Keep in mind, a high BST doesn't always mean a better pokemon. It's also about stat distribution along with a solid move pool and ability.
Like Espathra/Houndstone don’t even has a bst higher than 490 and are banned to Ubers, Pokemon like Tinkaton have a base stat over 500 and they’re still pretty overwhelming/weak to use
What's interesting is that Koraidon and Miraidon have the same base total as Slaking, Groudon, etc. at 670
And Maushold has a base stat total of 470 yet has the most broken multi hit move in Population Bomb

Gen 9 is definitely power crept. A lot of the paradox forms and the ruinous beasts have a base stat total of 570. Similar to gen 7 with the Tapu's and Ultra Beasts

Not on par with Gen 8 just yet imo, depending with how broken the new DLC mons are. The reason being Zacian, Urshifu, and Spectrier/Shadow Rider Calyrex. The new Legendary Pokemon do have some insane abilities.

Tbh older Legendaries had BST of 580 up until Sun and Moon. 570 became the norm with Tapus and UBs for some reason. Then again they all have amazing abilities

Well, it’s mainly on the base stat, so likely not accurate
Even though it has a really bad Stat it still have type advantage You can use move like Ember / other fire type moves and also Terastalize into fire type to boost the fire Type attack
It's not just about the total, it's where the stats go, and the movepool, typing and Ability as well.

With the DLC's coming out later this year, my prediction is that Ogerpon might have the same BST as Baxcalibor and Terapagos having 670. Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fenzadipiti could have 570

It’s crazy that palafin hero is the second ever Pokémon that isn’t a legendary/ mythical to be higher than 600 base stat along with slaking
It's always been interesting to me how Legendary Pokémon's BST aren't really that much higher than regular Pokémon. Like the Ruinous Quartet's BST is only 40 points higher than the fully evolved starters, and Baxcalibur and the other sudo legendries are all even higher

Whoever is designing Pokémon needs to stop. They are all clones of clones of clones. They aren’t even cool looking or interesting anymore. Get the original Kanto designer back to issue a clean 40 in the OG style instead of pokemon creations like “ staple-ler” or “ Rotary phone” and “ handy glove” like I made those up but not far off. They are all crap now
