and by horse jockeys. So it fits in with the daughter who rides. Most of that stuff belonged to the original own and was there far longer than 2010. I’ve watched a few of your videos and think it’s so cute when you don’t know things I grew up with. It does however make me feel very old! 😂
This guy is young, but not so young that he wouldn’t have ever seen the game backgammon somewhere at some time in his life. That is unless he didn’t grow up in the U.S. or he grew up in a cave.😂 I’m not trying to be mean spirited here but when you think about the fact that he knows Michelangelo but has never seen a backgammon board or a riding crop is very odd especially for someone who loves to explore these old abandoned houses. I have kids his age that definitely know what all of these things are. The only thing I can figure is that maybe he films things this way so he can get more people to comment and share stories.
I wonder if the living room was actually an original family one room homestead. Especially considering the old wood beams, stone walls, and stone fireplace. Then later on they added the upstairs, kitchen and extra bedroom. Also considering that the kitchen has a stone wall on only one wall which is the same wall shared with living room.
If somebody cheats on you they never loved you, that means that they are not worth hurting and throwing your life away for , the only person that you're going to be hurting is yourself 💯

I'm glad you said this. I usually watch abandoned house video's late at night while I'm winding down with some ambient music. What I saw was different from the description. I saw the house of an old lady. The powder pots on bathroom sink, there seemed to be a shower chair in the tub, the feminine retro decor in the bedroom. When the chair in the living room was shown I saw another body stain like I've seen in other abandoned house video's and not just some blood on the arm rests. So I was thinking it was an old lady, or older couple, who lived here and one had died in the chair. It didn't occur to me that this stuff could be his aunt and uncles items.
It is such a lovely house, and it felt like somebody was there, just sort of observing you. You treated it with respect, which is awesome! Thank you for this video and post because it was very calming for me.
@@JuarezDerrickHow do you know nobody died in that house....the house is very old....several people could have died there....maybe it's the dude that was in that black and white pic...lol
Something to consider, this is something my parents do when they leave the house on vacation or leave town for a week is to leave a few lights on to give the impression that someone is still there. The lights are on to try and make it more normal like someone could be still in there. Also, someone is paying for the lights to be on. State Utilities don't fuck around. If you don't pay the bill, you don't get power or water. I'd assume the Uncle is still paying the utilities and land tax. Even with the illusion of someone being there with the lights on, how this place hasn't been looted is still surprising unless this place is waaaaaaaaaaaay out in the middle of nowhere where nobody even drives past it.
"I think even though cheating on your partner is really bad, I think ending another life is even worse." This is so profound... it's almost as profound as Mr. Garrison's iconic yet profound "drugs are bad mmmkay?" quote. Truly eye opening quote and ideology...
I doubt you'd find too many places abandoned and left in Canada. Maybe. I have seen really old houses in rural areas. But in Canada everybody, plus the villages and towns have ways of forcing people to deal with property, especially after someone passes.
@@justdynee it depends where... lots of developers buying up land to build subdivisions... the houses sit vacant for a long time. I live in a rural area, lots of creepy little shacks here, nothing as nice as what's in the video though. About 6 nice farm houses that were on my list were bought and renovated during covid so I missed out on those 😂
Totally fascinated by your videos. Your respect for maintaining the privacy of the location is very admirable as I'm sure many would see it as an opportunity to loot these homes. If I could make a couple constructive suggestions, let some of the stuff shown in your videos tell the story, not every little item needs to be called out or explained unless there seems to be a significance to it. Don't dwell on insignificant items too long, and slow down your pans when going from side to side. Can't wait to see some of your other location videos!
It's pretty much the first rule of urban exploring, keep the location a secret. You don't get tips from people about where these places are, if they know you're the type of person to show the location... preserving a location, so more explorers can see it without it being vandalized is the highest priority. They love competition of being the first to explore, or one of the only ones to know a location. Second rule is take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints... you can touch but don't take... theres one guy I know who fills his truck with stuff from places he finds... takes anything metal he can scrap... he has a bad name in the explore community. I once found a time capsule, I was the second one there. All the jewelry was laid on the floor like the person before me was seeing what was worth money... in the last 3 years the place has been trashed. I regret not locking the one window when I left the last time.
It’s not blood from the murder LOL this house had a problem with junkie squatters and people did live here after. I know someone if you (channel owner) want more info on the house after that. That’s not her blood don’t worry
You're so fortunate to get to go out to explore these homes I had an observation Although the place is run down with natural deterioration taking effect The one-bedroom looked very well kept, And knowing how cared for and clean the one bed appears Whoever lived there obviously made sure to keep things kept While on the other hand the bedroom that was missing the bed I think whatever happened, Happened in the bedroom where the bed is missing And the other bedroom with the little bed, That discoloration on the bed looks like the bed that he went in and laid down in I think after it happened he went out and sat in that chair And before he called anybody he went and laid down in that bed How many times did he do that ? 30 times ! Plus the guy to His front side must have been just covered in bld ! I think he sat in that chair first, and then when he went to go lay down He laid down on his stomach Leaving that mess in them sheets from falling asleep on his stomach And after waking up or resting he got up and called the police I think that bedroom that was nice was his uncle's room before he left And whatever family member that came after it happened maybe the daughter went into her father's room prop the pillows up and sat there for a while while processing everything I think he trapped them in that back bedroom the one that's missing the bed and that's where it happened It was a little disappointing that you didn't look on the walls or ceilings or put any effort into looking for the bld splatter. But it was a cool video you looked like a giant in that house.
The murder didn't happen in this house, it happened at the girlfriend's parents' house. Though if his hands were covered in blood, as suggested by the armchair, then it would presumably be on the car steering wheel and/or on a doorknob or two, from when he got home afterwards.
Hey Big Bankz great house, I think most of the belongings were his uncles, that was left when he moved his family to LA, it's still a sad story just the same, I wonder if the family is still in LA and doing well. Thanks for the tour. Love from N.Y.
Yeah I know exactly who he is talking about. Is incredibly sad. I understand why he's keeping it confidential but there are certain tell tale signs lol.
Right. Like you can feel the emotion and sadness through the screen. Guy wanted to surprise his gf and gets caught cheating which is one of the worst feelings in the world. So disappointing and hurtful. The anger sadness and reflection permeate through the whole place. Then I imagine him sitting on that chair thinking about what happened like “fuck…”
Wait, so those lightbulbs were potentially still on after 10 years or more??? I've heard that if you just leave them on, they tend to last much longer than if you turn them on and off every night, but that's still pretty wild to me. Morbid backstory for sure, but a thoroughly fascinating explore nonetheless. The extremely low ceilings and narrow stairwell were pretty common for homes dating back to the mid-1800's and before. Supposedly people were generally quite a bit shorter then, for the most part, largely due to nutrition, though that always seemed pretty weird to me.
I'm from Utah and I don't normally see abandoned houses or buildings here. I'm always looking but it seems like the state is pretty good at taking control of any building that may be left by the owners. Most places here are either in ghost towns or carefully watched by someone.

