@@McCoyB2017yea but that's literally the point of the Frontier. It's not supposed to look nice fancy or luxurious like a Mercedes Benz or BMW. It may look cheap, but they did it on purpose. It's meant to be durable like an actual work truck.
@@McCoyB2017 spoken like someone who hasn't driven it. I've driven most midsized trucks (minus the GMC) and the Frontier is top of the list. The V6 is reliable as heck, too.
@@jonlosito2004 well yeah, but imo, it doesn't look good and the interior is about as modern as a 2010 ultima. I'd rather spend some extra cash and get a nicer one like the Tacoma, Colorado, etc

It's so corny how reviewers are programmed to hate on GM when their products are more competitive than Toyota is. Similar reliability, better tech and similar interior materials and somehow still gets flanked for things they praise a Toyota for. Welcome to actually being unbiased

I loved this truck! I loved the "diesel-esque" turbo whistle it does.

I like trucks that you almost see the entire wheel while looking at its front fascia, crazy approach angle. I think they messed up a bit with the bed choice. My town is full of Colorado and Canyon 2015-2022, and they all have the long bed. The Tacoma and Frontier also offers different cabin and bed sizes.
I have the edition 1 and it’s an amazing truck! Blown away by the interior every time I get in. Also own a 23 frontier pro 4x and it’s a great truck this AT4X is on another level.
You don't need 2 little trucks. I'll take either one off your hands
How does the power in the Nissan compare to the GMC in every day driving and in towing if you’ve done any? They make the same horsepower but the GMC has a lot more torque
@@dawsongranger4940 For everyday driving the Nissan is plenty capable. It’s really just nice to have the extra torque not a must have. At4x is for the person that wants better interior and off road capability. Most don’t need it.
In the US, heated seats are standard on the ZR2. Ventilation is optional with a package. Not sure about Canada

Don't do that, stick with V8 and N/A V6. They WILL last u along time I promise u that.

This truck is high on my list. Apparently the AT4X can haul 7700 lbs but the AEV has less payload due to the without of the tires, skid plates, etc.
when i think about a 90's f150 it's crazy to think this is the new "mid" size but damn that's a good looking truck

I love these ultra off road extra mega baja mud and and fine sand all road pick up with the piano gloss interior.
Truck looks great.........not $60,000 plus US dollars great though and it still has that GM reliability thing going on also...

Nice truck, but I'll stick with my 2022 Nissan Frontier Pro 4X. I know the two aren't apples to apples comparable with capabilities, but the overall simplicity of the Frontier makes it more appealing to me. Also, speaking from experience, that black yeti bottle would fit in the door of a Nissan, just sayin.

Heck yeah, great value Mid-Size 4x4 with same 310HP in a Nissan VQ V6. It's also $15K CAD cheaper than the GMC.

How reliable do you believe these will be long-term?
It’s a gmc and a turbo 4cyl. I bet the turbos will last 150k miles but that’s after everything else fails😂

Good looking truck. Maybe the best “look” they’ve had in a long long time! The interior stylist should rethink the Driver SRS pod on the steering wheel…it’s VERY dated. And the water bottle issue is N/G! EVERYONE carries water these days. Good tire size selection too. Overall, I like it…but he pricing is out of whack. My full sized Ram Laramie was out the door less than 50k right before COVID. I’m never paying more than hat for less truck. MOST people wont. All these automotive companies need to address their pricing. Pleasing stockholders is one thing. Trying to spoil them with rate of return?…well, that’s gunna end up destroying your industry.
You should probably go look at what a Laramie RAM cost today, prices are WAY different than pre-covid.

Yeah, you're right... so long as they work. They keep freezing up, and the over the air updates at night keep freezing mid load and killing the trucks batteries. Classic GM quality straight out of the gate.

This is a Midsize truck. Both of its major competitors have a turbo 4 cylinder too. This engine also comes in the full size Sierra.
This 4 cylinder produces more torque than the 5.3
It produces double the power that mid-size trucks with V8s had. Who cares how many cylinders it has?
@michaelstellitano2810 and still slower than a high revving 3.6L that had before.. there's a reason there's no vids of new vs old if it's sooo much better.

Damn almost $70g for that. My grandpa bought a Ram 1500 Laramie in peak recession in 2008 for $31g CAD. Even a Civic costs more than that these days.

Cool truck. Don’t think I’d ever buy a vehicle that relies solely on a software UI to operate things like headlights. It can fail. And it’s more steps than an actual switch.

the colorado get almost every feature the the canyon gets. including the heated/vented seats, heated steering wheel, and even the cameras underneath. The canyon really is just for the name and different aesthetics at a slightly higher price point.
Colorado doesn't get HUD or power passenger seat or the lighted side markers.

2 biggest issues. First is you can get a full size truck for the prices they are asking. Second, no 6 cylinder option? Turbo charged 4 bangers wear out too quick. Proven by the ecoboost I’ve got that needed a new turbo at 80k. Love the look tho.
They should have kept the V6 and turbo’ed that. I can’t stand all the manufacturers doing the smaller motors with turbos. Especially in such a heavy vehicle. They may get the job done, but when you put your foot to the floor, they all sound like they are going to blow up. More than that they just make maintained more complicated. You now have a turbo, intercooler a, more piping and wiring. Keep it
So you’re asking for a turbo v6 but complaining about the truck having a turbo??? Emissions is why they went to a smaller engine and the massive torque this engine has
