I think a smooth, black Diamondback HD bedcover would look incredible on this pickup. Nothing against the one used here, and the Diamondback is very pricey, but omg would it look great!
You mentioned not having the tires at max tire pressure for just riding down the hi-way but didn’t specify where you do recommend keeping it at as a percentage of max when you aren’t towing or loaded out.
Directly speaking we don’t use a specific percentage. We base it on the wheel and tire package. Especially wheel width and tire width. Also what the vehicle weighs, on any given day. That covers the safety aspect, next is the wearing characteristics. Too much air = center tire wear, not enough air = outer tire wear. We focus on a nice even wear pattern for drivability and tire life. Thanks, Mike
I'm confused. I didn't notice this before, but which is that, the Tremor or the Platinum? Both are written on the truck (Look at the 5:58 mark). Given the video headline I thought it was a Tremor, but near the end, you enjoying those massaging seats, I didn't think the Tremor came with that, standard or as an option. So now I'm thinking it's a Platinum, but maybe there's some kind of a Tremor package, so it's both?
Tremors have a few options that are off road related that a platinum or lariat etc wouldn’t have. Example would be rock gaurds or some interior stuff. We took everything off that made it a tremor suspension wise when we did the full bds on this unit. There are certainly positives to buying a tremor if you don’t want to go this extreme.
Beautiful truck! Informative video! Nicely done! A question: An F150 likely suits my needs better. Am torn between customizing a Platinum or a Tremor. Will do a lot of highway driving, but some off road, more destination oriented, to a campsite or fishing spot or cabin, and most importantly, living mountainy ski country I will be driving in heavy snow storms quite often, those are the best ski days after all. Though I will get to the deserts and sea shore at times too. And there is a possibility I may do some version of an overland set up, so payload capacity for sure, but maybe towing too, is somewhat relevant, just not the priority. Am looking for max luxury in a go anywhere, anytime, any kind of weather vehicle. And I appreciate more road clearance. So, my question, or questions. Will the upgraded Fox coil over and shocks, front and rear, or something similar, perhaps better, make the F150 Tremor as smooth and luxurious a drive as the Platinum, generally, but especially on roads and highways? Is there anything that can be done to the Platinum or Tremor to make it as buttery smooth a drive as the Raptor? Thanks. And great vid!
Nate, great questions. Based on your intended goals with the truck. I think the Platinum would be more desirable, considering the amount of time you will spend in it. I would recommend finding one with 3.73 gears this will offset the additional weight and tire diameter once it is lifted. As far as suspension goes, BDS offers a quality suspension for the platinum or the tremor. Tire and wheel package will play a major part in overall ride quality. The sidewall height is critical , more sidewall = more cushion. As far as payload capacity, once you have made the decision to utilize the bed or pull a trailer. I would scale the truck and see what the numbers look like. Airbags can be your resolution if you need additional assistance, while loaded. Please feel free to call the shop, and I will give more in depth answers to any questions you might have. Thanks, Mike
@@rlcmotorsports I'd utilize the bed. The towing would be something small, maybe a smaller boat or something, but not a huge RV, so would just use the tow hookup at the back rear bumper, no 5th wheel. I agree with the 17" or 18" thicker rubber wheel, would love a 35 or maybe a 37 tire, but narrower not wider, so if possible, and would give good performance and advantage, I'd rather have the tire be a 10" width or even better a 9" width, in part because I've always understood narrower tires mean more lbs per square inch on the ground so better in icy and snowy conditions. I think I've learned also that a narrower tire, like a 9", would potentially allow a larger tire in the wheel well with less or maybe even no trimming and still have max clearance. I've been thinking 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 lift or level, maybe better the 3 1/2" level to give more clearance for the larger tire, as long as the suspension or shocks or ball joints, whatever might be stressed could be upgraded so no stress. Any thoughts on all this?
Badass build guys. Great job!
Looks great, I have this same truck in Black.

That’s sweet!

It is a platinum tremor
150,000$ truck all day maybe 160,000
Beautiful job, is there an advantage of having a tremor if you replace the suspension?

Paying 5k for a tremor package then swapping suspension equates to paying 5k for a decal
Not accurate
What make and model rear leaf springs are you running?
They are BDS glide ride leaf springs (bds003639)
Looks like a very expensive build
Fail with the bds kit. Should have been a carli kit. Bds kits ride like crap.
Can you send us a part number on the carli coil over swap kit ? Thanks.