Where's the dust? Particularly atop the master bedroom furniture. There may have been a thin layer, but certainly not what you would expect from being abandoned for many years. And as far as the electricity being on, I would imagine that the bill is being footed all these years by the original owner or perhaps even the daughter. Also, the whip type thing that you found appears to be a riding crop used in horseback riding, just as the photo of the daughter suggests. I don't know if you did and simply didn't film it, but I would have checked the expiration date of the cans and bottles in the fridge. Reason I say, is because in parts that almost looks like somebody has been there since the arrest. Perhaps the drinks actually belonged to the people that were attempting to move stuff out. Like they came prepared with snacks on the intention of spending all day working there.
I was thinking the same thing. Some areas are too clean. Someone is staying there. I can’t imagine lightbulbs lasting that long. Lol. What would be weird is if someone one was in the bathroom blocking the doors.
Crazy how electric companies are quick to turn off electricity to occupied homes but places abandoned like this for years still have ample power.
Thank u
There's a good chance that, since his uncle was a famous song writer there are royalties still coming in paying that electric bill. Because a house deteriorates faster if it has no electric I'm really not surprised.

@@amlaboy more often than not, the reason we had to clean out a house was because the person living there has died, which leads to us having to take up the carpet or tile or wherever their body was. His drug addict son had been squatting there right before the property was bought. Drug paraphilia every where. Then you see his pics as a kid and his hobbies as a kid and then are like man, where did it all go wrong. The son is now dead I'm guessing from drugs. And Kenny…..G? lol. I grew up knowing who he was.

They said the owner moved away, and his nephew, who is the killer, moved in. My guess is that they had the electric bill in their name and just keep paying the bill. Maybe they have it on some kind of auto-pay and didn't even notice. They probably still own the house, but don't want anything to do with it.

