Kingambit's walk cycle might be kind of awful, but it makes sense, why it moves in short hops.
This like of Pokemon have names inspired by chess pieces; Pawn, Bishop, then King.
The King typically moves very slowly, on a chess board, exactly what Kingambit does.
(Also Quaxly is the best water type of the gen but Palafin is also a great choice)

@Animestar21 given that most of these chess inspired Pokémon are steel types (or eventual steel types like Rookidee) I think similar typing for the Queen piece would work better
Except the only thing chess-related about the Pawniard line is their English names. Their names in other languages have absolutely nothing to do with chess.
Meowscarada, Cetitan, baxcalibur, Roaring Moon, Tinkaton, and Kiradon are some my favs

Palafin is my favourite water type it's brought me lots of success in ranked battles such a good pokemon
Fuecoco is my favorite Fire-type and Ceruledge is my favorite Ghost-type. Fuecoco is just perfection, and Ceruledge has swords for arms, which reminds me of my 2nd all-time favorite Pokémon, Gallade.
Kinda weird that a Pokémon with literal swords for hands is not a steel type,don’t you think?

Quaquaval, Skeledirge, Meowscarada, Pawmot, Garganacl, Baxcalibur, Ceruledge, Armarouge, Gholdengo, Roaring Moon, Iron Valiant, Koraidon, Miraidon, Lokix and Clodsire are my favorites design-wise.

While I prefer great tusk on design and iron treads in terms of stats (between itself and great tusk), iron valiant’s my favourite paradox mon overall. Period.
The fact Palafin is so busted is just a bonus to me. Palafin is my absolute favourite Pokémon this generation for the concept alone. I, too, love superheroes a lot, and they literally gave us dolphin Superman, complete with its evolution level very likely being a reference to Superman's debut year (1938). Even its Japanese name of Irukaman translates to "Dolphin Man"!
Heck, Palafin even made me love dolphins more than I used to! In fact, I dare say it might be my second most favourite Pokémon of all time now, dethroning Totodile to third place and losing only to Slowking, who's just too personal to me to be dethroned.
It's very rare for me to love a Pokémon at first sight, but Palafin is one of those rare cases.

Floragato is definitely in my top 3 favorite middle starter evo’s

Floragato, Braxien, Dewott, and all three Hoenn starters are the perfect mid-evos. For non-starters, that honor goes to Bisharp, Roselia, and Ursaring.

I just like everything about the Hoenn starters, and the Blaziken line is my favorite (including Combusken, though mostly because May).

I'd personally put Cyclizar as favorite normal type and Water Tauros for Water type
But that's mainly because I don't like the Gen 9 Water types as much while Paldean Tauros is still Tauros which is my second favorite Normal type after Snorlax so there's definitely bias

I'm so mixed on the designs of Gen 9. Some are immediately in my favorites of all time, with Ceruledge, Fuecoco, and both Donphan Paradoxes waring against each other for being my absolute favorite of the region. But then there's ones like Meowscarada, Spidops, and Espathra that just don't appeal to me in the slightest. Not to mention this region has some of the worst shinies unfortunately
Tinkaton and Ceruledge are my 2 favorite Pokémon from this Generation they’re so badass and fun to use! I also love Espathra and Iron Valiant.
I love both the Sprigatito line and Finizen 💕
I just love that they added some BANGERS for this gen!

