My Dad got a 2021 XLT with all the bells and whistles you can get on that trim. Drives like a dream and all the small problems that popped up in the 2022, especially the transmission don’t exist. But that Tremor does look stunning
I used to be all about all the driver assist and hands free driving systems that every automaker is putting in the cars but now at the end of the day I'm just like "Just learn how to f*cking drive." Thats kinda why I'm becoming more and more of a fan of base model vehicle, and why I'm excited to see what Ford does with the F150 Rattler.
Damn they really named it the Rattler. Talk about turning a joke into a feature

2021 F-150 KR w/ Blue Cruise enabled. I love it and would definitely continue to spec it if I needed to. I think you either weren't on a road it was enabled on OR you just didn't have it enabled in your trucks. It totally works on the roads it is authorized and is a game changer, especially in traffic. I do agree that the sensors are VERY sensitive and annoying, but it's a safety feature and a great trade-off to what this offers. Prefer Blue Cruise over the Tesla FSD Beta's we've worked through in my wife's Model Y... Great vid!
Walked by my local ford dealership tonight and saw this truck in the azzure blue metallic with orange tremor badging and trim and wad blown away. Had to come immediately to UA-cam and see some reviews. The truck is stunning in person.

Ambient lighting changed to only blue for 2018. There were people buying 2017 parts to change it to 7 colors and that also required forscan update. They also did away with the indicator lights on the console for the shifter mid year. Thankfully, that has returned.

I just did a 500 Mile weekend trip with the family and my Blue Cruise worked about 95% of the time. I was not going to buy the truck with blue cruise but now have found that it's my favorite feature.

As an owner of the 10 Spd, it likes to skip gear 2 and go straight from 1-3 when accelerating. It creates this horrible lag feeling, especially when accelerating while making a turn from a full stop. Might be what you were experiencing.
Something is wrong with your great box.
I noticed that today on my 2018 f150 with the 10 speed. Skips right over 2nd gear. And shifts hard between 3rd and 5th gear.

Our Mach-E GT has no issues with blue cruise, sucks that in your testing it’s been wacky.

@@kenshinhimura9387 If you're talking a base model work truck sure. but nobody buys base work trucks anymore except businesses with fleets. People want tech. What you guys keep complaining about is wanting these NON work trucks for work truck prices. These trucks are mostly pavement princesses. They get groceries, pick up the kids, commute to work, etc. They aren't just work trucks anymore. They're more practical than a small sedan or even a large SUV in some cases unless you have a family bigger than 4 or 5.
Unfortunately they won’t because dumbasses are willingly paying too much.

How does the sound system compared to Rebel's Harman Kardon? Also the ride. I would assume Rebel rides better with its coil suspension?
I'm pretty sure the gear searching it was doing is because you didn't have it in sport mode. I've found that with several vehicles from different manufacturers where the vehicle is purposely shifting in a way to supposedly save gas. When I've done comparisons of my mileage in Sport mode vs Standard it was nearly the same but in sport mode you get spot on performance.
Lithium and Ozzys Boneyard are where it's at. You guys getting SiriusXM as a sponsor makes so much sense. I have never heard anyone talk about satellite radio as much as you. Congrats.

I have a Mach E and had the same issues with BlueCruise, it wouldn't activate hands free even though I was on an eligible highway. Ford just pushed an update last night that updated the BlueCruise map and now it's working fine.
3 years ago I supposed to get rid of my old SUV and get a F250 but wanted to wait for the 7.3 gasser and tremor, oh well, huge mistake. missing the old days of employee pricing where $15k off the F250 king ranch

2022 F150 Tremor here...rides much better than my old Titan and tows more, faster, gets better mileage. Put on a Livernois tune and it screams at 500hp/600tq

In the last few weeks I've made two drives from Maryland to Atlanta and a drive from Maryland to NC in my 2021 Lariat. I didn't have any of the issues you noted in your complaints😮 about Blue Cruise. Note there's actually 3 cameras (cameras on both sides of the top button row) and yes you still have to look forward. 5 seconds not looking will generate an alert.
Idk if the trans lag is on purpose or not, because they can surely make it shift faster, or if it's made different way for durability which translates into slower shifting, i really would like to know, because in older 6 speed models it feels almost dangerous to do decisions for passing, it feels like it goes in choke then it suddenly shifts... I ended up often using gear limiter to be prepared in downshift gear

It looks good but it still needs a leveling kit. Bilstien 5100s set on the middle perch would fix the look easily and for cheap.

I have an f150 with blue cruise, and it works great! It looks like it was turned off - when it goes into blue cruise the cluster turns all blue vs what you showed. It wasn't in blue cruise when you filmed it.

Even though I can't afford anything you guys showcase, I still really enjoy your videos. Honestly, I wish car manufacturers would produce more Mavericks and far less of this sort of crap only the wealthy can afford. Ford needs to build a Model T for the modern era. I'd take manually rolling windows over some BS driver assist software that doesn't even work any day of the week.

You guys are wrong on the BlueCruise issue. I have a ‘22 Tremor and use BlueCruise every day to commute to work. It’s not a Tesla but I love it and it works flawlessly.
Thoughts on this vs a previous gen raptor?
I have a 21 leadfoot that’s loaded and I love the truck. No sunroof but it does have the bluecruise which is awesome. Needs a level but waiting on some better aftermarket options.
Also I wired up a sub because I thought the sound system was meh.
I just got a 22, I opted for no pano. Always had problems with em.

So Ford is skipping out on some digital displays and LED bulbs. Chevy says some features will have to retrofitted later at the dealer. Anyone have a list of anything of what features are skipped due to the chip shortage how are the different truck makers handling it?

@Enough those were the early generations, they're pretty much fully sorted now. And they make huge power when tuned. Even the 2.7 can be taken upto 500hp pretty easily

I completely agree with Cory, Ford so often doesn’t get it. While most other makes are selling everything the build with colours like Lead foot, Ford drops it. Such a common thing with Ford. Just as all the other makes are coming out with colour changing interior lighting systems…ford dropped it. How don’t they get it? It’s one of the many things that hurts the brain. LeadFoot on the Tremor would be so awesome. I have a 23 “Avalanche” coloured one coming, just slightly darker than space white that was so popular they just dropped that too lol. Only Ford. Side note, great job as usual guys!!! (I wrote that before I finished watching, funny you pointed out the ambient lighting, but it’s been actually gone in the F150 since 2017 just FYI)
Toyota also does this with their Cavalry and Voodoo Blue. So does Porsche