But the power is on in this house so there's probably heat. If a home isn't lived in it only takes a year or two before everything starts to fall apart. Even a well built home that still has electricity and temp control.

That turned agate candlestick holder is gorgeous. Denk ook niet dat wij dit op deze manier kennen in NL. Wel gaaf om ook te doen zeg!
The creepiest part of this entire story, is that they moved to Los Angeles, for his daughter to ride a horse.
So the dice game is called backgammon. The “whip” is called a crop. It’s used when riding horses and by horse jockeys. So it fits in with the daughter who rides. Most of that stuff belonged to the original own and was there far longer than 2010.

I wonder if the living room was actually an original family one room homestead. Especially considering the old wood beams, stone walls, and stone fireplace.

(It's so sad to see how fast a house dies when it's no longer a home or loved)
Yes,I actually told my fiance it makes me a little sad to see a house or car just sit for years and go to waste :(
The house is adorable. Would make a great starter home for someone. Appliances have been updated b4 the bad stuff happened
The narrow concrete border around the pool is unique. It doesn't appear to be wide enough to accommodate a table and chairs.
Love watching these episodes of abandoned homes. Hate seeing what is left, a lot still could be used!! Wonder if any are haunted?
I love stumbling over little gems on YT like this. Great work dude, new subscriber added
You're so fortunate to get to go out to explore these homes
I had an observation
Although the place is run down with natural deterioration taking effect
The one-bedroom looked very well kept,
And knowing how cared for and clean the one bed appears
Whoever lived there obviously made sure to keep things kept
While on the other hand the bedroom that was missing the bed
I think whatever happened,
Happened in the bedroom where the bed is missing
And the other bedroom with the little bed,
That discoloration on the bed looks like the bed that he went in and laid down in
I think after it happened he went out and sat in that chair
And before he called anybody he went and laid down in that bed
How many times did he do that ?
30 times !
Plus the guy to
His front side must have been just covered in bld !
I think he sat in that chair first,
and then when he went to go lay down
He laid down on his stomach
Leaving that mess in them sheets from falling asleep on his stomach
And after waking up or resting he got up and called the police
I think that bedroom that was nice was his uncle's room before he left
And whatever family member that came after it happened maybe the daughter went into her father's room prop the pillows up and sat there for a while while processing everything
I think he trapped them in that back bedroom the one that's missing the bed and that's where it happened
It was a little disappointing that you didn't look on the walls or ceilings or put any effort into looking for the bld splatter.
Plus the story is apparently completely made up, which would also explain the lack of bloody finger/hand prints anywhere besides that chair.
Hey Big Bankz great house, I think most of the belongings were his uncles, that was left when he moved his family to LA, it's still a sad story just the same, I wonder if the family is still in LA and doing well. Thanks for the tour. Love from N.Y.
What's the name of the guy
@@user-hi4ot8nn3b Mark didn't say who it was for a reason!!
@@PerturbedPeacock you gotta chill out it's nothing to be private about unless it's their belongings or Buisness
Yeah I know exactly who he is talking about. Is incredibly sad. I understand why he's keeping it confidential but there are certain tell tale signs lol.
The energy in this place is unreal.
Unless ur down in sugar house..but sandy draper amd draper heights are just mansions...I miss utah...not the weather tho
You have to go southwest. There's a town near Spanish Fork that's half sunken into the ground from a flood that ripped through it. Really cool
@@NatronFatumallafalla not all of draper is mansions i used to live in draper in the 90s to 2010 ish and the house i grew up in wasnt no mansion, 2200 square foot. i remember when the smiths was first built and where the khols and all those shopping centers are was farmland off 123rd and a vf factory was there and a slaughterhouse.