Favorite Water Type: Quaquaval! I love this duck so much.
Favorite Fire Type: Scovillian. I love the duel typing, and it reminds so much of piranha plant in Mario.
Favorite Grass Type: Meowscarada. I love cats. I love magicians. Need to say more?
Favorite Steel Type: Tinkaton. I LOVE HER!! She’s so BADASS!! If you disagree, argue with the wall.
Favorite Fighting Type: Pawmot. I overleveled it in my Violet playthrough, and it was a headache to evolve it, but it’s freakin awesome and cute.
Favorite Fairy Type: Daschbun. ITS SO CUTE!!!
Favorite Dark Type: Mabosstiff. I don’t think people realize that Mabosstiff is really strong on defense and on offense.
Favorite Ghost Type: Ceruledge. It’s so badass. (Houndstone is 2nd)
Favorite Flying Type: Bombirdier. The bird is so crazy for dropping boulders.
Favorite Electric Type: Bellibolt. I loved this frog the minute I saw it. The only downside is the offense. I recommend this Pokémon for defense.
Favorite Psychic Type: Armarouge. I loved the cannons it used. It’s so cool. (Veluza is 2nd)
Favorite Dragon Type: Baxcalibur. This Pokémon is SOOOO BADASS!! It’s attack and defense is incredible. (Tatsugiri is really close 2nd)
Favorite Ice Type: Cetitan. It’s so pretty, and it’s defense pretty incredible.
Favorite Rock Type: Klawf. It’s defense is pretty incredible. It’s shiny is pretty accurate to the blue crab, and it reminds me of Mr. Krabs. 😂
Favorite Ground Type: Toedscruel. I love the way it runs and it’s pretty cool. 🤣
Favorite Poison Type: Clodsire. It’s so squishy, and I love it. The only downside, Clodsire’s base stat is 430.
Favorite Bug Type: Lokix. It’s pretty cool, and it’s really powerful. Way better than freaking Spidops.
Favorite Normal Type: Maushold and Oinkologne. They’re so cool. I love the mouse family, and I named my Oinkologne, Wilbur after Charlotte’s web. Need to say more?
As a bonus, I’m going to say what my Favorite Legendary and Favorite Paradox Pokemon is.
Favorite Paradox: Roaring Moon. It’s so badass and I love design. (Scream tail is a close 2nd)
Favorite Legendary: Wo-Chien. It reminds me of Gary of the Snail 🐌 so much. (Koraidon, Miraidon, and Chien-Pao are close 2nds)

Okay it looks like there are some pretty cool looking Pokemon I have to look forward to whenever I play the new ones. I will DEFINITELY have to add the evolutions of Primeape and Salamence along with Tinkaton and Palafin to any teams I make.

Kilowattrel is probably my favorite regional bird since Talonflame in Gen 6, especially with its ability Wind Power
of course Kilowattrel's move pool is kinda geared towards working in rain with stuff like thunder, hurricane and weather ball, so i think they intended to have you pair it with pelipper
Still with its speed u can take advantage of other powerful stab moves like Electro ball, Acrobatics and Air slash

Ceruledge is beyond amazing,a ghostly gladiator gal,yes please!

Personally....I'm not a huge fan of Kingambit's design cause it's too busy in my eyes and I just honestly like the look of Bisharp more, plus I still think that Bisharp didn't need an evolution. But these are my favorite gen 9 Pokémon of the 18 types:

I didn't expect kamen rider to get a mention here so it's awesome.
I just wish Palafin evolved in a more……in a much less stupid way. Why can’t Finizen just…evolve into the hero from? And do so by…idk, another critical hit thing like Sir’fetched? I hate that it has the not-different-at-all form after it evolves, and I hate that you need the internet accessed co-op mode thing turned on and in use in order to make it evolve.
That is a good point. I definitely ain't putting in that amount of work for a dolphin hero
Because precisely the joke of Palafin is to look like a regular Finizen (see what they did?) and when nobody watch change to it's Hero form.
This is one of those few times a generation gives really good starter middle evolutions

So many badass Pokémon made the cut here! Skeledirge, Armarouge, Kilowattrel, Great Tusk, Roaring Moon! Gen 9 really has some top tier designs! Ngl, Maushold Is kinda bad tho.
I don't know why but I think floragato is the best middle evolution in Pokemon but torracat might be completion for me

Alright, I get that you don't really like Meowscarada, but what might make cooler is if you think of the shiny (or regular colors, take your pick) as Joker from Persona 5.
I just realise that Paldea has over 3 dog pokemon which in my opinion is kinda unorginal.
Btw a further realise is that since gen 7 there is a dog or 3 in every generation with mainly 2 stages
