- 2023 Ford F-250 Tremor review by The Straight Pipes. The Ford Super Duty F250 Tremor is putting down 430 horsepower and 485 lb-ft of torque from a Godzilla 7.3L V8. At $103,099 CAD, would you take it over the Dodge Power Wagon, Chevy Silverado HD 2500 ZR2, Ford F-150 Tremor?

Texas driver here- can’t wait to be tailgated by this!
Cool thing about the Tremor 7.3L, you automatically get the 4.30 axle ratio with no other option.
And a transmission rated for 1200 lb-ft of torque.

I drove an E-350/450 moving truck with the de-tuned “eco” version of this engine from Oregon to Indiana. It was loaded to the brim with stuff from a pretty sizable 2 bedroom apartment, and I still managed to average 12mpg on that trip (it cracked 15mpg once we got to the plains of Iowa and Nebraska). After we unloaded it, I tried flooring it, and it was WAY faster than it had any business being!
Column shifters are awesome, no need push to hide away brodozer mode
It's the perfect truck for the big city. Let's everyone know you really want to make a BOLD statement. The perfect truck for the Northern tundra. Another nice effort guys...
I drive my 22 2500 Ram 6.7L daily up here in Chicago land daily. The 3 times I've been rear-ended, their cars were totaled, and my HD aftermarket rear bumper was scratched. It's not a statement for me. It's HD protection for my family of 5. Others just are trying to show off how much debt they are in.
Trucks on this channel make us so happy
It really helps if you deflate the tires down to 60 psi. Softens up the small bump compliance. Stock is 80 psi, but that is for heavy hauling.
That new super duty is a really nice looking truck, especially in that color. That Tremor package seems to be a nice sweet spot too. Would I ever have a need for it, no... but still cool.
I like the older design much better. Maybe it will grow on me.
Tuxmat is a great gift! I bought a set for my parents new Pacifica. They are so much nicer than the factory floor mats.
Great to hear!!
Perfect base for a supercharger upgrade.
Was thinking the same thing !!!!!
got tuxmats from the dealer on my f150 tremor. love them the coverage is amazing.
Thanks for letting us know! Great to hear
Got mine for sale, there were nice and covered more than any other mat, but were a pain to take out and clean at winter, with using all the clips to keep the mat down.
The 7.3 is probably the best option for the Super Duty at the moment. And that's not because the 6.7 Powerstroke is bad, it isn't, it's great, but given the $10-12.5K entry price to get it, the expensive maintenance, and now having to REMOVE THE CAB to work on the engine (Spoiler alert: The cab isn't designed to come off), it's just not an option for me anymore. And that's not even talking about the ridiculous emissions systems constantly strangling the thing, or being suddenly thrown into limp mode because of a faulty sensor or low DEF. The 7.3 makes great HP and torque and will be much simpler and cheaper to maintain throughout the life of the truck. I do really like the Tremor package on these trucks. Getting a front-end level and (almost) 35s from the factory is pretty sweet. And when they're worn out, there's room for 37s!! What's not to like? Being a taller guy, I think the Super Duty also has the best headroom when compared to Ram and GM HD trucks. I'm on my 3rd Ram, but I think my next truck will be a Super Duty.
And no, I would NOT buy a truck that had been smoked in. Ever.
I can’t wrap my head around the idea that engine access on a truck this large is so poor that you have to remove the cab to get to it. That’s insane.
@@michaelw6277 service industry profit is 100% a consideration when all of these manufacturers engineer vehicles anymore

4.30 is hard to find in a non tremor. How's the bluetooth / phone calls in the Tremor at highway speeds? I imagine not great with those tires. Has to be noisy. The continental tires they mentioned look a lot quieter.
@@jonathanbeam6898 I didn’t have a tremor so I’m not sure. My F250 was quiet. It had the tow package which comes with a 4.30 ratio.

Surprised an engine 2.3L bigger than my 5.0 in my F150 only has 30 more HP and 65 more lbs. of torque. Still cool and probably the engine I'd prefer if I needed one of these giants.
It's all about where in the rev range it makes that power. The Coyote 5.0 makes power with revs, and the Godzilla makes it at low revs. It's also a pushrod engine to the Coyote's DOHC so it'll have less power density as well.
It's really in the sweet spot. Good power and reliability. MPG aren't all that terrible either given how huge it is.
Yeah pretty lackluster numbers. The powerboost is putting out 85 lbft of torque more.
7.3 has much lower compression compared to the 5.0 so generally that means it will be more reliable
The diesel option on it is great.
I preferred my Power Wagon though
Great video as useful guys
I will get it in Diesel ⛽️ version with the highest output engine 6.7l option.

This is a daily driver for many people around the Denver suburbs. I'm skeptical the drivers can see any pedestrians when they circle the shopping center parking lots.
I've got a Super Duty and the cameras are essential when there are obstacles of any sort. It's also so quiet and heavy, you could do a lot of damage running into things before you would notice.
They can’t. I’ve almost Ben run over by these behemoths. They should be illegal imho.
Yeah, I’ve seen them around Northern Colorado a lot lately. Always concerned that one will run me over, given the sight lines.
Same could be said for just about every other big truck and SUV being driven by a 5’ tall hottie mom.
It's a real issue. In the US Ped fatalities are highest since 1981. And climbing.
The f250 with the 7.3 gasser really is the best option for most people who need a truck this size. I would love to have one of these.
Literally noone needs this

I liked the part where you did the water cups and not the truck stuff
The Tremor is an odd duck. You buy a Super Duty to tow/haul and the Tremor package reduces your ability to tow and haul, due to the tire size and suspension. It's not a huge reduction, but the offroadiness is counter to the trucks purpose. The Super Duty is also just too darn big off road, in most places. I've got a 2022 F350 Lariat with the 7.3 and 4.30. Also, 10mpg in mixed driving.
10 mpg, that's pretty poopy!!
This is the male version of buying a G-Wagon and only taking it to the mall. Those are the people buying these
Hard agree mate but I think anything bigger than my 2 door Wrangler is too big offroad.
My last vehicle was a 4 door Wrangler, which we took to Honduras and back. Great on and off the road. Just bring a code reader.

Depending on how much space you need and what you carry. I can get a full size in many places the jeepers are surprised like how the hell you get back here. Depends on driving skill and how much you care about scratches and dents lol. I spend atleast 3 months camping hiking prospecting fishing and hunting with my truck as a base camp. Much of that time I have my family with me no way we could do what we do with anything less then a crew cab with 6 ' bed minimum. We don't hit jeep trails for fun only go where we need it's not a hobby but are lifestyle. Can put a atv or dirt bikes in the bed and go where no jeeps or sxs will go but mostly hike on foot as far away from trails and people as we can get. 37s and a winch will get you pretty damn far and honestly these trucks look bigger than they are. Super duty is same width as f150 and 6 inches narrower than raptor. Even the ram and tundra are wider then this. Turning radius ain't great definitely just back up when needed.
If you turn it off with it still in drive the shifter automatically puts itself into park
My 2020 Ford Escape does the same.
Beautiful, Love ❤️ it ❤️❤️👍👍
16:06 to 16:11 I like how yuri do his old American 🇺🇸 🤠 cowboy accent he is good at make the cowboy accent he should be a cowboy 🤠.
Is it required to make those faces as you manually shift the truck?
What happened to the other side of Yuri's mustache 😂
The tremor would be softer on road than other trim levels because off road suspension translates to softer ride unladen on pavement/broken pavement than the alternative heavy duty suspension setup designed for hauling and towing almost exclusively.