I’m from Beaver we have a couple old houses that have been abandoned for a few years.
A lot of states have a clause that allows for a certain amount of leniency for crimes of passion like that. He certainly didn't try to get away. He sat there and waited on the police.
first I want to thank you for taking everybody who's watching this through this at one time this was a gorgeous piece of property and home I can't understand why somebody would kill somebody else when you have what you have now you're in prison and have nothing was it really worth it I want to thank you again for taking us through this property thank you and for your film crew everybody who was involved in it really enjoyed this film
I couldn't believe the lights on in the bedroom. Hey, who's paying for the electricity?? Gee, that's so strange. I bet maybe relatives are afraid even to live in there.
What year did the murder happen?
You did a great job with the filming. TY for sharing!
I'm seeing this all the way from Italy and I'm a Long islander.
description says the murder happened in 2009
I want to know what brand of bulbs they are, that they're Still working! I need forever bulbs like that in my life 😂
If the murderer is still alive in prison, he may be paying for the electricity. It is still his property.
He paying the bill from prison 😂 this is so FAKE
Damn boomer @@saralangley5911 - direct debits have been in use since the 70s- as long as there’s money in the account and no one canceled, those lights will stay on. Look up Joyce Vincent who died in 2003 while wrapping Christmas presents, but wasn’t found in 2006- a skeleton, tv still on. She was only discovered when her account was finally drained and authorities came to evict her. Now, if that doesn’t keep you up at night, consider this- she was wrapping presents for a person or people that didn’t notice her missing for 3 years…
Ceilings are low and the stairs are so steep because the house is so old. Didn’t you say 1840 or something? Maybe it’s old log cabin/house under all the plaster/drywall.
Great video !
Keep up the good work!! I love watching your UA-cam channel.
Love that fox statue! Those low ceilings… absolutely maddening! Such a sad story. Interesting and sad seeing all that was left. Thanks for all you do! Love all your videos!
Really enjoying watching your videos because you tell us about the history of the places, great covering stories and thank you, keep up the good work.
You are super tall. My first time here. Also enjoying the scriptures in the corner. Love this kind of content thank you!
Big Banks shout of from Virginia…. One of the best abandoned explorers channels.. ❤
Amazing that there’s no dust on those books, shelves, nicknacks etc
Such a beautiful house from the front door to the livingroom was my favorite rooms 😍. I live in England Oxfordshire. Love these old homes thankyou
That is all old blood on that bed. Completely cover in it. I cannot believe this house has been completely untouched like that. Nice find Bankz
Idk more like wet animal prints
My friend who does body cleanups agrees with you. Said the same thing.
He may have gone into the bed freaking out and emotional over what he did, still covered in the blood.
Then say in the chair after and was arrested there
@@Carolcatsforever that's what I thought too
No, it's not. Had a murder taken place on that bed, it would have all been taken into evidence. And the authorities certainly wouldn't have returned the bloody bed sheets and mattress AND made the bed up once the case was solved...
More like a grody a** squatter was sleeping on that bed.
The green boots are short Wellies made for mud. They're called muck boots. Used around the stable.
Went into the Danvers State mental Hospital on Halloween in 1986 , talk about absolutely freaking crazy. The place still had hospital beds, tables , old wheel chairs, padded rooms, tunnels. I don’t know what possessed me to take part in something like that but it was terrifying. This shit is cool tho.
What are u talking about?
“HOUSE ON LOON LAKE.”
Google that title. A similar but even more mysterious true (audio story) told by one of three young boys investigating an old abandoned house back in the 1970’s and what they found inside, from the program “This American Life.” One of my favorite programs from ‘This American Life’ and guaranteed to get you enthralled.
.
It’s described as a real-life Hardy Boys mystery. This abandoned house and the mystery of why it was abandoned to haunt one boy for decades and drive him to do further investigating. Yeah, the house was still FILLED with treasures and many clues!!
The horse jumper was the song writers’s daughter. All the horse pics were of the once lively, now abandoned stables. It would also be cool to go through their at night with a black light😉
The game in the livingroom is called "backgammon"
Might I ask a lot of urban explorers,? How do you come across places like this question? Mark? How do you know there are truly abandoned before you go see them question? I really love exploring old places and trying to imagine what happened before it was abandoned.I just don't know how to find cool places like this that are still untouched and not closed down by the government. I did get to explore Krampnitz in Germany.
Also, those stairs are dutch designed. Most residences in amsterdam and netherlands in general are like that due to the meeting to build up and meeting more space
They have groups on the internet where they share the locations and they are just brave taking chances sometimes there are people inside

Avoiding naming names is kinda suspicious. Who’s going to sue you for re-telling a totally public story?
He doesn't release a name so bored people don't go tamper or destroy this abandoned house. From what I gathered. It's history and some people wouldn't respect it.
It's easy enough to find who lived there. I just did.
@@LoraHari81 I can't find it at all.

@@LoraHari81 Plz don't tell. I didn't have to look it up as I already know who's property it is and don't want to see vandals destroying it or going in stealing what's left!
